Gaming on a Massive 4K Screen with the BenQ X500i – True Immersion! Retro Handhelds 2024-10-09 | 👉 Our new pals over at @BenQGlobal emailed me and asked if we wanted to review their slick new X500i gaming projector. Since I already had a projector that was on its last legs, I quickly said yes. After a *drama*-filled shipping adventure that saw one unit lost, it finally arrived, and I can honestly say I was blown away. Jumping from a 1080p projector with a dimming bulb to a brand new 4K projector was a tidal shift in how I consume media. Filming took a couple days longer than I wanted just because I kept getting sucked into watching movies or playing games on this projector. Speaking of games, with multiple preset viewing modes, auto modes that detect which console you have plugged in, super low latency, and a beau-tee-full 4K output, the X500i could be the ultimate upgrade to your gaming cave or nerd den.*Also, I'm stupid and completely forgot to mention the speakers. Anbernic RG406V - The Best Vertical Handheld Yet | Zu Reviews! Retro Handhelds 2024-09-25 | 👉 Our old buddies over at @ANBERNIC sent Zu and Gary their latest in the T820 line, the RG 406V. Obviously a direct successor to the weirdly comfortable 405V from last year, the 406V boasts the same ergonomics while adding improved components! The main improvement are the upgraded analog sticks which are very precise and have no cardinal snapping! Anbernic also upgraded the screen to a 960×720 IPS panel. They also improved the trigger design, which reduces false inputs to almost zero while improving on the ergonomics in general. Did our intrepid duo like the 406V? I WAS WRONG: An Unhinged Review of the MSI Claws BEST Feature📢 Retro Handhelds 2024-09-15 | 👉A no-specs re-review of the MSI Claw A1M (Ultra Core 7 155H 512GB) by Stubbs, who initially doubted the device, but was won over by its audio quality in both hardware and software, ergonomic comfort for large hands, and low TDP battery life! The Claw is a real contender now with a new lower price point. Anbernic RG40XXV Review: This Might Be My New FAVORITE Vertical Retro Handhelds 2024-08-25 | 👉Stubbs dives into the all-new RG40XXV, a new H700 vertical handheld sent for review from Anbernic. Stubbs gives his impressions and thoughts as he tests out this vertical against some of his favorites like the 35XX, R36S, and more. This H700 variant features a crisp 4" IPS display, 3200mAh battery, a single RGB light-up joystick, and an EXCELLENT dpad and face buttons. Also, now Anbernic has sleep working properly this go-around (I discovered after posting this). The H700 CPU plays up to PSP, N64, Dreamcast, and Nintendo DS.Not without its flaws, the shoulders are sensitive, the joystick is not as good as the competition, and one of the pre-production units here has a funky L1 button. All in all, this might still be the BEST H700 yet, if not the best budget vertical altogether, even making owning an expensive Analogue Pocket unnecessary (according to Stubbs)!
