He mentioned how he loved the old Hammer horror films of his youth. The music intrigued him as it was very dark, often using the tritone , often referred to as "the Devil`s interval". He incorporated this idea into many of the tunes that he wrote for the band.This is my experimental composition on that particular theme.

Pub Singer (Theme tune) Haycroft2 2021-11-20 | About 15 years ago I was installing some plant and machinery in a local factory . A guy who worked there asked me if I could repair his Boss Sequencer. He used it for his backing tracks as a Pub singer. He performed soul classics like motown and stuff. He said he knew I was also a musician as he had seen me playing bass in a local music production.He asked if I could write him a theme tune to play as he came on stage.I said I have never used a sequencer before and don`t know much about soul music, but I like a challenge . The repair took half an hour so that was the easy part . luckily it was compatible wit my midi keyboard. So after reading the instruction manual I gradually put together a chord progression and programmed it into the sequencer . I played the melody over the top on my keys in real time. I did it in one take a miracle for me.LOL. #adele,#tribute

I lost touch with him after he left town , and moved to Leeds many years ago. There he founded Morley folk club, which is still thriving today.Sadly, Keith passed away early last year , and so I dedicate this tune to his memory. The guitar part was quite difficult as it uses five of the chords in the key of G instead of the usual three. I do not play the fiddle on this tune . It is a keyboard plugin , but very close.
