Mamas Boy - OC Animation Meme Mollish 2024-05-22 | It's dooooone!!! It's been a while since I've done an actual animation meme - I was getting back into rewriting Draka Imperium's main story and was inspired to make this :) I finally had time after my second semester of grad school finished! YippeeeeeSome story notes on what's shown here: This video centers around Uovos, a Snow/Sand drake hybrid. His mother is a Sand drake fugitive, who fled from the skonite ore mines in the desert with her daughter (Uovos' half-sister) Yuvaika. His father is a rather cowardly but well-meaning Snow drake nomad. Uovos in his youth was looked after primarily by Yuvaika rather than his parents. Glacignius, an Imperial dragon Centurion, eventually tracked down Uovos' mother, and was scarred in the face by Yuvaika. Instead of executing Uovos' mother for running away and Yuvaika for the assault (and Uovos' father for aiding a runaway), Glacignius struck a bargain: Yuvaika and Uovos' father could live as they wished, while the Centurion would return Uovos' mother to the skonite mines and would take Uovos back to Zenith (the Imperial capital) as his own ward. Yuvaika hated this offer, but both of Uovos' parents accepted, seeing as how it meant both of their children would survive. Uovos was then raised in Zenith and trained alongside other legionaries in the Imperial army. He made up for his small stature and lack of an element with his agility and finesse in melee combat, often winning fights against much larger opponents. His reputation rose quickly, as did his rank. Glacignius conditioned him as subtly as he could, attempting to overwrite the young drake's previous upbringing underneath his parents and half-sister, so as to transform him into the Imperium's perfect warrior: a soldier with unshakeable loyalty to the Imperium, yet with intricate knowledge of its enemies and the outside wilds. As effective as the Centurion's efforts may have otherwise been, however, they never completely erased Uovos' memory of his family and their teachings.Glacignius' final test of his ward's loyalty before promoting him to Optio (the Centurion's own second-in-command) was the task of bringing him the head of Yuvaika, who had grown over the years into a formidable rebel leader known as the 'Viper of the West'. Before Uovos could make the decision on whether to remain loyal to his superior or to his family, however, Glacignius' cohort was summoned by Empress Atein to assist in the invasion of Roseate Wyvern territory in the southeastern rocky barrens. The events which transpired there were catastrophic, to say the least, resulting in the death of not only Uovos' entire regiment, but the Empress herself under mysterious circumstances. OC Animatic - Draka Imperium: The Centurions Ward Mollish 2024-02-22 | AFTER SO MANY WEEKS, IT IS FINISHED!! My first Draka Imperium animatic set to actual dialogue! KEEP READING FOR STORY CONTEXT: Here we get a glimpse into the story of one of the main characters of Draka Imperium, Uovos: a mixed-blooded drake whose childhood was briefly spent with his sand drake mother, snow drake father, and older half-sister, Yuvaika. Uovos' mother was a fugitive skonite ore miner - she had fled with her daughter (Yuvaika, at the time only a few years old) from her servitude in the Imperial skonite mines in the Orodulu desert, taking a little of the precious skonite ore with her, and went into hiding in the northwestern region of the Imperium. There, she met the snow drake who would become Uovos' father, and the family remained in hiding as nomads for as long as they could. However, the fugitives couldn't stay hidden forever. Uovos' mother was eventually tracked down by Imperial forces, headed by the Centurion known as Glacignius: an extremely rare fire/ice bi-elemental, renowend across the Imperium for his prowess in battle as well as his cunning. Glacignius arrested Uovos' mother but not before being wounded by Yuvaika, who gave him his facial scars - the Centurion would have executed Yuvaika as punishment, had Uovos' father not struck a bargain: he offered to go into servitude in the mines alongside his mate, provided that the Centurion let the children live. I headcanon that he used to be human, once, but after he got the revive book and he and Punz kept testing it and bringing each other back, both of them began to lost their humanity (both literally and metaphorically). c!Dream's soul is bound to his mask - he loses a life whenever it breaks, and it reforms whenever he is revived, which is why it always appears to have a slightly fractured appearance. These last few lore streams have given me a huge boost of inspiration and, despite being super busy with schoolwork, I've been pushing myself to do some fanart as well.
