Some gods and goddesses in the Smite 2023 Lineup are fairly easy to guess, while others will require more speculation. The second god of the year will probably be the Manticore. Similar to Fenrir, there were memes about the Manticore being the next god to be released due to him already being in jungle practice. The most likely role for the Manticore is being a hunter. The third god is likely going to Ixchel, bringing us another Mayan goddess. Based on her description, she will probably either be a support or a mage with healing capabilities. The fourth god is most certainly Charon, the Ferryman of Dead. With the river Styx carrying the souls being clearly visible in the trailer, there are almost no other options. Styx role is more unclear. As the ferryman of the dead, he could be a support, but with Charon's Coin being a more damage-oriented mage item, him being a mage is also absolutely possible. His role depends on what role Ixchel will receive. The fifth goddess appear to be Maman Brigitte, Baron Samedi's partner. The voodoo goddess could fit in a variety of roles, but with Baron Samedi already being a mage, my prediction is that she'll most likely be an assassin. Based on her lore, her being a guardian is also not out of question. The 6th god is the least obvious one, because the teaser somewhat blends with the narration from lore lady here. We know that there is supposed to be another god, though. Kaios speculates that this god could be Saturn/Cronus. Early New World Datamining Could Tell Us More About Next Weapon Abilities! (Celestial Gauntlet?) DukeSloth 2022-12-24 | The next weapon in New World has been confirmed by the devs to be a Focus weapon that will primarily be used for healing or supporting. So far, most of the speculation is either towards the Celestial Gauntlet or potentially a one-handed Mace, both of which were present at some point during the alpha or beta of the game. @BagginsTV also pointed out the possibility of a spellbook in his recent video discussing potential options for the upcoming weapon! Through datamined info from the early alpha phase, shortly before the preview phase of New World, we can learn more. The Celestial Gauntlet was originally the first healing weapon in New World and its abilities were mostly transferred to the Life Staff, which was the first healing weapon to be available on launch instead. But back then, most of the abilities, except Healing Wave which is now Sacred Ground, were very different. Supportive abilities included Holy Shield, a projectile block and Touch of Life, which was later Divine Embrace but with a very different function. But the weapon also had a much more aggressive skill tree, which included Siphon, a health and mana steal/drain, Speed of Light, an extremely fast dash and Smite, a damaging AoE. There's a very good chance that some variations of some of these abilities may make a return with the future weapon since some of the mechanics are mostly unused so far, but very potent and fun. The most known one is a trading post dupe, which lead to the trading post being disabled. Many of the newly introduced bugs, such as crashes and quest progression issues, were already fixed in today's patch. The Winter Warrior can now be fought in various spawn locations and will drop Warrior's Hailspikes, which can be traded for 10 Winter Tokens. Like last year, Winter Tokens can be converted to Premium Winter Tokens and these can also drop from the presents from the Christmas trees in towns. But this year, the event also comes with new patterns. The Floral Regent gear and the same variations in medium and heavy can be crafted with any attribute and come with Corrupted Ward, Elemental Aversion and Luck. These effects can normally not be crafted together. Since they're also locked at 600 GS, they are especially useful for new players, too.
