SheepyheadSRThis is my second time beating 50/20 mode, all for the sake of getting it on camera. This took less than 4 hours of attempts, which is actually pretty good all things considered. At the end when I discussed strategy I was explaining modifications to DJ Sterf's strategy. (Shoutout to him, he has easily the best strategy/tutorial videos for all the FNaF games.)
Would I recommend this to anyone? Yes! Trust me when I say, that adding one animatronic at a time (unless they are functionally the same with how you deal with them, in which case add more than one) that it's very easy to complete this with enough practice and luck. i was gonna do post commentary but got lazy so heres some miscellaneous notes:
-my keyboard came with two separate giant buttons, which you can see on the right of my webcam, and this run finally gave me a good use for them! the top button is bound to ctrl and is held down by a DS through the whole run to skip dialogue. during the spamton neo fight, i rotate the DS to also hold down the bottom button, bound to numpad enter. i guess technically this is macro use? though i dont think anyone would actually argue that the way im using it is cheating :P -this was continued from a chapter 1 no hit file, which i didnt bother recording because all of my strats were obvious and pretty boring. as a result, my gear here in chapter 2 is a little suboptimal, since i wasnt planning on having this be a segmented full game run yet. -i have no idea why susie stops being at max hp when i defeat the werewires at 3:02. it happens every run. is it a basegame thing??? i have the 30tbps mod but i think that doesnt even do anything after chapter 1? -i detour to get the glowshard at 5:22 so i'll be able to unequip both the ironshackle and jevilstail from susie before the berdly fight, without having to spend money at the shop. -during the sweet cap'n cakes fight, i wait a bit before starting the final turn, because the bullet patterns are synced to the music. that particular section of their theme has long bullets coming from the side that can easily wall you, so i just wait until that part of the song is over. -i grab the tensionbit because i wanted to make the tensionbow. i completely forgot to do this when i got to the light world and am now screwed out of it (until after the knight fight, which is why i wanted it in the first place...) -please close your eyes and mute the video during the first berdly fight. i promise i didnt mess up the 2 turn and you arent missing anything. -i full sprint through the cheese maze room because walking in there is FOR BABIES -during spamton neo, i dont use the big shot glitch until phone hands starts, to get the easier version of the pattern. the only downside is that i sometimes mess up pipis cannon when doing the pattern ethically, but its a net risk loss compared to the enraged version of phone hands -i dont equip the dealmaker because i realized i did all of my practice on queen without it, and didnt want to meddle with my setup to ensure i skip the ultimate attack. -speaking of, i skip the ultimate attack by getting queen between 26-33% HP and then using redbuster + ralsei attack (doesnt need to be a crit). the wiki is just straight up wrong about queen always surviving on 1hp to use her ultimate attack every time. -please close your eyes during the mauswheel fight i promise i did not mess up the 2 turn here either -44:00 cat jumpscare -45:19 cat jumpscareTouhou 4: Lotus Land Story ReimuA Lunatic Perfect 1CC [LNN No Miss No Bombs]SheepyheadSR2026-01-07 | THE HEAT DEATH OF LOTUS LAND STORY SURVIVALlls marisaSheepyheadSR2025-12-10 | ...Touhou 4: Lotus Land Story MarisaB Lunatic Perfect 1CC [LNN No Miss No Bombs]SheepyheadSR2025-10-17 | total fluke, but i'm glad i got this before legends z-a starts sucking up all my free timeTouhou 4: Lotus Land Story ReimuB Lunatic Perfect 1CC [LNN No Miss No Bombs]SheepyheadSR2025-09-21 | Thumbnail art by Comet Summoner yet again! pixiv.net/en/users/97772363

Can you believe I thought this would be done in April? Well, it definitely should've. Once you learn the game, it becomes a matter of getting past the two Hikarikos and stage 5 rings. Assuming you're playing MarisaA, the only other part of the game that can be considered a runkiller is Reimu. Reimu will meme you sometimes, but you can get very consistent at her through practice and knowing the right reading windows.
While nothing after rings is particularly hard, the nerves you will face on the remainder of the game are brutal. I had a total of 6 runs that lost pace after rings. Each and every one of these credits should have been the LNN but died in really silly ways that would never have happened if I could just think straight. To add insult to injury, my first LNN past rings was in February, just one month after I began practice for this run. I had to live for 4 long months knowing that I could've already moved on from this game by now if I wasn't such a nervous wreck. And this entire time I was handling the grind very poorly. I never (willingly) took a break for longer than 2 days because I was so afraid of getting rusty. I didn't play many other games. I always used up my morning free time to play LLS instead of doing whatever it is I actually wanted, as mornings are when I play best. It sucks that I learned the hard way, but not taking the grind nearly as seriously is a very valuable lesson learned.
In the 1 miss that I uploaded, I estimated that I would be done by the end of April. I probably would've been done by then if it wasn't for a pesky botched wisdom teeth removal surgery, paired with not getting my prescribed medicine and completely unrelated sicknesses coming for me at the worst possible time!!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!
That's all the complaining I had pent up. If you have any questions about the run, I will read your comments. I also plan on making a video going over everything I know about LLS and MS survival to hopefully make life easier for any aspiring LNN clearers. Thank you to everyone who gave advice and kind words. I hope the remaining 3 pc98 games will be nicer, but I'm sure you can guess why I won't be going nearly as hard on any of the games.Touhou 4 Lotus Land Story: Lunatic 1 Miss No BombsSheepyheadSR2024-02-23 | ignore the thumbnailTouhou 5: Mystic Square Yuuka Lunatic Perfect 1CC [LNN No Miss No Bombs]SheepyheadSR2023-08-26 | The beautiful artwork in the thumbnail was done by Barudo! It was commissioned specifically for this video. I couldn't think of anyone better for the job, than a fellow mega enjoyer of all things Mystic Square.
After grinding for months, I got the run and I couldn't be happier. An LNN in my favorite Touhou game as one of my favorite Touhou characters. And it's apparently a world's first, so this is also for any fellow Yuuka enjoyers.
On a related note, being a Yuuka fan is the sole reason why I picked her. The world's first is a nice bonus, but I was mainly after the Yuuka LNN. Yuuka being the worst shot in the game did little to deter me, she sucks but it's not comparable to the bad shots you see in windows era (DDC especially). Yuuka has a couple redeeming factors, the most notable is a lot of RNG spam sections are made much easier if not free. The ice shard enemy things at the end of stage 2, the stage 5 opener, and stage 5 ending spam are all much easier as Yuuka. Due to her being able to hit most enemies on screen, and low health enemies you typically see during spam negating her terrible DPS, you could argue she's more consistent of a shot than Mima due to being less influenced by bad RNG. But alas, she's the worst shot in the game for a reason. The biggest by far is her god awful performance against Yumeko red and blue spam. Shot range is thrown out the window because you time these patterns out. All that's left is Yuuka's sluggish movement speed to make her easily the worst performing shot against Yumeko. Stage 4 also becomes needlessly annoying, as her damage output struggles to deal with the abundant "pinwheel" enemies as I call them. Pinwheels often spawn on opposite sides of the screen, too, which Yuuka struggles to reach thanks to her move speed. In particular, I've dubbed the section at 13:58-14:17 "The Pinwheel Massacre". This is thanks to Yuuka needing to make a really stupid dodge at the end of it to avoid the pinwheels that spawn from the bottom of the screen, while also lining yourself up somewhat precisely to make sure the ones on your side are unalived before they can shoot. Having to survive every boss pattern for longer also does not help at all.
TL;DR: Yuuka is really terrible.
I should also make it clear that I am fully aware of Mystic Square being an easier Touhou game, as well as the fact that I am not a very great Touhou player. A lot of my dodges were terrible to be frank, and given the amount of close calls during the Shinki fight, I wouldn't argue if you claimed this was nothing more than a fluke. I do not want to pass this off as anything more, or pretend this run is more impressive than it is. I am proud of myself but I've got a long way before I'm worthy of sitting at the same lunch table as actual supes.
My previous PB was from just over a week ago, and it was a 1 miss to Shinki's final. That run was really heartbreaking and caused a ton of motivation issues. Someone likened it to a lunatic 1MNBNT in Ten Desires to NDS, which seems pretty accurate.
I think that's all I have to say. I'd like to make a video going in depth on actual gameplay strategies, but for now if you have any questions just leave a comment. I'm sure I'll get a grand total of zero comments so it won't be hard to keep up with them all.Touhou 5 Mystic Square: Lunatic Yuuka 1 Miss No BombsSheepyheadSR2023-08-10 | TURN ON SUBTITLES!!! I didn't realize how much louder the game was than my mic audio until it was too late. I'll make sure the LNN doesn't have this issue but for now captions are all I can do.
Overall I'm fine with this run. The death was very easily avoidable but I can't say for certain that this would've been the LNN had I avoided the death as I would've been much more nerveous.
A few other things, I know rank doesn't make a huge difference in Mystic Square. By the time I found this out, avoiding point items and such was already habit. The reason I'm picking Yuuka is just because I'm a big Yuuka fan. I'm well aware that she's probably the worst shot in this game but I simply do not care. Potentially getting a world's first LNN is a nice cherry on top, but I would've gone with Yuuka regardless. If anyone gets a Yuuka LNN before me, I'm going to continue using her. I am also aware that the audio bugs out towards the end of stage 4. This is an OBS issue that I don't know how to fix.Touhou 4 Extra Perfect All Shots Compilation [ExNN No Miss No Bombs]SheepyheadSR2023-05-16 | PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: WE ARE RENAMING GENGETSU'S TIMEOUT PHASE TO "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE".
Pretty easy stage. From worst to best I would rank the shots like so: ReimuA, ReimuB, MarisaB, MarisaA. The two Reimus trivialize the stage in different ways while struggling to kill the boss patterns. Meanwhile the stage is already quite easy so the Marisas aren't missing out on much while having far superior damage output. I'm having a lot of fun going for these allshot runs. My short term goal is definitely to do the same with every single extra stage in the series. Next I'll probably work on getting the rest of the PC-98 ExNNs out of the way with SoEW. Judging by appearance, SoEW seems to be by far the easiest extra stage in the whole series. Very short with simple patterns, plus it only has three shot types. Shouldn't take long.
ReimuA: 0:14 ReimuB: 8:53 MarisaA: 17:53 MarisaB: 26:07Touhou 7 Phantasm Perfect All Shots Compilation [PhNNN No Miss No Bombs No Border Breaks]SheepyheadSR2023-05-05 | A compilation of me beating the Touhou 7 PCB phantasm stage, as every character, without making any survival mistakes. Exactly one year after doing the same for the extra stage!
Miscellaneous thoughts and explanations. I would rank the shot types worst to best like so: MarisaB, MarisaA, ReimuA, ReimuB, SakuyaA, SakuyaB. In the context of a no bombs run, the Marisas don't have any distinct advantages aside from a couple handy speedkills. They don't perform notably well on any problem areas while making the stage sections a good bit harder. Without bombs, MarisaB is a strictly worse version of MarisaA. Worse DPS with basically the same range focused and unfocused, and there are no use cases of the laser penetration. ReimuA trivializing the stage is helpful, but SakuyaA does it better while being better at the Yukari fight due to not having as terrible of damage output. The other three shots (ReimuB, SakuyaA, and SakuyaB) don't have any major weaknesses. ReimuB has just enough range to where not having homing/angling isn't much of an issue, while not struggling in particular on any pattern. SakuyaA is by far the easiest shot, and is who I would recommend to anyone just going for a clear. SakuyaA makes the stage an absolute cakewalk, and the only boss pattern she kinda dislikes is Mesh of Light and Darkness simply due to other shots being able to end it faster. SakuyaB is the best of both worlds though. Great DPS, has angling which is just homing but fun to use, and no weaknesses on the endboss. Only thing is that she has a small learning curve but she's a lot of fun so I would recommend her anyway. Sakuyas are gooood.
If it looks like I'm doing weird nofocus strats, it's because I am. I had a self-imposed challenge of trying to get every point item based extend. This isn't that hard, you have over 100 point items of leeway, but I still liked trying to get as many as I could. Anyway, to do so I routed to make sure a border happens during the spam section near the end of the stage. Though sometimes I got the PhNNN run before I could properly learn a route for the shot, as it slightly changes per character. Thankfully all six managed to get the 800 point item extend regardless.
Next up on the extra stage hitlist is LLS. Just because Gengetsu's theme is my favorite Touhou song of all time. The stage does look fun, easy, and there's only four shots so hopefully it'll be quick.Touhou 13 Extra Perfect All Shots Compilation [ExNNN No Miss No Bomb No Trance]SheepyheadSR2023-01-30 | If any questions you have about the run, the stage, or anything related wasn't answered by the video itself, don't hesitate to leave a comment. This stage is perfectly fine and is relatively easy... if you're not playing as Yuuka. I honestly think Yuuka is a decent and slept on shot type for the main game, but a single unfortunately designed stage portion turns her into an abolute nightmare for this extra stage. The section from 0:40 to 1:45 is a casino that puts anything EoSD throws at you to shame. The bullet speed and density are pretty bad, not the worst in the entire series, but the issue is having to survive a solid minute of it while switching your side of the screen around four times (each switch more difficult than the last) before it's over. I'm lucky to get even one run past this part on NMNB pace during a play session. If savestates didn't exist and allow me to practice the Alice fight, I likely would still be putting in attempts for this solely because of how few runs get out of this one awful stage section. Arguably even worse is the nerves I had to deal with on any run that made it past this point on ExNN pace. I get that being nervous probably isn't an issue for everyone but at least for me they made things SO much more difficult. All but one boss pattern in the entire rest of the stage is easy as long as you can actually, y'know, hold yourself together. Due to how few runs I got out of the first two minutes, I dealt with the worst nerve problems I've had since my first ever 1CC. Pretty much everything was capable of ending a run. Without nerves I probably wouldn't have needed to time out the final pattern (even then you can pretty clearly tell from the dodges I made on the final pattern that I was dealing with a scattered brain and shaky hands, lol.) Heck, the 2MNB run I uploaded yesterday probably could've been a no miss if I wasn't so nervous.
There's really not a whole lot I have to say about the rest of the stage. Without that one terrible stage portion this ExNN would be exponentially easier, as proved by literally any of the other three shot types and how they don't even remotely struggle.
The midboss? Free, as long as you've killed all the enemies before he shows up. Because for some reason the normal enemies don't automatically die when the midboss shows up. The rest of the stage? Free. The endboss? Free, aside from the fourth to last pattern. Shown at 5:43, there's not many tips I can give for this part. I try to stay underneath Alice during this pattern but you can't reliably follow her. It's kinda just a matter of making a savestate and replaying the section until you git gud.
If you have any questions, just leave a comment. I'll be more than happy to reply. Even if I dismissed something as being free, everyone sees patterns differently so I'll try to explain something you might be having a hard time on.Touhou 5 Extra 2 Miss No Bombs [Yuuka]SheepyheadSR2022-05-14 | CAPTURE EVERY DIFFICULT PATTERN/STAGE SECTION. MISS TO THE DUMBEST ROUTING ERROR AND THE EASIEST BOSS PATTERN. I LOVE TOUHOU PROJECT.
To put it bluntly, this stage as Yuuka is complete bullshit. The section with the long "carpet" and little card dudes makes me want to pop a fucking vein every time I die to it. NONE of the other shots struggle on it, or anything else in this entire stage for that matter. It takes forever to get a run past this point. (Yesterday I didn't even get one run NMNB post-midboss....) By the time I do get a run that makes it past the midboss unscathed I'm way too nervous to play the rest of the stage, as evidenced by both of the deaths in this run. To add insult to injury, the remaining stage portion, the midboss (assuming none of the card enemies are alive by the time you get there), and endboss (barring the fourth to last pattern), is honestly 100% free without nerves getting in the way.
There's not much you can do about the fourth to last pattern aside from git gud. Thankfully the two other difficult patterns Alice has you can cheese. For the last pattern you can cheese it by not shooting. When you don't shoot the pattern, it won't progress to a point where alice starts moving left and right at high speeds. This makes it piss easy to timeout. I would have done this strat if the run was on ExNN pace, but of course it wasn't. The third to last pattern is also pretty bullshit if you try to dodge normally but there's a really easy safespot in the center that most people seem to use. I'll definitely be using this safespot when I get a run to that point on ExNN pace. Other than that, I honestly think there are no other difficult parts of this stage. The entire reason why this ExNN is so difficult is solely because specifically Yuuka sucks unfathomably hard on that minute long part of the stage.
Thanks to Helio Knight for the image of the stage used in the thumbnail. I make my thumbnails using a mobile app so it was easier to just screenshot an already existing video on YT. He also let me know that PC-98 emulators have savestates, which didn't click in my tiny monkey brain for some reason. Savestates made practicing much easier.
ExNN hopefully soon but the card enemy section may have other plans for me.Touhou 7 Extra Perfect All Shots Compilation [ExNNN No Miss No Bombs No Border Breaks]SheepyheadSR2022-05-05 | ReimuA: 0:00 ReimuB: 13:29 MarisaA: 26:09 MarisaB: 37:47 SakuyaA: 50:38 SakuyaB: 1:03:04
First time going for something like this, it was fun fully learning the ins and outs of the stage. The order I got the runs in was ReimuB, ReimuA, SakuyaA, MarisaB, MarisaA, and then SakuyaB. Watching in that order, you can definitely see improvement to strategies and routing.
One thing about the route... The reason I nofocus most of the Chen midboss is to set up a border during the spam section at the end of the stage portion. The border item magnet allows me to get the third point item 1up. This was just a boredom killer during the intial ReimuB run but I did make a small effort to get this 1up with the other shots.
The stage is just streaming and memorizing enemy spawns. Route is the exact same for every shot type. Just follow what I do. Chen midboss is also pretty easy. It can be a little scary at first with how fast the bullets move. Download thprac and play it a couple times, you'll learn how to dodge it really fast and it'll be no problem. Red Oni Blue Oni is just advanced streaming. Make sure you're looking where you're GOING and not where you ARE. The card can rarely ever wall you out, so be aware of when to move a tiny bit upwards. Soaring Bishamonten is less difficult to dodge than it may look. Chen's movement is static, so follow her on the bottom of the screen until she swoops down. Once she does, just circle around her in the middle. Once you get the hang of the card, you can shoot it down before it becomes much of an issue.
Now the fun part, Ran. Her nonspells aren't that bad. Most are just more difficult streaming. Start far to one side of the screen and you won't have to restream. Her 5th and 6th nons can get pretty nasty, I lost a few runs to the 5th non. Her 7th non is also kinda disgusting. The dark green kunai can keep moving horizontally, so be sure to look back and forth between the lime green and dark green. Senko Thoughtful Meditation is just slow streaming. Banquet of the Twelve General Gods is just memorizing where the bullets spawn. Follow the magenta arrowheads down to the bottom, then before the magenta walls you off, dodge to the right and get into the opening. Then all you need to worry about is the light blue arrowheads, the dark blue butterflies, and later some light blue arrowheads will spawn from the left side. Kitsune-Tanuki Youkai Laser isn't bad. You can dodge through the divide between the left and right pointing lasers, which gives you a ton of room to dodge. I would recommend being decently far up on the screen during this card. Charming Seige from All Sides IMO is the hardest card in the stage. When you get stuck at the bottom you can so easily get walled. Anecdotally, I find that you moving up and down decreases the chances of Ran moving down, making it more consistent. Princess Tenko is pretty self explanatory. You can misdirect if you want, but it's not really needed. Ultimate Buddhist is just moving in a circle. The lasers are very generous with when their hitbox activates. Unilateral Contact second hardest card IMO. It's just a matter of gitting gud and practicing a lot, unfortunately. It's not as bad as DBDB but this card still can be mean. Shikigami Chen is also pretty much just practicing, its not that hard to read once you get the hang of it. For Kokkuri-San's Contract, you first have to memorize where the circle goes. For most people I'd imagine it would be fine, but if you're like me, for whatever reason, the timing is hard to get down. I always take each section of bullets one at a time, saying "no" out loud when it's NOT safe to go, which makes it easier to know when it IS safe to move. The final section in the center of the screen is just a matter of practicing and knowing how to anticipate where the bullets will eventually cross. Finally, Descent of Izuna Gongen. When Ran fires each wave for the first time, the orientation of those bullets is completely static for the rest of the attempt. If you're safe from the rice by standing in the corner, you will always be safe from the rice in that corner until Ran moves. I like to align myself with letters in the "enemy" marker, which makes it easier to get back into position when Ran moves. Additionally, I find that Ran's movement is likely based on your own. The quicker you're able to stop moving, the less likely Ran is to move. Sadly you can't always control this, but sometimes I would stop shooting to make sure ran and I could settle down before too many waves come into play.
That's about it, if you have any questions just ask in the comments.Pokemon Black Victory Road SoftlockSheepyheadSR2022-03-30 | Weird softlock that can happen in victory road. I tried searching for anyone who has encountered this same glitch but only came across people who just got lost in the victory road caves. You could already tell from the video, but I am playing on a Japanese copy and an emulator. The rom was dumped using GodMode9 with an authentic physical copy that I own, (I'm serious. This isn't one of those passive aggressive "anti-piracy" bits a lot of youtubers do nowadays), and was run on a fresh install of the newest version of DeSmuME with no modifications to its default settings other than controls. This is all to say, it's entirely possible that this glitch is only possible on emulator and/or Japanese versions of Pokemon Black (and likely white).Touhou 10 Extra Perfect [ExNN No Miss No Bombs Full Spell] ReimuBSheepyheadSR2022-02-15 | My second ExNN(N). Felt much much easier than SA but I'm not sure if the actual stage is easier or if I've just improved a lot as a player. Pretty much everything until the final three cards is irritating at worst. Froggy Braves the Wind and Rain can wall you, but on very rare occasion. The Snake Eats the Croaking Frog can be annoying with how hard it is to see the "safe spot" under Suwako. Other than that, everything else is either not an issue or just requires routing.
Red Frogs of Houei 4 is inconsistent even if you route it, but as long as you're trying to overlap the "jumps" as much as possible it's not that bad. In this particular run I REALLY messed up but managed to weasel my way out anyway.
Native Myth vs Central Myth is just annoying to learn. The card is only really an issue on the last two or three waves but practicing that point requires you to sit through the entire rest of the spell. If you could practice just final section of this card then it wouldn't be a problem.
Mishaguji-sama isn't that bad but with nerves it felt like walking on eggshells. Thankfully I never missed to it on ExNN pace but with how shaky my hands were at that point I'd say I definitely got pretty lucky.
That's all! I'll probably do some hard no bombs runs next before taking on my next extra stage. When I do go for another ExNN(N) I'll either go for another second generation windows game or a PC-98 game.
Replay: http://replay.lunarcast.net/replay/th10_ud3552.rpyTouhou Fantastic Danmaku Festival Lunatic No Bombs [Patchouli, ver 1.05]SheepyheadSR2022-01-14 | This was my first ever lunatic no bombs run out of any Touhou game, official or not. I'm not very proud of my performance, thirteen misses is... not that great, to say the least. But, this is still a milestone I think is worth sharing.
I'm really frustrated with most of the misses. I think with my current skill I could pull off an eight miss no bombs at best. This is because while I'm confident in my ability to dodge nearly everything in this game, stamina is a huge issue for me as a Touhou player. There's no real way to practice stamina, it's just something I'll have to improve at with time. But with my current skill, had stamina NOT been an issue, I believe I would be able to get a three or four miss run with ease.
The only sections I have absolutely no clue how to dodge are Koakuma's first nonspell and Spear of Gungir. - Koakuma's first non is hard for me because of how deceiving the gaps are. What may seem like a way AROUND the wave is often just one of the "openings" INTO the bullet formation where you get walled. Ironically in this run I got hit due to a misinput rather than a misread, but nine times out of ten it's the other way around. - For Spear of Gungir, I'm just bad. I don't know where to even begin with this one. I have no idea where to read, what bullets are the biggest threat, routing, why my character freezes sometimes, or anything else with this spell. It's just a huge mess massive skill issue. Without spell practice it will be really difficult to learn this one. - Other parts like Devil Fiesta, Sakuya's nonspells, and stage 6 Nix are also quite hard for me. I know how to dodge these parts but the issue is execution. With time I'll improve at these sections. Again, spell practice would make this process so much better.
Everything else I know how to dodge. In the distant future I'll definitely return to this game for LNN attempts once I have better endurance. Meanwhile, I'll probably drop Fantastic Danmaku Festival once I get the three remaining achievements. From there I'll most likely pick up the sequel, Fantastic Danmaku Festival Part II. Thankfully FDF 2 has spell practice so maybe I'll even get my first LNN(N)! Thanks for reading, and watching :)
Originally, my goal with this stage was a no bombs clear. Which did succeed with a 2MNB, which was so close to perfect I decided to go for a NMNB. Got this clear around 3 days after the 2MNB. I'm VERY happy with this run. In less than a year I've gone from barely scraping past Rumia on normal to an ExNMNB clear. Starting with zero shmup/bullet hell knowledge I would have never believed I could make it this far already. I'm a very long ways away from my long term goal of LNNs but this is a milestone I'm very proud of.
As for the stage itself, I found the first half of the stage portion harder than Koishi. Even after excessive practicing I couldn't consistently get past the rice wave fairies (the ones that show up at 00:18 - 00:38). I like to graze their waves while moving to the other side, to fill the bar in the bottom left so I don't have to PoC for the power items. For whatever reason, I just kept missing while moving upwards between the waves. This section really shouldn't be much of an issue but for some reason I struggled a lot on it. The first half of the stage is smooth sailing until the Sanae midboss. Quite a few runs ended here. Her first and second spells aren't that bad, but occasionally I would accidentally move too far to the left or right. Her third spell was the hardest, and I can't really explain why. When watching the spell the gaps are obvious, but when I'm actually performing the spell I have a hard time reading the bullets on the right side. I tried using the safespot, but found it even more inconsistent than dodging normally. After sanae, the only section that I occasionally died to were the fairies shooting the green bubbles. Only two or three runs died to them, due to underestimating their speed.
As for Koishi, I believe her hardest spell is Rorschach in Danmaku. The first waves of blue bullets really lead you into thinking it's better to bottom hug to wait for the gaps to get bigger. This works for the blue bullets but the green and pink ones can easily wall you when staying at the bottom. Just be aggressive, and this spell will get a lot easier. Genetics of the Unconscious just required routing. Explaining the route in text is annoying, so hopefully the video is self explanatory enough. Mostly the same story for Philosophy of a Hated person, but the section of yellow bullets does require a little practice on top of knowing where to go ahead of time. Release of the Id and Super Ego were tricky to get the hang of, but once you learn how they work, it's like riding a bike. Every other spell card is pretty self explanatory, some just require a bit of practice. None of the nonspells are issues. This is the first extra stage I really got invested into learning so I'm not gonna make a judgement call on how difficult this stage is, considering I have nothing else to compare it to. The next extra stage I want to take on is UFO, but I might do other non-extra stage runs beforehand.Fingore Fighters No Miss No PowerupsSheepyheadSR2021-05-31 | I'm so good at video games. No, I don't care that I didn't go to fullscreen.

I am aware that eventually I'll probably have to change the title to say "The FIRST footage..." instead of "The ONLY footage..." but honestly I don't care if the title is factually incorrect. I'm not gonna search YT every day over some text on a channel nobody cares about, so unless someone I actively watch who might make a video like this does so, (i.e. Johnstone or Jrose) I'm probably not gonna see any videos of someone else completing this, unless it somehow gets recommended to me. Next, an update on the completionist run. White 1 is VERY close to 100% completion. I need to max out entralink level and unlock every floor of unity tower. Can probably do both of these in a single afternoon, honestly. The only two things holding me back is... 1) I'm really lazy and am playing other games instead of just Pokemon. Having fun on a binge of FNaF fangames and the Touhou Project right now. 2) I want to shiny hunt every non locked legendary. I have Kyurem, the 3 dog things, and the 2 pseudo-roamers meaning only Landorus is left to hunt... but knowing my luck this will probably take 6 months to complete even while 3x hunting. Oh well.
JUNE 15th 2021 UPDATE: Remember when I said it would take 6 months to get Landorus even while 3x hunting? Fucking clairvoyance.
OCTOBER 27th 2021 UPDATE: Completionist run is finished, and I have an entire script ready for a video touring the save file and showing obscure bits of content. One issue though; I'm too lazy to edit it. I probably should've thought of that before writing an 8 page script. Expect the video at some point before the sun explodes.
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: I've been on a quest to get my white 1 copy to 100% completion. My definition of completion involves stupid things like picking up every item. Originally I thought this would have been a lot harder, because (and no hate towards chuggaa, we all make mistakes) but in his white LP he said that the hardest surveys were 100 people in 24 hours, however surveys are either timed, with only one result required, or head count without a time limit. This makes this rare candy feasible to get.
