After Zoe and I split, and I witnessed my mother dying in my arms this past year, I felt that there was no other way to make this video other than simply allowing people to feel the same emotions that the song created for me as well-- emotions of grief in honor of the beauty of deep love.
So here it is Circles. An experimental art music video about loss the musings of pain. I recommend letting it become a safe space for you to feel the love for those you have lost. The Great SynthesisTeddy Saunders2023-04-03 | After feeling lost for quite some time, Lucy is visited in her dreams and given a vision of whats possible.

Key Points: • Often we don't change who we are until we are in enough pain to do so. • Not taking action is what causes stress • Procrastination is the unwillingness to face the fear and discomfort of your goals. • Courage is the ability to feel your fear and move forward anyhow. • Mastering compassion is the greatest gift of being human. • In the Hero's journey he must fall into the ashes (katabasis) before he can have the fearlessness to win the war. • To fail is to not try. The best thing you can do is try, and gather the data. • To not know if you can do something is an opportunity to learn.

This shows some of the animated work that I've directed along the way.JUICED - Test SceneTeddy Saunders2020-08-27 | This is a test scene for my next film, JUICED, an incredible true story about white fragility and the black experience. In this film, Nick gets kidnapped in his own car by PJ and forced to sell juice in the streets of Milwaukee one night, as Nick faces near-death and a rebirth of new perspective.
Most of us likely thing that we are X, Y, or Z. And we accept that it's true. We might say something like I am sad, I am angry, or I am bad. Which may be true, but what else are we? In this video, we explore the idea of the fact that we can't change our past, but we can change our state of being. Believe it or not, being is a choice. At any point I can choose to be vulnerable, I can choose to be loving, I can choose to be honest, I can choose to be brave, I can choose to be worthy. And that ability for us to have the power of choice is such a blessing. Are you being someone that you don't want to be? Well, why not choose to BE something that you do want instead. Instead of taking why not choose to be giving? Instead of hating, why not choose to be loving?
If we place blame, hate, shame, guilt or pity on someone else, where is it coming from? It's coming from us. We are creating that. So in a way we are doing that right back to ourselves. Imagine if everything you said about someone, every piece of gossip or story, you added the words "just like me" on the end. If we are the ones saying those words, if we are the creators of those words, of those words come out of us, then those words can also be considered projections of ourselves.
Knowing this, who do you want to be? What words do you choose to speak about others? You have the power of choice. You may be your history, but not in every moment. Perhaps in your subconscious and your dreams ou are that child in pain, but in every waking moment, you can choose to be the energy and express the words, of that superhero.Control vs FreedomTeddy Saunders2020-07-10 | More and more in my life, I have come to realize that I love to control everything. I assume it was because my father loved to control me and his father loved to control him. Maybe its because I am a Virgo and want everything to be perfect. Who knows. But what I have come to realize is the price that I pay for this. I'm paying the price of being free. Of letting things happen.
Just the other day I was at a party and someone told me to control the music. I was happy to share my gifts as the iPhone DJ for all 40 guests, but the BlueTooth wasn't working and then we didn't have the right adapter, and then we needed another adapter and an hour later, with no music at the party, and with me running around like a chicken with his head cut off at the party I realized that my choice to control the music created the opposite of freedom. I was stressed, panicked and embarrassed for the party to have to endure my struggle. Meanwhile, anyone with an android phone could have plugged right in.
These days I am much more keenly aware of who is choosing to take control and what price they are willing to pay. We all come from different trauma and upbringings, and perhaps we let everyone make the choices for us or perhaps we had to make all the choices for ourselves. Either way, I think it's important to think about what battles to pick when it comes to having control, or when it comes to giving up your freedom. You cant always fight people and defend your control, and you can't always let people walk all over you and give up control.
I invite you to find a healthy balance and practice the art of letting go if you consider yourself always needing to be right.Comfort vs PowerTeddy Saunders2020-07-07 | Are you comfortable? If you are, are you living your dream and doing all of the legendary stuff that you always imagined? Perhaps this is possible, however, the act of doing powerful things doesn't often come with comfort. To have power means to stand above the noise, against the current and do be in a place that nobody else wants to go. To be unapologetically strong in your disruptive, unique, authentic and courageous believes so much that no hater can knock you down. It takes grit and commitment to be fully in one's power, but at what cost? For any celebrity, their power comes at a cost of privacy. It's hard to make a huge impact on the world while staying hidden in one's comfort. So I ask you. Are you living in your power? If not, are you living in your comfort? Are you a jellyfish that goes with the current or a rock that gets pounded by the waves, unmovable. Determined. Are you willing to lean into your discomfort for the sake of growth? Do you believe that the only way out is through? That resistance leads to persistence? If it scares you, should you run away into your comfortable secluded nest? If you do, does the problem go away? Does hiding in comfort give you power?
Leave a comment if you are ready to commit to your power, whatever it takes, and never look back. 🔥🙌🏽🚀Victimization vs ResponsibilityTeddy Saunders2020-07-07 | Life is hard. It can feel unfair. Perhaps we have been dealt some shitty cards. Maybe we go through life telling the story about the shitty cards that we were dealt. But who is the one telling that story? Who has the power to change that story?
Recently I have learned that playing the role of victim is a way to gain CONTROL over someone else. And quite a petty one at that. Often we go through life enabling ourselves and our friends to stay in that role of feeling sorry for ourselves or for one another. But I have some good news. You don't have to feel sorry anymore. You don't have to apologize anymore. But there is a better way, and its called responsibility. Its called ownership. You don't have to feel shame, or fault, or blame or guilt. There is another form of control and power, but unline playing the role of victim, it frees you, it empowers you and it doesn't allow for the people around you to have to lower their vibration to empathize with your "less fortunate" self. Its called responsibility. Being 100% responsible for everything is a choice that all people can make. Being responsible for everything is a way to take back their power. In this video, I explain how it works.
Do you have a victim story that you have been telling yourself and others? Can you figure out how to take responsibility of that event and create ownership, responsibility and power from it?

SCRIPT/POEM/LYRICS
When I grow up. I want to live my dreams. Dreams that I dream when I'm awake. Dreams that I know that I can make.
When I grow up. I want to be a doctor. So I can save your life one day. And make you awake so you can play.
When I grow up. I want to be tall so all can see. I want to talk clear so all can hear. I want to be me so you can be you. When I grow up I want to be true.
I want to be new. So shiny and bright. So sparkly it will bring day to your night.
When I grow up. I want to inspire. And learn how to spin, like I was on fire. Twirling and whirling so bright and so free. When I grow up I want to be me.
Now I'm grown up. And I've seen many things. I've been many mees and crossed many seas.
But now I'm grown up. There's one thing that I know. I'll never grow up. Cause I'll never let go.
Of when I was a kid. And I played and I played. And and I looked up to others. Because they knew their ways.
Now as I look back. As to who I am now. I lift up my chin. I lift it up proud.
Cause I have spent time. And gone many miles. But as I look back. I remain a child.
With so much to learn and more to explore. One day I'll grow up. But now I want more.
One day I'll grow up. Or maybe I won't.
Because grown ups are dumb. So today I'll be young.
