Rc Battlebots. The Home Version. R/C 101 2017-04-20 | The Battlebots RC Home version was created through the cooperation of Hexbug/innovation first, CBS, and a few of the Battlebots robot designers who worked with the show. Originally there wear going to be 3 RC Battlebots.If you look at the picture from the battebots website at 01:05 you can see RC versions of Witchdoctor, Tombstone, and Bronco clearly shown.Witchdoctor and tombstone can be purchased however I have not found the RC Bronco version for sale as of 4/20/2017. It might have just been a prototype.You can see 2 Broncos, one in the package and one in the arena, you can also see a set of orange geometrically shaped balls that didn't come with the set. Each robot is controlled with a tiny infrared remote control.You can make the robots move forward, backwards, and spin.You can also push a button that will turn the robots main weapon on and off.Each robot has 3 body panels that can be knocked off so that you can keep score, and see inside the robots when they get "damaged".The robots use AAA batteries and the controllers use button cell batteries. Battery life is really good.It took a while to piece together this video, all the different robot fights, camera shots, sound effects, and editing were difficult to put together with a 7 year old laptop. The set was fun to build and play with and my daughter and wife wear very nice to control the robots in the final battle. Flysky Failsafe Not Working...Answer...Receiver? R/C 101 2017-03-25 | If you are having trouble with fail-safe on your drone this video might help. I think the problem is somewhere within the receivers programming.When you turn off your transmitter the flight controller must receive a pulse within a specific range from the receiver before it can go into fail safe mode and land. If you turn off your transmitter and the receiver keeps sending out the last signal it received the flight controller will never go into fail safe. I think that is what is happening in this situation, the receiver notices that the transmitter turns off but instead of changing the signal it keeps sending the last signal it received. It is waiting for something before it can go to the next command. Some all in one flight controller / receivers have shown this issue.Some stand alone receivers show this issue.The flysky FSA8S receiver does not have this problem.The problem may be with the flight controllers configuration but in this video I show that a receiver with a proven working fail safe will make fail safe work in an aircraft like the aurora that has this problem.
Was this drone prgramed to fail and fly away R/C 101 2017-03-21 | I know I didn't show it in the video, it was 2:30 in the morning and I just put the baby back down, but I actually do have it set to drop on the fail safe tab in advanced mode. Stage 2 settings failsafe is turned on Kill switch is turned off guard time is set at 10 (1 second) failsafe throttle low delay is set at 100 The box for drop is checked Channel feedback settings for pitch roll throttle and yaw are set to auto, so they should default to center or lowest position. Aux 1 through 8 are set to hold pulse range is valid, set at a low of 855 and a high of 2115A number of users have reported issues with eachine aircraft flying away and getting lost. The issue seams to be with the flysky versions of the aircraft, I've heard reports of the wizard x220, the aurora, and even the qx90 c flying off when the signal is lost.In this video we quickly show what is happening and how dangerous it is without a working fail safe.

Eachine Chasser 88 Nano Racing Drone Flight Test: Fast FPV Flight Review R/C 101 2017-01-27 | In this video we take a closer look at the brand new Chaser88 from Eachine. This aircraft brings brushless racing to the new class of racers under 100mm. This aircraft can really perform and is worth adding to your collection.I replaced the stock camera with an Eachine MC01 and I am getting much better video. The image is cleaner and the static issue I was having is gone. The MC01 camera was easy to install and it works great, I might try to install the MC02 camera, but I'll need to install a booster module first. The range I got while using the FSA8S receiver was great. The battery life was a little short, but charge times are quick. Durability is amazing, this aircraft is designed to crash hard and keep going. Over 10 years in this business I've flown a few and they have some real advantages like stability, fast precise turning, and safety. However they have some real disadvantages as well. Like they need a lot more power to give the same amount of thrust as a propeller withut a duct. Technically ducted fans are more efficient, but if you want the same amount of lift from a ducted fan that a propeller is going to give you, well than you need a lot more power. Eachine 130 Racer Flight Test and 720p Run-cam Test R/C 101 2016-12-07 | It was a little cold and rainy the last few days but we got a few minutes without rain to test the amazing little Eachine 130 racer.This brushless racer comes ready to fly for just over $200 bcks and it flies like a dream. This is the racer you're looking for, it's small enough to fly through tight gates, fast enough to compete, and easy to modify. The included 720p runcame is a nice way to record your on board flight video but the quality of the FPV camera is actually pretty good. In fact I think i will take off the runcam to save weight and power and just stick with recording the video stream with a monitor. The static from the camera was minimal and the range was great.This ready to fly version uses the same nano 6 channel receiver that is used in the QX series of brushed racers. The ready to fly version comes with a flysky compatible x range receiver. The bind and fly version is not available yet however you can order a frysky or dsmx/dsm2 compatible nano receiver from banggood and install it in the racer without a problem. It's a good racer at a good price and worth checking out.
Binding, mapping, arming, Spectrum DX6i tramsnitter to Nano JJpro T1 Racing drone R/C 101 2016-12-04 | It took but I was able to get a spectrum dx6i transmitter on loan to test the new JJpro T1 nano racer.Stay tuned for the complete review and flight video.Here are some simple binding and mapping instructions.Binding - first turn on the aircraft and wait 10 seconds for the flight controller/receiver to go into bind mode. Turn on your spectrum dx6i transmitter while holding the trainer switch up to get it to bind to the aircraft, you should notice the lights on the flight controller change as soon as it binds. You will know the aircraft and transmitter are bound if you turn the transmitter on and off and you see the lights on the flight controller turn on and off as it connects and disconnects.Once the aircraft is bound, connect to clean flight and check to make sure the throttle rudder pitch and roll are all responding correctly. I had to go into the command line interface and type"map AETR1234" without quotes, and hit enter and then type save and hit enter to get the channels mapped properly.Once the channels wear mapped properly I had to set the arm disarm switch, I set it to aux channel 1. If you flip the switch and the light turns green your good to go, if it stays greyed out you need to check the throttle range and make sure the range for the arm disarm mode switch falls within the throttle range. My throttle range was something like 1200 to 1870 but when I flipped the switch the value was above 1870 so it wouldn't recognize. Number five…ControlKamigami robots posses the essence of what it means to be controlled. By that I mean they are very precise and very versatile in almost any environment. The way these robots move is the same way insects move. They walk using a tripod gate meaning that 3 legs are always on the ground at any time. The fact that they can walk means that they can move across almost any surface, smooth or rough, uneven or level; they can even walk across sand, rocks, and piles of debris. No matter where you are, you can play with your Kamigami.Number four…Speed The range of speeds that these robots posses is amazing. At full speed they can rocket across the floor faster then you would ever expect, and at slow speeds you can make them walk all over your desk with extreme precision. It’s difficult to appreciate the level of control and the range of speeds these robots posses without actually trying one out for yourself.As someone who’s tested hundreds of RC vehicles I can say, it’s very difficult to find anything that can actually be controlled on a surface like a bed.However with a Kamigami robot I can actually drive it on my bed so on days when I’m really sick I can actually have my little robot friend in bed with me.Number 3…durabilityIn the movies robots are almost invincible and very hard to destroy… but in the real world robots are usually very fragile and easy to break.However Kamigami robots aren’t like your average robot, I have never seen any robot as durable as a Kamigami. The durability test went something like this; I gave the robot to a 4 year old child and let her run around the playground with it. The robot slid down the slides, ran through the dirt, was kicked flipped and dropped by countless kids, and it didn’t get a scratch.It was amazing to watch, and the kids loved it, a little robot running around the playground with them and going down the slides with them was awesome.Number 2…Creativity and InspirationPlaying with this robot inspires me, I can see the ingenuity and creativity behind every aspect of it and it is truly an inspirational product, video doesn’t do it justice. Using 2 pieces of plastic with a piece of cloth sandwiched in the middle for hinges is inspired. The simplicity of using 2 motors for something as complex as a walk cycle is inspirational because it works so amazingly well over such a wide range of speeds and conditions. The control interface and the ability to program games and lifelike behavior is beyond amazing. I’ve tested a lot of apps that allow you to control and program robots and toys with your phone but most of them or just afterthoughts. The Kamigami app is the best programmed app for any toy that I have ever tested. The interface for programming games and other behaviors is amazing. It’s easy to use; it’s very robust with a whole bunch of options, and it’s fun to use as well. I love programming lifelike behaviors and games with it because it is so simple and fun and literally anyone can do it. It’s a great way to learn simple programming because everything is so well thought out and easy and intuitive to use.Number 1…KnowledgeKnowledge is power and building and playing with a Kamigami will gave you knowledge. You will learn without knowing you’re learning, you will get inspired without even trying, you’ll have fun, you’ll enjoy the experience, and you’ll want to share it with others.I can’t begin to convey the fun of controlling a Kamigami robot, the experience is beyond what I expected, and the sensors and the ability to make the robots talk to each other makes them so much more interactive then most toys. When the people at Kamigami.com asked us to review these little robots I was a little skeptical at first, I kept my expectations low but I was pleasantly surprised with how much fun these little robots are.If you’re looking for the perfect gift this holiday season or if you want a good way to inspire a class of children to learn about robotics you should absolutely buy a Kamigami robot.
