I'm using an experimental build of Eden which isn't very stable but should give the Elite the best chance of any emulator so far. I'm using the Retroid Pocket 5 as the Snapdragon 865 device, the Odin 2 Portal as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 device and the Samsung Fold 7 as the Snapdragon 8 Elite device. If I were to do this again I'd use a more stable release for the 865 and 8 Gen 2 so we can see the best they can get. This is the Data Frog PS10 - a smart photo frame that also doubles as a retro gaming console! These days I'm on the lookout for products that are a little different compared to the regular handhelds so this really caught my eye. Even just using it as a smart photo frame is really nice as you can send photos over from your phone and display them on the wall/table/throne while also getting some nice little info like the time and weather. So it can function as a nice little desk gadget even without the gaming capabilities.When switched into game mode, it transforms into a little retro gaming TV. While it's not going to blow away any of your real consoles, handhelds, or even phone, it's nice to have a little tabletop gaming TV if you wannna just knock out a few rounds of Sonic, Mario, or Bomberman. This is a product that is definitely niche. A good quality handheld is going to be better overall, and this certainly isn't a replacement for one, but it's something fun that could be a good gift for people within this niche, a nice little extra device to add to your collection, or a present for your Nan to have photos of the family on the table. Audio and Charging FIXES ✅ Ryan Retro 2025-06-24 | Hello everyone, in this video we are looking at the brand new update for the Retroid Pocket 5 which will fix some of the biggest issues the device has had since it was released! One of the main talking points since the release of the handheld has been the audio quality. I've posted 2 videos of how to fix it before but Retroid has been working with the creator of that fix and implemented their own fix directly into an update! There have also been reports of swollen batteries when charging the RP5 with high-speed chargers. This new update may also help there as the charging voltage has been slightly adjusted.
