The concept album "Blood on the Highway (When Too Many Dreams Come True)" focuses on the autobiographical journey through the life of KEN HENSLEY. His ups and downs as a songwriter for URIAH HEEP and the "dark" decade of the 80s and his mental recovery in the 90s.

The song of the same name "Blood On The Highway" not only symbolises the dark side and illusions of the tough music business, but also represents those musicians whose musical success as a "rock star" has literally cost them their lives.

Ken himself said of his work: “With Blood On The Highway, I tell a very special story that is largely autobiographical, but also draws on the experiences of many colleagues and friends. It is the story of the seventies, as it happened from the point of view of a rock star at the time."

KEN HENSLEY died on 4th November 2020 at the age of 75.

Das Konzeptalbum „Blood on the Highway (When Too Many Dreams Come True)“ erzählt die autobiografische Geschichte von KEN HENSLEY. Es schildert seine Höhen und Tiefen als Songwriter für URIAH HEEP, die "dunklen" 80er-Jahre und seine mentale Genesung in den 90ern.

Der gleichnamige Song „Blood On The Highway“ symbolisiert nicht nur die Schattenseiten und Illusionen des harten Musikgeschäfts, sondern steht auch für jene Musiker, deren Erfolg als "Rockstar" sie buchstäblich das Leben kostete.

Ken selbst sagte über sein Werk: „Mit Blood On The Highway erzähle ich eine ganz besondere Geschichte, die größtenteils autobiografisch ist, aber auch die Erfahrungen vieler Kollegen und Freunde einbezieht. Es ist die Geschichte der Siebzigerjahre, aus der Perspektive eines damaligen Rockstars.“

KEN HENSLEY starb am 04.11.2020 im Alter von 75 Jahren.
