I had a 2008 Chevy Express Van that I had cleaned the throttle body on and needed to do a throttle body reset. The second car was a 2009 Dodge Journey that the a/c would work great on while sitting in the bay but would flat just quit working when driving. The Launch tool worked really well when working on these two using completely different functions.

1999 Explorer diagnosis with a pressure pulse sensor J Wilkers 2019-02-09 | I had a few minutes to check this customer's vehicle between jobs so I got out my new pulse sensor to see how the waveform looked and I noticed a problem. 2013 Ford C-Max hybrid injector trouble P0204 J Wilkers 2019-02-06 | Customer brought this one in with it running really bad, no contribution from cylinder 4 and multiple codes. The way it ran would have made you believe it was more than a failed injector. Car ran beautifully after replacing the injector with no PCM codes returning and a customer relieved that it wasn't something worse.

2012 Kia Forte 2.0L P0441 code quick tips and diagnosis J Wilkers 2018-11-28 | Had a customer bring in their own purge valve to address a P0441 code. I wanted to do some basic checks on the vehicle to verify if this was actually a problem after finding the valve not holding vacuum I replaced the valve with the new part and the problem was solved. Hope this helps someone out this was an easy diagnosis on this one but I did also want to verify the the computer had control of the valve before just playing swaptronics.

1999 Accord V6 bad motor mount by radiator J Wilkers 2018-11-01 | Customer came in with this car and didn't even mention the huge clunk from the motor jumping 3 inches when giving it gas. New motor mount and all is well.
2004 S80 multiple cyl misfires primary coil ramp J Wilkers 2018-11-01 | The scope really highlighted the failure on the primary coil ramps. When I put a trace to let me reference the coil ramp to the correct cylinder you can see cylinder #1 and #4 failing. Turned out cylinder #5 still had a misfire under a load and the vehicle had original Volvo plugs with 162k miles.

Jeep wont run on alternative fuel J Wilkers 2018-10-10 | Customer brought me a Jeep with crank/no start, they had already replaced: spark plugs, coils, battery, alternator, 2 PCMs, timing chain, fuel pump and it still wouldn't run. Turns out that the vehicle had pressure at the fuel rail but it was mostly water. We cleaned out the fuel tank, lines and fuel rail and the truck started and ran quite well after. Moral of the story, for some people a locking gas cap is a necessity to keep pissed off ex friends from causing mayhem.
2004 BMW 325i MAF sensor failure J Wilkers 2018-10-03 | This car was having trouble with the reading from the MAF sensor here's a quick test to run on the sensor to see if the output is correct or if the sensor is bad. As a side note, unplugging the sensor to make sure it wasn't shorted to a power source proved that it went down to 0 volts that was one check I didn't show on here.

Called the customer to report the problem and they immediately tried to blame us even though all we did was have the truck on our parking lot. I grabbed my phone to document the situation because I felt it was a fire hazard and wasn't going to be blamed for something that wasn't my fault then I found the reason. When we say we've seen most everything here this is what we mean.
Audi aftermarket fuel pump tip 2009 Q7 Quattro J Wilkers 2018-08-25 | Installed this fuel pump on a 2009 Audi Q7 and found out it has an open port in the top where the fuel heater line could be attached. The original pump had this port blocked off but you may have to block it off if your Audi doesn't have that option. Hope this tip helps.
