007: The World Is Not Enough N64 - Early Prototype Build (UltraHDMI) @Graslu00

Graslu00 This is an incredibly early development version of TWINE N64, most of the maps aren't here, there's no voice lines and gameplay changes a lot. You can get a copy of this here - twitter.com/forestillusion/status/1308257315615772673

I show everything I could find in the copy. The only true playable levels are the first two, while Caviar seems to be half finished. The rest are just empty levels, probably meant to showcase the engine and planned levels. The multiplayer features only one map, the extra modes don't work except King Of The Hill, which just makes the center area give points to anyone who's there, so it wasn't worth showing. It surprisingly features many characters, some seen in final game. Like the beloved Bathing Man.

It tends to crash frequently, and it's possible to fall through geometry even on the "finished" levels as well. Thankfully I found a way to teleport back into the level and get to otherwise impossible to access areas as well - connecting a controller to port 4 allows for third person, camera movement, and to teleport to different preset spots on maps. This was I was able to access the otherwise impossible to access submarine, and showcase more of the Street Chase level, which surprisingly includes a lot of the final geometry from the release. At the end of the video I show some gameplay in "third person", which unsurprisingly, it's too hard to aim with and basically unplayable.

Multiplayer is unstable and you can't pull out a gun after dying, which caused the game to crash on all my attempts. All the options to enable or disable guns are also placeholders and doesn't make them spawn, crates always include the AK, and you always spawn with the pistol and rifle.

And yes, this whole demo features only one 17 second track that loops all the time. Enjoy!

GoldenEye X - Singleplayer Preview Livestream

Graslu00 2023-05-26 | Perfect Dark longplay with the music disabled so it's possible to appreciate all the care that went into the ambient sounds. The game can feel completely different this way and that's something I really enjoy. Some levels have much better ambience than others however, and the contrast between them sometimes may be jarring - but I think overall it's really something worth appreciating. Even when a level has no background noise the gameplay itself creates it with footsteps, bullet casings, broken lights and so on.

All the levels are seamlessly edited together from cutscene to cutscene. Bonus levels not included because in the context of this video, they don't offer anything new and are just less polished. For example, in Mr. Blonde's Revenge the ambience sounds won't play until you reach the rooftop, Maian SOS is fine, and then WAR! is kind of a boring bonus level.

Cutscenes are modded to remove the music, as by default lowering the music slider won't affect cutscenes. This is because the sound effects and music are included in the same .midi file for them.

Perfect Dark N64 - 100% Livestream - PC Mouse & Keyboard (NEW UPDATE)

Graslu00 2023-05-20 | Two weeks ago a new update was released for 1964 GEPD Edition that *greatly* benefits Perfect Dark! The update makes 60FPS way more stable than before and also gets rid of the low quality LOD models, so the high res ones are always used instead. Back then, PD would lock itself to 30FPS on heavy scenes or when loading new areas / effects. This shouldn't happen any more thanks to the hack being rewritten on this new update.

GoldenEye 007 N64 - Agent RTA Speedruns - Livestream

Graslu00 2023-05-11 | This is my second DLTK completion, lowered from 4:29 on the stream from last week. I had a bad mine throw that delayed my time since I had to deal with two extra guards, and a slow bottling room as I was cautious of about the two guards on the room next to it coming down but I should've just rushed it instead. The start wasn't great either but I'll take it.

My goal is to get below 2:05, ideally somewhere around 1:50 if possible but we'll see! I'm happy with this result for now.

GoldenEye 007 N64 - Agent Speedrun 26:02.7

Graslu00 2023-05-10 | Last time I did an Agent speedrun was almost 6 years ago in a stream from 2017. This was a race against Pierre on my Discord which is why I continued even though Runway failed. Uploading this here because I'm streaming Agent speedruns in Friday, so I'll aim to beat my new PB of 26 minutes which shouldn't be hard considering all the fails here. Also ignore the splits - there's a few that are wrong and I didn't correct them. Still working on that.

There's no music because this was done after Facility DLTK practice, where I'm aiming to get a time below 2 minutes compared to the 4 minutes from the stream. Getting there!

GoldenEye 007 N64 - License To Kill - LTK Livestream (Part 2/2)

Graslu00 2023-05-06 | Continuing where we left it off last week, Train! Hoping to complete the whole game tonight, the remaining levels shouldn't be *too* bad after completing Surface I and Streets. The death counter has been reset for this session.

License To Kill is a community mode which consists on setting every setting on the 007 difficulty to the maximum except enemy health, which is set to 0%, replicating the multiplayer mode with the same name where everyone dies in one shot.

If you can't sit through a stream where we're stuck for over an hour on the first 10 seconds of a level, I recommend to skip this one.

GoldenEye 007 N64 - License To Kill - LTK Livestream (Part 1/2)

Graslu00 2023-05-01 | After pretty much doing every challenge the game has to offer it's finally time to give a try to one of the hardest challenges in the vanilla game, License To Kill.

License To Kill is a community mode which consists on setting every setting on the 007 difficulty to the maximum except enemy health, which is set to 0%, replicating the multiplayer mode with the same name where everyone dies in one shot.

I aim to complete at least the first five levels during this livestream, and will keep going until I'm tired or if we hit 6 hours of stream. License To Kill relies a lot on quick reflexes, game knowledge and of course - luck. I'll die *a lot* by things I cannot control, specially on maps like Surface, Depot or Jungle where visibility is limited and AI can hit you even if you don't see them.

If you can't sit through a stream where we're stuck for over an hour on the first 10 seconds of a level, I recommend to skip this one.

Perfect Dark N64 - Chicago Soundscapes

Graslu00 2023-04-25 | Last year I made a video showcasing some of the soundscapes and ambience sounds in Perfect Dark, often drowned by the amazing soundtrack - but now I'm going further and modding the game to fully remove all tracks including cutscenes, and other HUD elements like pickups, objective completions, etc... I also adjusted some sounds like the ammo pickup so it's reduced, and muted the target reticle when it's above an enemy or friend.

The mod is still WIP and there's some issues that I'm looking to polish. Wreck made the mod to disable the HUD overlays, and with the help of SRGn64 I was able to remove the music in cutscenes which are included in the midi itself!

Perfect Dark N64 - Modern controllers on N64 (BlueRetro / RetroRosetta)

Graslu00 2023-04-22 | Last week I used this device to play GoldenEye with the Xbox controller, now it's time to do Perfect Dark! For those that missed it last week, RetroRosetta / BlueRetro is a device that allows you to use pretty much any bluetooth controller on classic systems. Allows for custom layouts, so I'm using one for the 2.4 control scheme in Perfect Dark, taking full advantage of modern twin-sticks.

GoldenEye 007 N64 - Modern controllers on N64 (BlueRetro / RetroRosetta)

Graslu00 2023-04-17 | With the use of BlueRretro you can connect any Bluetooth controller through it like PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, 8BitDo.... RetroRosetta comes with a bunch of presets pre-installed which you can use to modify to your liking for different games, and can detect GameID's automatically to load said presets. This device was kindly donated to me by GrechTech, who is also the creator of these.

BlueRetro is an open source project and there are many alternatives to this product - however I can only speak about this one as it's the only I own. While they all work basically the same, RetroRosetta comes pre-configured for N64 and other systems with different layouts already configured. On this livestream I'll review it as I play GoldenEye on 00 Agent.

GoldenEye 007 N64 - VeteranEye - 00 Agent

Graslu00 2023-04-10 | VeteranEye is an almost finished challenge mod by @007spudmanSpudsArmy, you can download the old beta from 2022 here: http://n64vault.com/ge-misc:veteraneye - but keep in mind it's almost completely different to what you'll be seeing here. It aims to increase the difficulty of the base game by changing the weapons, enemy placement, and so on. Nothing too crazy like Project Nesquik however.

GoldenEye 007 XBLA on Xbox One / Series RETAIL MODE (NOT WORKING)

Graslu00 2023-03-27 | Microsoft shut down all the retail emulators including Xenia for the foreseeable future. This means even if you already have the app installed it'll tell you it violates the policies so it won't launch. Don't worry, your account is safe. It is still possible to get the emulators through developer mode. I'll make a dev mode guide soon.

Drop in LocalState/Content with a FTP client on retail mode. You can find FTP clients on the Emulation Hub as well. I recommend FileZilla on PC.

POSSIBLE ISSUES:
► Can't see the games on your USB:
- Make sure you did the format properly with the Xbox Media USB tool.
► The screen is zoomed in:
- Set the Xbox display resolution to 1080p.
► Crashing at System Link menu:
- Neither Xbox Live nor System Link is supported, only Local play is possible on Xenia.
► Stuttering:
- As explained in the video you have to play for a few minutes for all the shaders to compile. After that it'll be smooth. Keep in mind older Xbox models will have random slowdowns in some spots however.
► The Community Edition Updater won't open:
- Make sure you're on a 64bit system.
► The Community Edition Updater won't patch the game:
- Make sure you're using the correct build as shown in the video.
► The Discord server don't have links:
- This happens very often. You'll have to wait until they're re-uploaded, you can assign yourself a role to get notified when this happens. It's all explained on their Discord server.

GoldenEye 007 Facility - Maximum Action

Maximum Action is an early access game that features some GoldenEye map ports as mods available on the Steam Workshop. Facility is the first and only (for now) that is fully playable as a singleplayer map, as well as featuring the "endless" mode at the end.

And finally, another of the easiest cheats in the game. Probably to compensate for all the previous ones, as this requires beating the full game on 00 Agent already.

GoldenEye 007 Enhanced - Preview Livestream

Graslu00 2023-03-04 | Streaming a preview of my "GoldenEye Enhanced" mod, which aims to improve and adapt the default game to modern emulators. It's a really simple mod on its own so far, all it does is:

- Unlimited render distances while keeping the original aesthetics
- Some levels have less fog, as long as it does not affect gameplay
- Bodies won't disappear until you move away
- Other misc. changes

Thanks to Carnivorous for the Footsteps patch that adds many of these QOL improvements, on top of that, the emulator branch which is also made by him includes:

- High quality text & HUD
- 60FPS support
- Mouse & keyboard support
- Increased FOV
- Custom aspect ratios (ultrawide support)

In the future I'd like adding new things such as increased difficulty to adapt to mouse & keyboard controls, increasing the body despawn time after making sure that they can't block doors, and some small map geometry changes. An initial release should be available soon-ish. Also huge thanks to HackBond for helping out on the N64Vault server!

GoldenEye 007 Xbox - The Art of Boom Achievement

Graslu00 2023-03-02 | Here's how to unlock the "The Art of Boom" achievement on the Xbox version of GoldenEye. You must complete Surface 1 Secret Agent under 3:30. Not hard, just strafe run to each hut and use the Grenade Launcher to open the locks at the end. Aim a little lower than I did though so you get all 4 locks. On N64, you were able to skip the ladder but they don't allow leaning now so it's not possible. Damn Xbox controls.

GoldenEye 007 Xbox - Splash Damage Achievement

Graslu00 2023-03-01 | Here's how to unlock the "Splash Damage" achievement on the Xbox version of GoldenEye. You must complete Dam Secret Agent under 2:40. Not too hard, but I can see how some people may be a bit tight on time for this one. If you get the cutscene at the start that shows the guard opening / closing the automatic doors, you'll lose some time. So I'd recommend restarting until you get any other one so you can have both opened as shown in this video. Other than that, just run for the alarms!

GoldenEye 007 Xbox - Who Needs Stealth? Achievement

Graslu00 2023-02-28 | Here's how to unlock the "Who Needs Stealth?" achievement on the Xbox version of GoldenEye. You must complete Bunker 1 00 Agent under 4:00. I've seen some people say this one is hard but I honestly don't see the difficulty. Bunker is a pretty short level by itself, and you can easily deal with the guards through the doors, or waiting in the corners.

Graslu00 2023-02-27 | Here's how to unlock the "Screen Cheater!" achievement on the Xbox version of GoldenEye. You must complete Frigate Secret Agent under 4:30. Take this route and you should have no problem getting this cheat. Very easy. You'll have to wait a bit at the end for the hostages but that's it.

GoldenEye 007 N64 - Taser Only Livestream

GoldenEye 007 Xbox - So Much Drama! Achievement

Graslu00 2023-02-23 | Here's how to unlock the "So Much Drama!" achievement on the Xbox version of GoldenEye. You must complete Depot Secret Agent under 1:40. Pretty much all the cheats left to upload are really simple. This one may take some people a few tries, but if you don't spend too much time early on, you should be good. You can also just ignore the turret, get the key, destroy the computers and get out. Health shouldn't be too concerning here.

Make sure to set the movement to your D-Pad, otherwise you'll be running slowly all the time. The left stick is not good at all for strafe running: youtu.be/kMRPI3Go5qY

GoldenEye 007 Xbox - Target Acquired! Achievement

Graslu00 2023-02-23 | Here's how to unlock the "Target Acquired!" achievement on the Xbox version of GoldenEye. You must complete Bunker II Agent under 1:30. As usual, Agent cheats being easy (except Runway). Skip the intro cutscenes and quickly get out of the jail so you can catch the door open and the keycard guard close to the VHS. Then all you have to do is just run outside.

Graslu00 2023-02-21 | Here's how to unlock the "Double-Cut" achievement on the Xbox version of GoldenEye. You must complete Jungle Agent under 3:45. Another easy cheat. Not much to explain here, obviously you don't need to run as I do here. To explode the mines without switching to the watch, press A+Y or A+RB on Xbox. A+B on N64/Switch.
