Sentry Wars Test 2 - The Sentry Gun Tower with @Avpunknown - Aliens vs Predator 2 Primal Hunt KingKenny 2023-06-11 | This was another test run of a new Primal Hunt server, hosted by @Avpunknown called "Sentry Wars". The sentry gun limit was boosted to 127 sentry guns. At 128 sentry guns, the models begin to glitch out, including the players' weapons disappearing.Once I realized that the sentry guns stacked on top of each other, I decided to build a massive tower of sentry guns. Then @Avpunknown and I decided to run/fall in front of it for science and laughs.My findings are that the sentry guns shoot far and up well. However, they don't shoot down well at all. The fall speed of the player can surpass the lock-on timing of the sentry guns too. Primal Hunt Star Wars Standoff - AvP2 Custom Map (Complete Playthrough) KingKenny 2021-09-12 | Aliens vs Predator 2 single player custom map titled "Primal Hunt Star Wars Standoff".Map author: DooomGuyyoutube.com/user/Stung5twitter.com/Stung_5moddb.com/members/doomguyavpMap review:When I was making Star Wars Mod v2.0 - Special Edition for Aliens vs Predator 2 Primal Hunt, I reached out to DooomGuy and asked him if he would like to contribute a map to the mod and he graciously agreed. The guidelines were, it had to be Star Wars related and fit in the Star Wars universe; the rest was up to him. He winded up porting a section of the predalien campaign map and making it his own.This is a Primal Hunt exclusive map. The player spawns as a stormtrooper with two stormtrooper allies. These allies can be "activated" to change their guns that they carry. The player is immediately exposed to a full armory of weapons, sentry guns and a mounted turret. The player must be quick to arrange the sentry guns before the aliens begin their assault as they entire through the shielded off corridors. There is additional backstory onto why the player is in this situation via the memo on the floor. If the player survives long enough with the aliens, the player will then encounter a surprise guest.This map is a hybrid style map. It's one part skirmish in that the player can fight aliens infinitely. It also has some elements of tower defense with strategically placing the sentry guns that are spawned on the map from start. Then the map also includes an objective to complete the map.This map can be hard if sentry guns are placed bad. The allies can easily die from aliens or the player's crossfire. I show in my video a few ways to keep them alive longer. I should note that there are many easter eggs in this map. I won't spoil them here, but you may come across them in the map itself.I admittedly have a bias grading this map as it is included my mod and I helped contribute some ideas to it. Regardless of that, I love this map. It's tons of fun to play on gameplay alone. Watching the stormtroopers jump around is hysterical. There are also numerous tactics the player can use to win and all the extra easter eggs are the cherry on top.I highly recommend the map.Note: I'm using my Blood n' Guts Mod v1.1 for the extra gore. Star Wars Mod v2.0 - Special Edition for Aliens vs Predator 2: Primal Hunt - Full Trailer KingKenny 2021-09-12 | Star Wars Mod v2.0 is a total conversion mod for Aliens vs Predator 2 Primal Hunt. It is easily the biggest mod for Primal Hunt (as of time of release) in that in changes nearly 5,800 files and overhauls nearly the entire look and feel of the game.The mod began as a sound and music pack, but I kept building upon it until it became the massive total conversion that it is now. The primary theme for the mod is the original trilogy and expanded universe (pre-Disney).This mod is completely client side as there are no gameplay changes at all. This is an intentional design choice as it was made to work on any multiplayer server that isn't blocking skins, which should be 99% of them. The only exception to this rule are the multiplayer custom maps, as all players will need the maps in order to play them. These maps are already included in UMP3 for those who have it already.Furthermore, this mod will overhaul the game in both single player and multiplayer. The most dramatic change that players will immediately notice is that everything looks and sounds different. While many players will use this mod in multiplayer, I recommend replaying the single player campaigns as well for a new experience. It increases the size of all the blood splats, blood droplets, gibs/guts/chunks of meat and bone. Essentially all the gore is ramped up. However, the gore level isn't too unrealistic and it's not not too tame either. The gore level is at a nice sweet spot where you will feel like there is more carnage and mayhem, without completely obstructing your screen with blood.v1.1 improves the blood special effects (FX) over v1.0 and adds improved blood on the predalien textures (where the limbs cut off).
