When a Bank Scam Completely Falls Apart Police Ride-Alongs 2025-12-26 | An officer was flagged down by Walmart security on April 15, 2025 in reference to someone using a fraudulent check at the bank next door to the store. When the officer located the bank manager (who was on the phone calling 911), the manager pointed to a woman (Brandy) getting into a vehicle outside the bank. The manager said the woman had quickly left (even forgetting her ID) when the $700 check she had tried to cash for cleaning/maid service was rejected due to the account being closed a day earlier after a different woman (Chastity) had cashed a check from the same account. The manager had spoken to the account owner who said no one should be withdrawing funds. As the officer continued to speak with the bank manager, nearby officers were able to conduct an investigative stop on the vehicle that had just left. The suspect was located in the back seat alongside a small child. An adult male (Stephen) and female were in the front.The bank manager advised that Chastity had stopped the day before and succesfully cashed a $800 check for tree work before the account was closed. After the officer had obtained the manager's full report, she left to go to the investigative stop. While on her way there, the manager contacted her and said another person (Isaac) was currently in the drive-through trying to cash a $750 check from the same closed account.
