LeCrone 2008-09-06 | NEW: Duelist Dreamspirit's PvP/Arena FAQ: http://www.dreamspirit-studios.com/WoW.html (Filmed During the Beginning of Season 4) -- High Quality Version Now Available! -- 2000 2K Tier 2v2 WoW Arena Restokin Druid / Mace Warrior vs. Frost Mage / Mace Rogue I've been INCREDIBLY busy and pressed for time, but I last night when I was running Restokin / Dreamstate Druid + Warrior on a whim, I recorded a few really solid fights, and I wanted to take the time to share one of them (especially since Restokin + Warrior is not a terribly common pairing). While I don't have time at the moment to do voice commentary (sorry!), hopefully you guys will find some useful tips in my massive blocks of text. It's a relatively short match, so I suppose you could always watch through it once and read, and a second time and watch the gameplay in detail, but whatever works for you. :) I chose this fight in part to show some of my Dreamstate Druid gameplay (which I, apparently, haven't uploaded before), and my own Druid + Warrior gameplay in general. I chose this particular fight because Restokin are notoriously weak against double melee teams (especially rogues), and Warriors are weak against Mages, so... well.... it's an uphill encounter we have to try to maneuver into our favor via careful timing, preparation, and LoS. (And if you have any tips of your own: I certainly welcome them! :) ) And to those that will complain that I occassionally click some of my spells: I've progressively weaned myself from clicking, over to keybinding, but that doesn't mean I don't revert to "old habits" now and then in the heat of battle. Just like everyone out there: I'm still ever-working on refining my gameplay. :) It takes time, but it's well worth it. It's all a progression anyway, after all! If you're curious about further details, make sure to check out my Blog. :) I admit I'm a touch rusty with Feral, but I had a lot of fun with it on the Tournament Realm in particular, and am looking forward to my Armored Murloc Pet from my participation there (And if you have any tips of your own: I certainly welcome them! :) ). I definitely need to "tweak" my Feral UI to avoid all the floating text "spam." I'd originally intended do a bit of commentary to this, but I honestly ran out of time this time around so there might be one for it ahead in the future. There were certainly some really tight, rapid moments I'd have liked to point out a little more specifically, but all well: it's hard to do it all. Mostly, I'll admit that the little comical intro section..... took on a life of its own when I nudged Remedi to see if he'd do some voices for me for the video (which would give me an excuse to try some more "Machinima"-like stuff). In doing so, the script got a lot funnier (at least to me ^_~), and probably four times as long, but it was well worth it in the end. He's my freaking hero (and hopefully my teammates realize the jokes are intended to be all in good fun). It's so incredibly REWARDING connecting with other people, isn't it? :) I can't believe how long that little section took, but it's definitely something I'd like to try a bit more of in the future how that I've begun to test the waters (you might have noticed this with my last 5v5s Moonkin video). Let me know what you think! And oh: I also can't believe the world didn't explode from Remedi's impersonation of a Canadian, female tauren. Just woooooow. ;) (Blade is going to kill me...). LeCrone 2008-09-07 | NEW: Duelist Dreamspirit's PvP/Arena FAQ: http://www.dreamspirit-studios.com/WoW.html (Filmed During the Beginning of Season 4) -- High Quality Version Now Available! -- 2000 2K Tier 2v2 WoW Arena Resto Druid / Mace Warrior vs. Restokin Druid / Rogue I've been INCREDIBLY busy and pressed for time, but last night, after some Dreamstate Druid + Warrior games I switched back to my more "Traditional" Resto PvP build to finish off the evening (during which time we had some incredibly, epically long fights (but still nothing longer than the two hour and forty-seven minute match I endured during Season 3...) In any case, I digress. :) Both Resto Druid + Warrior and Restokin Druid + Rogue are incredibly common pairings in the upper brackets I have played (2000+), and since I run both pairings (and then some ... ), I thought it would be fun to make a video showing how one of my Partners and I handle such match-ups. While I know some of you out there might be more interested in paritular combos, I would highly suggest that you not only expreience Arena with various partners and pairings (even if just for Skirmishes and the experience), but that you also look up and watch videos of various pairings to see how they handle each other because it will give you a better idea of how different teams "think." Likewise: there's usually something you can take away with you to use in your own games. :) Resto Druid + Warrior vs. Restokin Druid + Rogue is fairly evenly matched, but in my own opinion, is "slightly" in the Restokin Druid + Rogue's favor for the reasons I mention in the video. While I don't have time at the moment to do voice commentary (sorry!), hopefully you guys will find the matches (there are two) entertaining. The pace of both fights was extremely fast so I chose not to add text/captions because it ended up obscuring/taking away from what was going on, and our reflexes and ways my Partner and I adapted to the fight are what really pleased me in these two particular fights. (Also: I apparently haven't uploaded but one other Resto Druid + Warrior match I've been a part of, and that was way back in the Middle of Season 3! Yipe!) As I'm sick at the moment, no commentaries just yet, but I had a match I thought I'd share from one of my many arena teams (which we ran for fun). This videos contains footage from one of the hardest team compositions for ours to counter (2x melee DPS + heavy dispells). We went 0-4 to this team in the matches prior, and this one is anything but flawless (panicked is more like it), and I'm sorry there is is no commentary, but fights like this... well... ... 1700 Tier 2v2 WoW Arena Druid Warlock vs. Mage Rogue w/ Comm K. LeCrone 2008-06-01 | 1700 Tier 2v2 WoW Arena Resto Druid and SL/SL Warlock vs. Ice Mage and Mace Rogue ***** COMMENTARY VERSION! ***** I've been pressed for time, but I found an older fight (from over two months ago) with my warlock and I versus an Ice Mage and Mace Rogue. I chose this fight because I had a few requests asking how we deal with this pairing. While I didn't have time to do commentary for it, I hope it is helpful, and holler if you have any questions, or have any tips of your own! And to those that will complain that I still click some of my spells: I'm thankful to say I'm still working on keybinding (and using!) more. :) It takes time, but it's well worth it. I've learned about 4-6 more since this and changed my UI up a bit, but, well, you get to see this older version, so apologies! It's all a progression anyway, after all! For this one: I intend to put out a commentary version as soon as I have the time to narrate one. I chose this fight because it is one of the hardest pairings for druid/warlock, and takes a great deal of coordination to pull off a kill. And if you have any tips of your own: I certainly welcome them! :) And to those that will complain that I still click some of my spells and keyboard turn sometimes: I'm thankful to say I'm still working on keybinding (and using!) more. :) It takes time, but it's well worth it. Rogue / Shadow Priest 3.) Fel Guard Lock (Warlock) / (2k Rated) Ret (Retribution) Paladin I don't pretend we're top-notch in the least, but I put together three matches from February that varied in difficulty and playstyle and were a nice change of pace. LeCrone 2008-01-06 | WoW 1600 Tier 2v2 Arena - Hunter/Druid vs. Arcane Mage and Discipline Priest Preface: I recently spent some time entirely overhauling my bare UI from how I had it for 3+ years in order to improve my "game." (It still needs a ton of work) I also changed my movement keys from "wasd" to "esdf" in order to have more bind keys available. But habits...are hard to break. ...and I still need time to acclimate to these major changes. This fight flip-flopped in each team's favor multiple times, which is why I chose to upload it. Hopefully others can learn from the bits of triumph and mistakes. Keep in mind as you watch this that Moonfire costs 495 mana to cast... Still learning, as always! -Dreamspirit
WoW 1600 Tier 2v2 Arena - Hunter/Druid vs. Fire and Ice Mage K. LeCrone 2008-01-01 | WoW 1600 Tier 2v2 Arena - Hunter/Druid vs. Fire Mage and Ice Mage Here is how a recent match vs. Double DPS went down. I can't say how amazing well-timed silencing shots/scatters/traps/cyclones and LoS are. While I can shift out of the frost novas, I didn't want to take away time from keeping my hunter and I hotted up in preparation for the silences/CC I knew was coming. Less than 2 minutes of actual combat. :) I'm starting to like Blade's Edge more and more. I'm (normally) full S2/S3 Feral, and just recently started collecting some PvP Resto gear, so pardon my mismatched gear! Still learning, as always! -Dreamspirit
WoW 1600 Tier 2v2 Arena - Hunter/Druid vs. Warrior/Druid #2 K. LeCrone 2007-12-31 | WoW 1600 Tier 2v2 Arena - Hunter/Druid vs. Warrior/Druid #2 ...And this is what happens when you PvP (Player vs. Pillar)! The other warrior/druid matchup I had had the warrior stuck on the hunter and his pet and me just a bit, this time around (a different team), the warrior eventually sticks to me in Blade's Edge. Baiting so the warrior is out of LoS of both you and his partner = profit! I'm (normally) full S2/S3 Feral, and just recently started collecting some PvP Resto gear, so pardon my mismatched gear! WoW - 1600 Tier 2v2 Arena - Hunter/Druid vs. Warrior/Druid K. LeCrone 2007-12-31 | 1600 Tier 2v2 WoW Arena Hunter/Druid vs. Warrior/Druid. I don't pretend we're top-notch, but this fight had some incredibly close calls on both sides (even after there were dead among us), so I thought I'd upload it. :) (And oh man is it easy to pick out mistakes upon review!)
