More about the project:
This simple, modular wooden pavilion was designed as an adaptable extension to existing buildings, using a structural module that can be repeated as needed. The cabinets work as seats, platforms, and storage for materials meant to stay within public reach, introducing new dynamics that can be explored through the drawing pieces. All wood is fixed externally, so every connection stays visible and easy to understand at any scale.

If you’re ready to get serious with D5, this course teaches everything I know — from efficient workflow to high-end visuals: learnupstairs.com/courses/d5-render-visualizing-architecture
~
This is the most complete and cinematic architectural animation I’ve ever made. It’s not just about showing a building… it’s about telling a story, creating a mood, and presenting a project in a way that actually connects with people.
The video was inspired by the style of channels like The Local Project, EST Living, and OpenSpace. They do such a great job capturing built architecture through interviews and cinematic visuals, and I wanted to bring that same feeling to a fictional, unbuilt project through renderings.
Everything you see in terms of architectural video was created with D5 Render, then enhanced with sound design, video editing, and color grading. If you’ve ever wanted to know how to push your video presentations to a whole new level, this is it. This was a huge challenge to pull off, but totally worth it! The result speaks for itself: a high-quality 4K animation that really immerses the viewer in the design.
Hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.
Thanks to D5 Render for sponsoring this video and supporting Upstairs!

Architectural portfolios are more than just documents, they're a reflection of your creativity and professionalism. In this video, I take on the challenge of designing 3 unique portfolio styles for the same project, sharing practical tips on layout, image selection, and using InDesign effectively. Whether you're an architecture student or a professional, this video will inspire you to rethink and refine your portfolio to truly stand out.
The project featured in this video is a competition entry for a national school competition in Brazil. It was designed by the firm Saboia+Ruiz, where I contributed as part of the team, focusing on design, visual representation, and image visualization.

Searching for references and inspiration is a huge part of the visualization process, no matter if you’re just starting out or have been at it for years. In this video, I’m sharing 23 of my favorite architectural visualization studios that you can learn from. I’ve grouped them into three categories, (but it’s not about putting them into boxes), it’s more my way of making it easier for you to find what inspires you.
Whether you’re looking to improve your own workflow or just need some inspiration, these studios are worth checking out. If I missed any of your favorites, be sure to let me know in the comments!

The old scatter tool was really bad, and every time I had to use it, it was a pain! I would watch Blender tutorials see the whole scatter with nodes being so powerful, and only wish something like this existed either on Lumion or D5.
But now with the new 2.7 version, we've got this amazing tool to create complex environments in a more procedural way.

In this video, we're exploring 3 different axonometric styles! I used a combination of Illustrator, Photoshop, and Vray to get these results. The modeling part was done in Sketchup because the idea was to have just a fairly basic 3d model. But if this was a real project workflow, I'd probably have worked in Archicad and then exported the base files from there. The rendering step was done using Vray because it's a very flexible engine, but the rendering Style can also be achieved with other engines (even real-time).

We're well aware of the current AI hype and how it has the potential to reshape the Architecture Practice. It can be both exciting and frustrating, given the uncertainties it brings. However, it's important to differentiate between the hype and the actual developments happening in the field.
In this conversation, we chat with Olly Thomas, the Design Specialist Manager at BIG London, who offers a firsthand look at these changes. You'll come to realize that things are not always as they seem. This discussion promises to alter your perspective on the current state of architecture and AI.

This video is a conversation I wish I had had with myself back when I started Architecture School. From insane deadlines and a toxic culture to a huge disparity between what is taught in schools and what is expected from you as a professional.
The reality is that as architecture students, you don't know anything, but you think you do. And you think those 5-7 years are your shot of making it happen for you. Turns out, a career is a lot more than these first steps in your journey.
I hope this video helps someone! In all honesty, it could be a 2-hour long podcast about this topic, so use the comment section to also help your peers.

It's a hybrid course taught in Portuguese and based in São Paulo, but is often lectured in Spanish and sometimes in English depending on the bimester curator.

In this video, you'll learn about a handy trick that I use to fix things in a render during post-production. Oftentimes it's quicker to do it in Photoshop than go back to the render engine.
Learning visualization also comes down to learning these small moves. So that you have a handful of skills to work around any challenges.

I'm finally testing Twinmotion! With this new update that added HDRI and Path Tracer, I was really excited to get my hands on this real-time renderer. We have so many options out there at the moment, so you need to take into account all the features these renderers have to choose which one you'll use as your main render engine.
In this video, I'm giving you all my impressions on Twinmotion, and it was my first time using it!
Let me know in the comments what you think about the new update on Twinmotion. And also, what render engine do you currently use?
The project is from Iná Arquitetura. You can find them on Instagram here:

Learn in this video how to quickly create a complex master plan using a Google Earth image and a base file.
All the digitally produced images/renderings were done using the ConceptD 7 Ezel from @ConceptDCreator.
If you need to download a base map and there’s no urban department on your contact list. Take a look at this website:
cadmapper.com
Also, check the comment section because other people may have different options to download detailed city bases.
