I Shredded my HANDICAPPED Placard and Started RUNNING after 100+ Pounds Weight Loss! || SmartFunDIY Jennifer Priest 2020-09-11 | Yup, I put my Handicapped Placard in a paper shredded and shredded it!! Now, this is not my usual DIY video ... but this is part of how I DIY 'd my weight loss and health journey WITHOUT surgery.About 5 years ago or so TWO different doctors told me I needed a handicapped placard and they wrote up the paperwork. I bought into the idea hard core because I am a disabled Veteran and I was on a cane at the time. On a cane with a walker and on my way to using a wheelchair.Last year I started working with a prosperity coach for my business ... and the work we did helped me with my health and weight loss journey too. Now I can run up to a 5K and I walk for 1-2 hours a day most days.I stopped using my handicapped placard on September 18, 2019. I didn't want to be labeled as handicapped anymore. I struggled with stairs, struggled to walk ... but I kept at it.I share this story in hopes to inspire others who want to STOP living like life is over and instead LIVE ... really LIVE. If you could stop being handicapped, would you?Now, I know some people might be watching this thinking that people don't choose to be handicapped and they can't just unchoose it ... I hear you! I am not giving health advice ... I am not saying anyone else has to do anything different or making any judgement ... I'm sharing MY journey and what happened to me.
