In this video, I explain why I intentionally kept my van build lightweight — from avoiding rooftop solar panels and permanent plumbing systems to choosing a smaller refrigerator, portable systems, and lighter materials. Because I’ve learned that heavier doesn’t always mean better. I talk about: ✔️ Why I skipped rooftop solar ✔️ The hidden weight of showers & plumbing ✔️ Why I chose a small fridge ✔️ Portable vs permanent systems ✔️ Lightweight van build materials ✔️ Why “more” can create more stress in vanlife
This isn’t about judging anyone’s build. It’s about showing that there are alternatives — and that vanlife can be simpler, lighter, and more flexible than people think.

I didn’t expect a knee injury to slow me down like this… but I didn’t expect what it would reveal about me either.Sometimes the hardest truth is realizing you might be the thing in your own way.
In this video, I share a day in van life while recovering from injury—and how reading The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest shifted how I see self-sabotage, growth, and stillness. Van life often looks like freedom and movement… but what happens when you’re forced to stop? #vanlife #solofemalevanlife #DIYbuild #Ram PromasterI Stopped Using So Many Products on my HAIR and this is the result!Lady Bugout2026-04-18 | I stopped using so many products… and honestly, my skin and hair got better. Over the years, I’ve simplified almost everything in my life—including my skincare and haircare routine. And what I found surprised me… doing less actually worked better for me.
In this video, I’m sharing exactly what I use (and what I don’t), how often I wash my hair, the natural products I keep on hand, and why I’ve moved away from complicated routines and harsh ingredients.
This isn’t a perfect routine. It’s just what works for me living in a small space, on the road, and wanting to keep things simple, clean, and low-maintenance.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by all the products out there… or wondered if there’s a simpler way—this might give you a different perspective.
🌿 WHAT I TALK ABOUT: My minimalist skincare routine Natural ingredients I use (like castor oil + aloe vera) Why I don’t wash my hair every day How I care for dry hair and skin The role of salon treatments (and why I still do them) How simplifying routines can support your skin barrier + scalp health

But after years in a van, I realized the real reason has nothing to do with square footage. It comes down to how the space is defined.
In this video I share the simple 3-zone rule that makes small spaces feel calm instead of chaotic.
This system works for vans, tiny homes, studio apartments, RV living and anyone who is downsizing and trying to make their small space feel peaceful and organized.

#Vanlife #SoloFemaleVanlife #WinterVanlife #VanlifeSafety #VanlifeRoutineWinter Van Life Reality: My Van (and Mind) Needed a ResetLady Bugout2026-02-14 | Winter van life isn’t always epic road trips and beautiful views. Sometimes it means low batteries, empty water jugs, trash that needs taking out, and a space that just feels off.
In this winter van life reset day, I’m recharging my battery system, refilling water, fixing a broken plug-in connection, and resetting my tiny 80 sq ft home — and honestly, resetting my mind too.
Living in a small space means you feel everything. When the bed isn’t made, the floor isn’t swept, or the counters are cluttered, it doesn’t just look messy — it takes up mental space.
Today is about: • Van life maintenance in winter • Charging and power management • Refilling water systems • Simple daily resets in small spaces • Solo winter campground life • Why small habits matter
Whether you live in a van, a small apartment, or a full-size house — sometimes all it takes is a few intentional resets to feel grounded again.

🐰 Bunny (@BunnyPlaysHere) and I set out for a hike at Lion Lake, then cruised along the scenic Hungry Horse Dam Road to the Hungry Horse Reservoir, with incredible views on the east side. We checked out Emery Bay Campground, explored a day-use area, and talked about why it’s always worth stopping at the info kiosks: fees, maps, trail updates, wildlife warnings, fire hazards, and ranger contacts.
🏞️ We tried to make it up to Firefighter Mountain Trail, but road ruts made it too risky for Bunny’s van. Instead, we turned back—but not before testing how my self-converted van build handled rough, bumpy Montana backroads. Spoiler: it passed with flying colors (except for one rogue object 😅).
✨ If you’re into vanlife, solo travel, Montana hikes, or just love exploring new campgrounds and hidden gems, this video is for you. There’s so much beauty here, and I’m bringing you along for every mile, trail, and coffee-sipping morning.
