Crown Victoria vs. Monroe Load Adjusting Shocks 58628 & MOOG CC865 Springs PANZER PLATFORM 2023-05-26 | I fixed my saggy rear end due to worn out springs. The rear only had 1.5” inches of wheel well gap. I installed MOOG CC865 Springs ($70), and that restored factory ride height at 2.5” inches of wheel well gap. Then I installed Monroe Load Adjusting Shocks 58628 ($110) 1997-2003 F-150, and that lifted an additional 1.5” inches for a total of 4” inches of wheel well gap. No modifications required, and ride quality is unchanged. I did this on both my 2004 Crown Vic, and 2010 MGM. For $180 I’m a happy camper, and I should have done this years ago. The best part of this “mod” is when I load 300lbs. in the trunk, it only drops ¾” of an inch. Crown Victoria P71/P7B - Clutch Pulley Malfunction PANZER PLATFORM 2022-03-16 | Shoutout to Mike Lorigo for sharing the malfunction on his 2009 P71; youtu.be/WsoMFe2Bs6kQ: What's that noise at 0:08?A: Crown Victoria Police Interceptor P71/P7B have an overrunning clutch pulley attached to the alternator. The clutch pulley allows a more aggressive factory PCM calibration that uses a different transmission shift strategy. 1st, and 2nd gears are held longer, and upshift at higher engine RPM. This allows the car to accelerate quicker. Especially during forced downshifts at wide open throttle. Without the clutch pulley, the drive belt may become damaged during high RPM wide open throttle transmission upshifts (if I left anything out, let me know in the comments so I can make corrections).The noise heard at 0:08 is a malfunctioned clutch pulley.
