Microtonal prophet-5 patch Polydata 2025-08-22 | The original prophet-5 rev 3 firmware had a hidden “scale mode” (originally added for Terry Riley) which allowed you to get microtonal and create any custom tuning. The middle row of 12 knobs would become fine tune knobs for the 12 notes of the chromatic scale. Here I’m tuned to just-intonation which is making this beautiful otherworldly sound.

I was more than pleasantly surprised with the quality and range of sounds I could get from the microKORG. Cherry Audio Atomika - Sound Bank 79 Polydata 2024-10-30 | Drawing inspiration from the early days of analog synthesis, Sound Bank '79 for the excellent Atomika plug-in by Cherry Audio finds its inspiration in synthesizer music found in documentaries and library music from the late 70’s and early 80’s.A bank comprising 35 patches for instant inspiration. The goal was to squeeze as much vintage analog juice out of this plug-in as possible, primarily working within the constraints of the original Formanta Polivoks synthesizer. I wasn't expecting anything very different from this plug-in, but I found it really has a unique tone and character, and I love the sounds I was able to make for it.Sound Bank '79 is a series of vintage tones for different synths and plug-ins, so check out the many other releases.
