Stock vs BHAF sound comparison - 12 Valve Cummins Levi Otts 2021-12-16 | 1995 6bt Cummins with 3" straight pipe and no silencer ring.Replaced stock air filter with bigger NAPA 6637 air filter. My filter minder on my new stock air filter element was showing a vacuum being pulled, even driving it easy, so I decided to do the bigger filter. People say you hear the turbo more, but I couldn't find a good back to back comparison.Turns out it is a deeper, more "full" noise, but nothing significant. I don't necessarily hear the turbo more but after driving it maybe I'll hear a difference.Edit: Now that I've driven it, I definitely hear the high pitch turbine sound starting at 10 lbs of boost. It gets louder with more boost and sounds very nice!
12 Valve Cummins Hauling A Project Home Levi Otts 2021-11-24 | First up is a 34 degree cold start. Then a quick clip pulling the project truck back home. Last is a startup of the powerstroke after cutting the exhaust pipe real quick and throwing a 5" pipe on for fun1995 Dodge 3500 dump bed- Cummins 6bt p-pump- no fuel plate, maxxed AFC, boost elbow, 3k governor springs- nv4500 with the 3rd gear synchro shot- 3.50 gears- 3" straight pipe1994.5 Ford F350 extended cab- 7.3 Powerstroke- ZF5 and 4.10 gears- I'll be going through it mechanically to get it ready as a daily driver, then I'll build a flatbed for it (I gave $1,500 for it so it was an excellent deal!)The Dodge scales at 7,500 lbs and I'm guessing the Ford is the same, so with the Belshe equipment trailer I'm guessing a gross of 17-18k. I pulled from a stoplight straight up a hill and couldn't use over half pedal without slipping the stock clutch. It needs a new clutch to pull better! Enjoy the sound though, it's a lot of fun
