Silver and Sparkles 2025-09-23 | ✨ In today’s tutorial, I’ll show you how to create a folio style junk journal using just two 12x12 scrapbook papers! This is a fun, that’s perfect for beginners or seasoned journal makers looking for a quick and creative idea.

📖 In this video, you’ll learn how to:
Fold and assemble your folio base with only two sheets of paper
Add flips, pockets, and tuck spots for journaling cards and ephemera
Customize your folio with embellishments, tags, and layered details

Measurements:
Cut 2 pieces of 12 x 12 paper at 7 inches.
Score both of the 7 x12 pieces on the 12 inch side at 2 and 7 inches.
Score one of the 5 x 12 pieces on the 12 inch side at 4, 8 and 10 1/2 inches.
Cut the last 5 x 12 piece at 7 inches. Trim it to be 4 1/2 x 7.
Cut the remaining 5 x5 piece at 4 3/4 so you you have one piece that measures 4 3/4 x 5. Cut this on the diagonal to make 2 triangles. Watch the video if this is confusing!

Measurements:
Cut one piece of 12 x12 inch paper into 3 pieces that measure 4 x 12 each.
Cut two of the 4 x 12 pieces on the 12 inch side at 8 1/4.
Score the 4 x 12 piece on the 12 inch side at 6 inches.
Score both of the 4 x 8 1/4 inch pieces on the 8 1/2 inch side at 5 1/4.

Cut one piece of 12 x 12 paper at 9 inches.
Cut the 9 x 12 inch piece on the 12 inch side at 10 inches.
Cut the 2 x 9 inch piece on the 9 inch side at 4 1/2 inches. (Trim each on just a smidge- see the tutorial!!)
Score the 9 x 10 inch piece on the 9 inch side at 4 1/2 inches. Score on the 10 inch side at 7 inches.
