AGAIN and AGAIN (Basto!) - On Logic Pro X ddemkoo 2021-02-08 | One of Basto's well-known songs published over a decade ago, that has been following me for years. Here's a tribute remake for "Again and Again", remade on Logic Pro.Original song that I highly suggest checking out before listening: youtu.be/GIk6kSdeIsAAside from a few mixing artifacts and tiny instruments differences, the song was to replicate "Again and Again" (the Radio Edit v.) as accurately as possible to the original. The only thing that was taken from the original was the 2 seconds vocal.I've recently got myself a sound plug-in, an extension to my music making software, Nexus 3, that came with a few iconic sounds that big composers use. Such as an early 2010s bright dance piano sound instrument, which was a inevitable opportunity for me to re-work this song heh.Re-work? Yes! Over the years from time to time, I found myself chilling to "Again and Again", "Gregory's Theme", and when I felt like looking for some challenge, I decided to remake these songs. Here we are in 2021, and I've got around 7-8 attempts of remaking the same songs, from different years, and with each attempt seeing the huge progress I've been making on this musical journey.This one remake today is no exception, and as I finished it, I can clearly say that I've finally reach the accuracy level I was always dreaming to reach. I've added backing vocals to one of my older songs to give it a more immersive fx.For the pas few months the song You Spin Me Round from Dead or Alive (2003 version) stuck in my head: I really wanted to know how they made the vocals, a pattern that a lot of music composers use to boost the vocal chords, especially in early the early 2000.Spin Me was a perfect song to decompose and to lear how they made up the chords.That's what I did!
