Linda Krive - Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb CFA (Country Fire Authority) 2022-09-08 | After a brush with cancer earlier this year, Malmsbury Captain Linda Krive headed straight to the gym to prepare for the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb. This Saturday she will climb 28 floors of the Crown Metropol Hotel wearing 25kgs of gear to raise money and awareness for mental health. Joining her on the journey to the top will be her daughter, Ashley, who was first inspired to join CFA by her mum. Excercise Walkaway CFA (Country Fire Authority) 2022-08-30 | Over the weekend CFA participated in multi-agency training exercise at Wyndham Vale where emergency crews were tasked with supporting the community during a grassfire. Led by Victoria Police, crews were faced with a number of mock incident scenarios that were a result of a grassfire threat in the area. The community was taught to safely walk two streets back from the fire instead of driving – and they were shown what could happen if advice isn’t followed.
