The conclusion of one of my favorite episodes. Very powerful message.

This was the conclusion to a time travel episode showcasing Mark Twain, and the soul sucking aliens. I was a bit disappointed with the production of the episode, a lot seemed to be just hurried and rushed. Picard's acting troupe was hilariously characteristic of the Captain.
I enjoyed seeing the crotchety portrayal of Sam Clemens in space, and the brief wisdom he shares in these brief discussions. He maintains his cynicism, but is also able to grow as a person. I loved that "Woo!" he makes near the end.
"I'm glad I had a chance to thank you." "For what sir?" "Ahh, for starting me out on the greatest adventure a man's ever had! WOO!! Ha! And for helping a bitter old man to open his eyes, and see that the future, turned out pretty well, after all."Star Trek TNG - Times Arrow, Part I - Mark TwainHarryTipperTV2021-06-18 | I do not claim ownership to Star Trek or any of its properties to the rightful owner. Interesting speech from a portrayal of Mark Twain, Mr. Samuel Clemens, discussing and debasing mankind's place within the greater cosmos of things. I found it particularly peculiar that there was a dismissive tone to his "character assassination", that he was already decided upon his idea of the nature of things. The important thing that seems to be disregarded is, the ever present longing and searching and seeking for the Truth. This quest may take the individual on quite an extensive and harrowing journey through many deep mountains and dark recesses, as there are many roads that can lead one astray, but the compass always points back to that one road in which there is a narrow gate to enter into.
I really enjoyed the actor's performance of Mark Twain. Especially the part when he lays out that, 'perhaps it took 15 million years for the oyster to get it right', and then he unabashedly chokes it down his throat with utter contempt and disgust. To me, that's like, "Wow, 15 million years and you just have no regard for that achievement". I really appreciated the retorts of Guinan, suggesting that a diamond amongst diamonds, is still just that, a precious diamond that still retains it's own light, and that despite being "a single one amongst millions", it remains a precious jewel and not simply just a "trivial creation". It's not that one diamond, one race is more or less precious than the others, each diamond is worth the same, but we can have a diamond that is highly favored.Star Trek TNG - Times Arrow, Part I - Data, the nature of time, and his deathHarryTipperTV2021-06-18 | I do not claim ownership to Star Trek or any of its properties to the rightful owner. Data discovers an artifact of his own head, processing and identifying the events of time as they pass along, what was is, and will be. Geordi, as any human might react to the knowledge of one's death seems a little uncomfortable, however for Data this is something to celebrate, as he now has a perceived premonition of his mortality (this is from my perspective and level of consciousness, once I watch Part Two this may change with new information.) thus taking him one step closer to his goal of being human. We are all appointed a time to die, to have that knowledge would be very comforting and reassuring. Picard speaks in the episode of cheating fate, or man's endeavor to at least try, and this is the realm of miracles. I'm super excited to see how this story concludes in Part Two. "Full Circle", as Guinan prolifically ponders in amazement, foreshadowing yet again the loop paradigm of time.
Amazing episode. Part One nicely sets up the prologue for what I'm expecting to be an even greater Part Two. I have been fascinated with this concept of "time" as it has been presented to me throughout many mediums, many of which are mostly movies. Obviously, Back to the Future, but there's many more: Steins;gate, Timesplitters, Transformers: Beast Wars, The Penitent Man, Chrono Trigger, Predestination, X-Men: Age of Apocalypse, The Terminator (which is the same movie as The Matrix, but that's for another discussion, for now just meditate and chew on that suggestion), The Matrix Reloaded, Dino Crisis, Timeline, Gunbuster, Infinity War (which is absolutely blasphemous, but again, that's for another discussion), Looper, Tenet, Nikola Tesla, The Butterfly Effect, Somewhere in Time, The Invisibles, not to mention the Nazis, The Time Traveler's Wife, Time is An Illusion, TMNT IV: Turtles in Time, Albert Einstein, What Dreams May Come, conspiracy theories regarding the time prison of three dimensional space here on plan"et" Earth and the harvesting of souls (a theme that seemed to be foreshadowed at the conclusion of this episode), 12 Monkeys, Frequency, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Suzumiya Haruhi: Endless 8, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Timesplitters 3 (highly recommended), and of course H.G. Wells the grand daddy of it all, and countless others I'm sure that escape my current RAM data storage. It's all just so thrillingly exciting!!
As you should clearly see as I have thoroughly illustrated that this is a topic that I am deeply fascinated by and intrigued with, perhaps because I am personally involved in such an endeavor and I am remembering it in a residual fashion as the feedback makes it's way from the future into the past, my present. Because all has happened all at once, and we are simply sorting it out day by perceived day.
This is what makes Star Trek TNG such a greatly entertaining show. There's so many topics, a broad spectrum of themes, basically something for everyone. Action, Romance, Suspense, Horror, Comedy, it's all there, and the cast of characters allows for someone to find at least one, or all of the characters to be likable.
Thanks for reading through this lengthy account. Picard encounters and endures a conversation with the metamorph.
One of the more honorable tests of Picard's integrity and loyalty to duty. She can feel his thoughts and emotions and is trying her best to please him, she knows of nothing else and nothing else matters to her, her guises changing from person to person. Picard is quite the gentleman adventurer however, and resists these charms. In the world of relationship theory, this should raise a huge flag to get as far away as fast as possible.
Although, as she said it herself, she is a mutunt of sorts, and even that sly dog Riker wiped his mouth off after kissing or rather, having been kissed by Kamala. Is his sudden declaration to be in Holodeck 4 related to this incidence? I think it is; I wonder what he went there to do.
"When a metamorph finds you interesting, do not take it lightly."
"Oh I'm not taking it lightly. I'm just trying, to be as dull as possible."
I'm sure Q would have some comment confirming that Picard doesn't have to try very hard to do that.Star Trek TNG - The Perfect Mate - Picard TriggeredHarryTipperTV2021-05-28 | I do not claim ownership to Star Trek or any of its properties to the rightful owner. Picard throws a hissy fit as he is triggered by Dr. Crusher over the matters of the newly emerged metamorph. It is always entertaining to watch the Captain lose his shit and crumble. Stress eating perhaps? "Indeed."
I can hear the lines, "Alright! Fine! Good! Let's throw the Prime Directive to the winds!" being screamed in the delivery style of Chris Farley.
And the burn at the end, "Well, it is your ship maybe there are a few things you should find out about."
As one watches Star Trek TNG it becomes evident that there are a few patterns as to what kind of episode each one will be. This episode just happened to be one of "those" episodes although to a lesser degree than say the adventure with the Pakleds.Star Trek TNG - Disaster - Picards Children SongHarryTipperTV2021-03-12 | I do not claim ownership to Star Trek or any of its properties to the rightful owner. I enjoyed this little conversation between Dr. Crusher and Deanna Troi. I feel like it's very relatable to anyone having gone through, or going through such an experience. I wanted to share these clips from the episode Remember Me of Star Trek TNG. The being known only to the crew as the Traveler explains some concepts of wisdom. Thoughts become reality. Be mindful of your thoughts. Whatever comes out from your mouth is from within your heart; what is put into the mouth matters not. The vortex. Tony Robbins, Abraham Hicks, and countless others who understand this concept, not to mention the nefarious powers who misuse it to their own personal gain. It is but a tool, the user defines it's morality, because it inherently comes from wherein.
Overall a great episode if you get into this whole quantum reality bubble existence consciousness soul physical matter light thoughts reality stuff.
