I used his new Pearl Pour Recipe for the base coat of: equal parts of DecoArt Satin Enamel in white and Artist Loft Soft Body white, then a big squirt of Liquitex P.M. Multiple Ring pours with the 5K Art Tribe & Cathleen with Coz Creations Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2025-05-14 | Thanks to Cathleen from COZ Creations for agreeing to be our guest artist for our FIRST collaboration of the new 5K Art Tribe. For those of us who have yet to reach 5K subscribers.For this pour Cathleen has requested a Triple Cup, Traveling Ring Pour with leaving negative space. I am fond of traveling ring pours but this wasn't as easy as it sounded... for me. The trick is not to use too much paint (which I did), consistency of the colors is thick leaving a mound on a mound, and then tilt very slowly. I have speeded up most of this during editing to save time. #100 Lets scrape it off and pour again. Open cup transforms to a wandering Straight Pour. Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2024-06-26 | Use up the drips and scraped up paints.....AND, All those left over paints can be used in lots of techniques. Some times, they turn into "mystery paints". This was supposed to be an open cup pour but then transformed into a wandering Straight pour with a surprise at the end. I'd like to list the paints used, but I really didn't know all of them. There were 3 TLP-pigments: one was Lakeside and the other Velvet, but unsure of the other. Well, I learned to start labeling my cups! It's exciting to have our guest artist this month.... Britt Clayton from @BrittClaytonDesign Britt has challenged us to use Pigments with any technique we want, with the exception of a "BLOOM". No blooming! So, this is my version of a Grenade Pour or sometimes called a Paint Bomb. I used TLP's (This Little Piggy) : Zeus, Sea Glass and Comet. (although, I think later in the video I mistakenly call it Glisten). The other acrylic paints are: Holbein Dioxizine Violet and Tri-Art Phthalo Turquoise light/Tri-Art Paynes Grey. #95 Pearl Pour Mash Up with a beautiful Dutch Pour. Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2024-03-01 | I truly was not going to post this video. I was unhappy with the results of the Pearl Pour part of this painting. However, I made the decision to go ahead and post it. I wanted y'all to see what I consider, a failed pour and get your thoughts. SO, I considered this one to be a fail because of the Color Choice, over use of that color and lack of peacock pearls that I normally get in my Pearl pours. A bit unusual, but... #94 Colorful Pearl Pour with Peacock Pearls Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2024-02-23 | Been a minute since I did one of these color pearl pours. Happy to see some Peacock Pearls showing up, too! Thanks for tuning in. Below are the recipes I used as pouring medium for the colors and the pour-over paints. These are based on recipes from Tara... Pieces of Tara. Be sure to check out her channel. Base Colors P.M.:3 parts U.S. Floetrol2 parts Behr deep base 7300 Satin Enamel1.5 parts Golden Color Gloss P.M.Add apx. 3 or 4 parts of this p.m.to 1 part paint. Lots of water to thin till a small divot appears holding the stick 1 inch away from paint. Pour Over Paint P.M.:50/50 or even parts of U.S. Floetrol to Golden GAC 800Apx 4 parts of this P.M. to 1 part paint. Add water till NO divot and NO mound while stick is 1 inch away from the paint. **Fluid paints use only a 1/2 part**I do not waste... I scrap up my drips into a cup and depending on the color, I may add white or another color to use as a future base paint or flow extender.

#85 Using Pour’age Posse for a Swipe Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-09-17 | Trying another swipe with a "kind of" Faux Pillow. Again, I mixed together some Pour’age Posse paints to create my “Seafoam Champagne Shimmer” to add as my Pillow. I mention all the colors as I use them. My thinning mixture is not all water. It is 90% Water/10% Floetrol and a splash of Golden Color Gloss PM. The Extreme Sheen really is the Pink Tourmaline as I originally mentioned. And, I'll be darned if at the end, showing the dried results, my camera flipped out of landscape mode! Ugh! My Spooky Studio strikes again!! Thanks for watching!
#84 Ghostly Dutch pour with those Amsterdam Pearl Paints! Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-09-14 | It's a Dutch pour using up the Amsterdam Pearl Paints I had mixed from playing around with those puddle pours. This one turned out much better than the first attempt. I think with a coat of varnish or resin, those colors will pop out even more. AND, It looks like I'll be retiring my Worlds Smallest Leaf Blower....sorry, your time has come little guy. (I apologize for the time stamp in the corner. So annoying. Stupid camera!). #81 Blooming in the Blue and Green Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-07-25 | Love the Blue and Greens together. However, My pillow paint was way too thin on this bloom. I've got allot to learn about the consistencies and how to blow them.... etc. etc. On the small tiles, I can use my breath, but can't seem to do it on the larger rounds or canvasses. The Pillow is Sherman Williams Color to Go in Black Swan. A deep smokey purple. I call out the Boom Gels and the TLP's as I use them. #79 WHAT?! A Boom Gel Open Cup? Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-07-24 | Sometimes, I picture crazy things with my paints. Well, this is an attempt at a Boom Gel Stain Open cup pour. Did not turn out exactly as I pictured in my mind. Although, I'm not sure what I expected to happen! The lacing and the cells expanded so much. However, I am not done with this and will continue to experiment with the Boom Gels. It's creativity gone wild. Anyway, It is what it is... Until it isn't! This one... Not so much. #78 Surprise! I got half a beautiful TLP Bloom Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-07-20 | Blooming on a little 8x8 inch cradled board. My pillow is Sherman Williams Color to Go in White. I mention all the colors as I lay them down on the pillow. I think it's time to toss away that hair dryer that I just can't seem to master for these blooms. #76 A TLP color shift Interference bloom with Snow White shimmering pillow Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-07-13 | My pillow color today is Pour’age Posse Snow White Iridescent Shimmer. I may have mentioned that this was on a 10x10 inch Wood board. It is actually an 8x8 inch board. The TLP Interference and colors shifts really are amazing! #75 Stunning Boom Gel flip cup Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-07-09 | So, I was encouraged by Betty at "Oak by Betina" to use my Boom Gel Stains. SO, I am trying out my Boom Gel Stains with a flip cup. Actually, a flip cup "Boom" Grenade! I am totally in love with this pour! I've never had good results with the gels since they seem to be so thick. But, once I thinned them out with a bit of "Jowa", it's all good! Let me know what you think in the comments. #73 TLP & Blooming with Pour’age Posse Juniper Shimmer pillow Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-07-01 | SO...Consistency and Color Choice really does matter! And, if at first it doesn't work out, don't give up! The colors seemed to disappear, so, I had to add more color (and thin them) to end up with this beautiful color shifting bloom. My pillow was Pour'age Posse Juniper Shimmer and wow, it really needed some bright colors in order to pop. I mention the colors used throughout the video. #72 Using Pourage Posse Champagne Shimmer Pillow, QNAG & TLP Violet Rain for a beautiful bloom Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-06-27 | First...Show & Tell: I was experimenting with Pour'age Posse Champagne Shimmer as my pillow paint on some tiles. And, I think they turned out really pretty. So then, I did a bloom with the same Pour'age Posse paint as my pillow on an 8 inch round. (and, sorry for referring to the pillow paint as my base paint... I even explain the difference in the video! ) Qnag and TLP Violet Rain stole the show! Let me know what you think.
#71 UNDER the SEA, a mermaid embellished PEARL pour. Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-06-24 | This is a pearl pour I did probably 2 years ago. This one never made it on a video to post. I didn't video or post much way back then. Sooo....This week, I decided to take it down off the wall of my studio and embellish it with a cute little Under the Sea Mermaid. #70 Boom Gel Swipe and blooms Gone Haywire! What a struggle! Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-06-21 | This experiment was done on a little 12 X 6 inch cradled board. I've had these Boom Gels on the shelf for a long time and thought I should use them finally. However, sometimes, things just don't work out! And this one... well, turned out rather yucky! #69 Dutch pour Burst with a bloom on fire! Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-06-11 | This Dutch Pour Burst is on a 12 x 12 inch wood board. I'm not crazy about the composition, however, I'm in love with the colors. I mention the different colors I used in the video along with the Mixed Media Girl Pre mixed Pouring Paints. And, I found them a bit too thick for this Dutch Pour technique. I've Done a few other of these Dutch Bursts and with better results. Normally with a stencil finish in the center. But, I'm really liking the Bloom in the center on this one. Thanks for watching!
#68 Having some fun with chaotic canvas dipping Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-06-08 | Here I have some small 9x12 inch canvases. I just wanted to play with some paint after not getting into my studio in over a month. AND, there are some lessons learned in this video, so, I thought I'd show the bad with the good. The first pour, not so good. (I apologize for not having both the canvases in the frame) However, the second one is so much better with having a base coat and pre painting the sides of the Dip Canvas. Notation: The Dipped canvas always seems to develop more of those beautiful cells than the one that has the poured paint on it. #64 Chaotic Dutch pour Pinwheel style Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-04-03 | Trying to attempt a Dutch Pour or Chaos in a pinwheel composition style on this one. Claire from Rainbow Acrylics, as I mentioned in this video, does some really cool and fun stuff with her paints and the blow dryer. She gave me the inspiration to try this out. #63 Spring time Pearl dump “fail”?? Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-03-24 | 14x18 wood pre-gesso cradled board. I was trying to get some Spring colors but, it just wouldn’t cooperate! Although disappointed with the results of this, I suppose I will show the dried & varnished results in my next video. AND ***I’m super excited to be going to PourCon 2023 in Las Vegas this August. There are some amazing artists scheduled. I managed to get into 7 incredible classes!***I certainly hope to see some of you guys there.
#62 Metallic Pearls Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-03-23 | Here is a little 12x16 inch previously poured over canvas. All the paints, with the exception of the Dump paint which is the Artis Loft Soft Body Black, are: DecoArt Dazzling Metallics and a couple extreme sheen. My paints are all mixed with my own p.m. (2 parts Floetrol to 1 part Golden Gloss P.M) about 3 parts of PM to 1 part paint and then water to thin them down. (No silicone is ever used in my paints.) Consistency of Colors should not leave a mound but disappear immediately. The dump paint has the tiniest mound so is just a smidge thicker than the pearl colors. #61 Wow! It’s a RED Pearl Explosion! Bonnie’s Acrylic Creations Art 2023-03-18 | So much Red! My goodness, What have I done!? This is what happens when you try to use up all your leftover paints in a "Pearl Dump" Pour. There was so much paint on this little 12 x 16 inch cradled wood panel. Well, the Reds ate it all up.
