10 years after visiting the U.S. for the first time, Cesar opened the #STL Latin nightclub Club Viva in 1996. Since then, he has established a home for people of all backgrounds to learn a wide array of Latin dancing styles.

Performers at the Improv Shop created “Some Black People”, an all-Black improv team, to encourage and support performers of color. The Improv Shop offers classes and workshops, and as a predominately white performance medium, they have created opportunities to be more inclusive of diverse performers and audiences.
