At 3400 acres, this is big water, and has a big fishery to match. It is located in Oneida county, in northern Wisconsin. You'll find muskies up to 50 inches long here. This lake is loaded with deep trenches, weed beds, rocks, and sand. It is a structure fisherman's dream! Fishing Lake Edward, MN | Brainerd Lakes Area Go Midwest Fishing 2023-01-14 | Lake Edward is located in Crow Wing County of Minnesota. Its Just east of Gull Lake In the Brainerd Area. We randomly picked this lake because it looked like a small lake that is easy to fish. It has great weed lines and looked like it would hold a lot of fish. It is Late September, so we didn't find many fish in the weed lines. Instead they all seemed to be out in the deeper water near the center of the lake. We ended up catching a bunch of small bluegills, a bass and a northern. I think this would be an excellent lake to try in the springtime. I gave Gull Lake a Second Chance (Brainerd Lakes Area) Go Midwest Fishing 2022-11-19 | I was at Gull lake the previous January, when the snow and ice were thick. The shear amount of snow limited where we could fish, so I wanted to come back in the summer months to try it again. Gull lake is located in Cass county, MN in the Brainerd Lakes Area. It is over 10,000 acres in size and has a max depth of 80 feet. It it listed as one of Minnesota's best lakes in the Minnesota Sportsman Guide Book. See it here: amzn.to/3XeWFz5In my experience, it seems like no matter where you fish, you can catch small perch about 5 inches long. I also caught some monster sized rock bass! I wasn't expecting that. Most people seem to fish walleye here. I did catch a couple, but I thought I would see more.
