This is true HDMI, not analog to HDMI. The digital signals on the video DAC of the N64 are used to do this.
Unfortunately I do not have a HDMI capture card or a good camera. It looks great. It does expose low resolution of the N64 a bit, but emulating scanlines makes it look really good.N64 to Gamecube/Wii adapter for Zelda on Virtual Console prototype (ess fix)danielkraak2012-09-28 | In this video I am showing the prototype of an N64 to Gamecube adapter for Zelda on Virtual Console that I built. This adapter should make the analog stick feel the same as on N64 for the Virtual Console releases of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. This should also work for other Virtual Console games as long as it has the same analog stick mapping as Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. I haven't verified if other games use the same mapping as any of these games, but they probably do. Even if they don't have the same mapping they will probably be playable, but the analog stick feeling won't be completely like on N64 (you probably won't even be able to tell though).
A lot of credit goes to Raphael Assénat, who made an N64 to Gamecube/Wii adapter. By looking at his code I was able to make this adapter.
