Snowpiercer! A korean written and directed flick starring mostly English speaking actors. It's also available to watch online here youtube.com/watch?v=Lg01IpHg0Qo so if you have the free time check it out. We give it 2 coffee cups, because it is one of those movies where you love it, hate it, or are seriously confused afterwards. This is definitely a must see!Movie Review - A Million Ways to Die in the WestCoffee Brown2014-06-01 | Hello it is Shalone Cason with coffee and critiques. This is a show where I basically drink coffee (starbucks mocha cookie crumble, it just came back! I love this stuff! and I got a raspberry pound cake) and review movies. The movie that I'm reviewing today is "A Million Ways to Die in the West." Now I'm going to go over three things, why I liked or didn't like it, what I thought was great, and what could have been better.
First off, I love "A Million Ways to Die in the West." It's witty, it's funny, it's well written, and the plot does not drag on. The plot is very well paced and all the characters are great. I just really love almost anything Seth MacFarlane does. His writing is really witty. The cinematography was great. There's a lot of great stuff in this movie. If you want to laugh, go see this movie. If you want to see a movie that has action, comedy, and romance, go see this movie. If you need a movie to go see with your family don't go see this movie. There is a lot of profanity and a lot of sexual references so don't go see this movie with your mom, unless she's into that kinda thing.
What did I think was great about the movie? My number one thing that I thought was great was the writing. Not only was this movie laugh out loud funny, but it was witty funny, and that is what I really love about Seth MacFarlane's writing. I love his TV shows, his movies, everything. He has this comedic wit about him that no one else really has. So not only will you laugh, you'll get an intellectual chuckle out of a lot of the lines that Seth and the other actors present. Now the main antagonist in the movie is supposedly Liam Neeson, but it's really not. The main bad guy is Neil Patrick Harris and he is absolutely hilarious. I would go see this movie again just to see Neil Patrick Harris make a fool out of himself in the old west, it's awesome. So that's what I really liked.
What I thought could be better? I don't know. There was a lot of "love story" in this movie. It is a love story movie. There are other aspects to it (comedy, action) but it's really a love story and I feel like there could have been a little bit more comedy. However, that might have taken away from the fact that this is an all around great movie. So you can't really pigeonhole Seth MacFarlane into a comedy genre, because this movie was all-around great. Even though I say I would like for it to have been more comedic or more action or more whatever, what I really liked about the movie was that it was very well rounded.
In conclusion, "A Million Ways to Die in the West" was great. I have a rating system which consists of coffee cups. Three coffee cups means the movie was awesome. Two coffee cups means it's mediocre. Maybe you should go see it, maybe you shouldn't. One coffee cups means don't see it, it was terrible. I give "A Million Ways to Die in the West" three coffee cups! Go see this movie. There really is no reason to not go and see this. It is a great summer movie. It has comedy, it has action, and it has a lot of cameos you wouldn't expect. It's very witty. The pacing is great. you'll have a great time laughing and watching this movie. Don't wait, go see this movie right away. It is awesome! Three coffee cups for "A Million Ways to Die in the West", and that is my coffee and critique of the week. I will see you next week.
