How NOT to Install a Power Inverter BrainSplat Productions 2012-07-07 | Prior to embarking on the 2012 Peanut Butter & Smelly tour, we decided to install a power inverter in the van. We made one key mistake, which we were well aware of. During the installation, we lost the grommet for the hole we fed the power cables through and we never replaced it. Over time, the hole wore through one of the cables until it grounded out on the firewall. Unfortunately the actual event was not captured on camera.
Nebraska BrainSplat Productions 2012-07-06 | Day one of the 2012 Peanut Butter & Smelly tour. Draw O' Coward had just driven from Kewaunee Wisconsin to somewhere in Nebraska. We were on our way to Alliance Nebraska, when we almost ran out of gas sometime around 4 or 5 in the morning. Thankfully we were able to find a gas station with working pumps. At this point, the van had been running for around 14-16 hours and smelled awful. It was uncomfortable for me to rest my sock-covered feet on the floor of the backseat due to the heat from the exhaust. Also, the trailer was screwing with the van's transmission, which was making the cruise control freak out. If you take anything from this video, it should be that no one can ever understand what the hell Bongle is saying.

Bree BrainSplat Productions 2010-11-30 | A mostly ruined take from the upcoming Draw O' Coward music video for the song Edgar Allan Pwnage. As we weren't going to use any of the live audio from the video, vocalist Noah "All The Way Turd Up" Smith thought it would be funny to do an entire take of the song with all-inward vocals. This not only made it rather difficult to match things up in post, but it also caused guitarists Alexander the Great and Zachariah Bongle to laugh and mess up their parts. If the band had a bass player, he probably would have mucked up his part up too. Phil "Strawberry" Fields's immaculate drumming was not hindered, obviously. Magic Bullet Looks Test BrainSplat Productions 2010-04-07 | Nothing much new here. Just wanted to test out the software on my new computer. The original version took about a week to make due to crashes and sluggishness of my old computer. This took me less than an hour to recreate and it rendered in less than three minutes. Hallelujah. There are a ton of other features, but I mostly wanted to test out Magic Bullet Looks and these are the effects that caught my eye (mostly with default settings). As before, the song is Butt Sex With a T-Rex by Death by Texas.
Canon Vixia HF S10 Test Footage BrainSplat Productions 2010-02-07 | Experimental test footage with my new Canon Vixia HF S10 HD camcorder. Nothing exciting and I didnt clean it up at all in post. Im still editing on an old system and there are a few hiccups, so I might clean it up in a few weeks once I move to the new system. All of it was shot in 24p and the scenes that look soft and dull were shot in Cine mode, which I am growing to dislike. The better looking shots were done in TV mode at 1/48 for the most part.
