Welcome to our family village home in the northern part of Azerbaijan! On our channel, we share true country lifestyle moments, outdoor village cooking videos, and traditional family recipes prepared right here in our beautiful yard.
Today was a productive and warm autumn day in the village. Together with my mom, we harvested fresh feijoa fruits from our garden and decided to turn them into three amazing homemade treats: Feijoa jam, feijoa with sugar, and feijoa compote. Each recipe was made using natural, organic ingredients from our village land. No factory flavors, no chemicals — 100% homemade jam made with love and village traditions.
We started early in the morning. The fire was crackling in our outdoor cooking space while the chickens and ducks were walking around the yard, making the atmosphere even more cozy. My mom prepared the ingredients while I recorded every step for you. First, we cooked the traditional feijoa jam recipe slowly to preserve the aroma. The jam bubbled beautifully, filling the air with sweet tropical fragrance. Then we made fresh feijoa mashed with sugar — a vitamin-rich classic village dessert. After that, we boiled the feijoa pieces into a refreshing homemade feijoa compote drink, perfect for winter storage.
You can almost hear the village sounds — the stream, the animals, the leaves blowing — pure village life ASMR vibes combined with traditional cooking content. We cooked outside, breathing mountain air, following old jam-making techniques passed from generation to generation. It was not just cooking jam; it was preserving memories.
This video is perfect for anyone who loves country lifestyle vlogs, garden-to-table recipes, organic homemade jam recipes, simple rural food, traditional Azerbaijani village cooking, family cooking videos, and peaceful cooking moments captured in real village surroundings.

In today’s video, I’m spending a peaceful day with my mom and grandma, cooking something truly special — Tandoori Bread and a Saj dish with chicken and vegetables 🍗🍅🥬.
This video is a warm glimpse into our simple country lifestyle, where every moment is connected to nature, tradition, and family. The sound of the wind, the smell of firewood, and the taste of food cooked over natural fire make this day unforgettable.
In our small village in northern Azerbaijan, life moves at a calm pace. Mornings start early with the sunrise over the green hills 🌄. Birds sing, cows graze, and smoke rises slowly from our outdoor clay tandoor oven. These moments are what I love most about village life — no rush, no noise, just peace and nature around.
Today, my grandmother prepared the dough early in the morning. She has been making tandoori bread (təndir çörəyi) all her life. Her hands move with experience and love. Watching her shape each bread is like watching art being made. In our family, bread is not just food — it’s tradition, a sign of home and togetherness.
Next to her, my mother was preparing vegetables and marinated chicken for the Saj dish, one of the most loved Azerbaijani traditional meals. Saj is a flat iron pan used to cook food over open fire 🔥. We use fresh garden vegetables — tomatoes, peppers, onions, and eggplant — along with local herbs. The chicken is marinated with salt, pepper, paprika, and village butter.
Cooking outdoors is something very special. The smell of firewood, the crackling of the flames, and the sound of sizzling chicken on the saj create a peaceful and cozy atmosphere. This is what makes country cooking so unique — everything is real, natural, and full of flavor.
While the bread baked in the tandoor, we gathered around the fire. My grandma shared old stories from her youth — how in her time, every house had a tandoor, and people used to bake for the whole neighborhood. These village traditions connect generations. I feel proud that we’re keeping them alive and sharing them with the world through our YouTube channel.
If you love watching traditional food making, village cooking, and family lifestyle videos, this video will bring you joy. We made sure to show every step of the process — from kneading the dough to lighting the tandoor and preparing the saj dish over the fire.
When the Tandoori Bread came out of the oven, it was golden and crispy on the outside, soft and warm inside. We spread fresh butter on top, and the smell filled the whole yard. Then, we served it with Saj Chicken and Vegetables, freshly cooked over the fire. The combination was perfect — soft bread, juicy chicken, and smoky vegetables.
In our Azerbaijani village kitchen, food is not only about eating — it’s about spending time together. We cook slowly, talk, laugh, and enjoy the moment. Life here is simple but full of meaning. Every ingredient comes from the land around us — homemade butter, organic vegetables, and fresh herbs from the garden.
🌿 Country life teaches us to appreciate small things — the warmth of the fire, the taste of fresh bread, the love of family.
After lunch, we sat under the big walnut tree, drank black tea, and talked about the coming winter. In the north of Azerbaijan, winters can be cold, so we prepare early — storing wood, drying fruits, and making pickles. This video shows not only cooking but also the feeling of preparing for a peaceful village season.
🎥 My goal with this channel is to share the real rural life of Azerbaijan, the hardworking people, the simple happiness, and the beauty of homemade food. Every video is made with heart and honesty — no studio lights, no scripts, just real village life.
If you enjoy watching traditional tandoor cooking, outdoor food videos, or family life in the countryside, make sure to watch this video till the end. You’ll see how we bake Azerbaijani tandoori bread, cook a delicious Saj chicken dish, and spend a lovely day in our village yard with my mom and grandma.

In today’s video, I’m excited to show you how my mom and I prepared cranberry jam and cranberry compote for winter. This is a very special moment for us because every year, as the cold months approach, families in the village begin to preserve natural food for the long winter.
Life in the village is not just about simplicity—it’s about connecting with nature, respecting traditions, and enjoying homemade meals prepared with love. When you live far from the city, you don’t always have access to shops or supermarkets, so preparing and storing food becomes an important part of daily life. That’s why making jam, compote, pickles, and other winter foods is such a deeply rooted tradition in Azerbaijani countryside families.
In today’s video, you’ll see how we picked fresh cranberries, washed them carefully, and prepared them step by step. Cranberries are a natural gift, rich in vitamins and antioxidants, making them one of the healthiest fruits to preserve for winter. In the village, people believe that cranberry jam is not only delicious but also helps with cold and flu during the freezing months.
🍯 The Process of Making Cranberry Jam
We started by selecting the ripest and freshest cranberries. Then, together with my mom, we carefully sorted them, removing leaves or any damaged berries. Next, we washed them several times in cold spring water. This is important in the village because we don’t use chemical preservatives—everything is 100% natural.
After cleaning, we put the cranberries in a large pot, added sugar, and started slowly cooking them over a traditional wood fire stove. The aroma that fills the yard while cooking is unforgettable—it combines the sweet smell of sugar melting with the natural sourness of cranberries. While stirring, my mom told me how she learned these recipes from her own mother, continuing a tradition passed down for generations.
The jam slowly thickens, turning into a deep red color, shining beautifully in the sunlight. Once it reached the perfect consistency, we poured it into sterilized glass jars. These jars will stay safely stored until winter, ready to open on snowy days with tea, bread, or pastries.
🍹 The Process of Making Cranberry Compote
The second part of our video shows how we made cranberry compote. Compote is a traditional drink that is common in Azerbaijani and many other rural families. It’s refreshing in the summer and comforting in the winter. The process is similar to jam, but instead of cooking too long, we boil the cranberries with water and sugar to create a sweet, fruity drink. After boiling, we seal the compote in large glass bottles. These bottles will be opened during family dinners, celebrations, or when guests visit us in the cold months.
🌿 Why We Love Village Life
Living in the countryside is not always easy, but it is always rewarding. When you prepare food with your own hands, collect berries from the forest, and cook with your family, the taste becomes something you can never find in stores. My mom and I always say that village food is made with love and patience.
This video is not just about cooking cranberry jam and compote—it’s about showing you the village lifestyle in Azerbaijan, where families gather, cook together, and enjoy simple but meaningful traditions. Every jar of jam is more than food; it’s a memory, a story, and a piece of our heritage.

This dish is not only full of flavor but also carries the warmth of family gatherings, the aroma of open fire cooking, and the joy of living in harmony with nature.
In our village, cooking is more than just making food – it’s a cultural celebration. The day begins early, with the sound of roosters, the scent of fresh bread, and the cool mountain breeze. As the sun slowly rises over the green hills of the north, families gather in the yard to prepare their daily meals. For us, today’s highlight was mangal cooking – a style of grilling that brings out the natural sweetness and smoky depth of vegetables. 🍅🔥
We started by collecting the freshest vegetables from our village garden – bright red tomatoes, shiny purple eggplants, crisp green peppers, and sweet onions. In the countryside, nothing beats the taste of vegetables that have been grown with care, without chemicals, and picked just minutes before cooking. My aunt, with her years of experience, guided me in preparing each ingredient the traditional way – no rush, no shortcuts, just pure love and patience.
The mangal salad recipe we follow has been in our family for generations. It begins with roasting the vegetables over glowing charcoal until their skins are charred and the inside is tender and smoky. This is the magic of country cooking – the fire not only cooks but transforms the flavors, giving them that unforgettable taste you simply can’t get from a kitchen stove. As the vegetables roasted, the air was filled with an irresistible aroma that instantly made us hungry.
Life in the Azerbaijani village teaches you to appreciate these small, beautiful moments – the crackle of firewood, the laughter of relatives, and the sound of birds in the nearby walnut trees. While waiting for the vegetables to roast, we enjoyed hot black tea from our samovar, another essential part of village life. 🍵 Sitting in the yard, talking about old stories, and enjoying the fresh mountain air is as much a part of the cooking process as the recipe itself.
Once the vegetables were perfectly cooked, we peeled their charred skins, chopped them finely, and mixed them together with fresh herbs like parsley and cilantro. A generous splash of sunflower oil, a sprinkle of salt, and a dash of village-grown sumac completed the dish. The result? A mangal salad that is smoky, juicy, and bursting with authentic flavor.
We served it alongside freshly baked village bread, warm from the tandoor, and enjoyed it together with our family in the garden. This is the true taste of country life cooking – fresh, simple, and made with love.
This video is not just about a recipe; it’s about sharing our country lifestyle with you.
