SoulRed12Here's a little educational bonus to my Ninja Gaiden Let's Play. If you've ever wanted to beat this part of Stage 6-2 reliably, just follow this guide. It may have already been found, but I discovered this on my own while playing through the game for my LP and it just takes following a few steps (and a little practice, of course):
1. Climb up the ladder, hop off, and then on top of the block with the ladder. Then hop onto the first green block. (Difficulty: 0/5) 2. Hop onto the second green block as the enemy is walking toward you, such that you can safely slash him without moving too far forward (which will spawn more enemies); or just slash him from the rightmost edge of the first block (Difficulty: 1/5) 3. Move to the middle of the block. An enemy should jump over from the left as a bat appears on the right. Simply jump over them and move slightly to the right to avoid respawning them. (Difficulty: 2/5) 4. A bird will spawn along with a bat. Hop over the bird and slash it and the bat at the same time. You might get hit here, but since both enemies will be coming at you from the right (assuming you hopped over the bird once) you should only be knocked left. Don't panic and hop over the pit to the next longer block, but don't continue forward. (Difficulty: 3.5/5) 5. A cross-throwing enemy should spawn on the next, smaller block. SLOWLY inch forward until he glitches himself off the right side of the screen, but don't move any further. (Difficulty: 0/5) 6. Pause the game and read this entire instruction before progressing. A bird will spawn when you touch the right edge of the platform you're on. So run up to the edge, then DUCK until the bird flies right over you. Once it does, don't hesitate-hop to the right onto the empty platform, jump to reach the next one and then slash at the height of your jump because another jumping enemy will leap into your trajectory. (Difficulty: 5/5) 7. Then hop onto the ladder and you're home free! Now try not to die in the next room! :3

Hearthstone (League of Explorers)SoulRed122015-12-14 | Aviana to Innervate to Golden Monkey to two random legendaries. Good times. (If you're in a hurry, the magic happens at 7:00.)
Disclaimer: Yes, this is a gimmicky and somewhat inconsistent deck. But, it's in its early stages. Even if it isn't top tier, it's super fun when you get the combo, so I'm going to keep working on it. Also, I'm aware I make some mistakes in this video, so if that kind of thing ticks you off you may want to stay away.
Also, I did come up with this deck myself. It may or may not already exist somewhere else, but I didn't copy it from anything.
Strategy: The deck attempts to balance card draw (to get through to the Monkey, and also to draw Aviana) with healing and control. Survive to late game, and if the board is reasonably clear turn 10+ and you have the combo (Aviana, Innervate, Monkey), play it and overwhelm the opponent. (Aviana to Monkey can also work if necessary, because Monkey is a 6/6 taunt.)
(I am also considering adding Kel'Thuzad to this deck, as playing Avianna, Innervate, KT, Monkey, Legendary, sounds pretty darn strong. Just need to find him a spot.)
Don't take too much damage too quickly, but at the same time don't be afraid to exchange health for card draw because you need to get through the deck and there's ample healing.
Mulch was the most recent addition, as an emergency measure for high-health things like Ysera. If you use it on that kind of card, most of the time Mulch will give the opponent something much worse.
So far keeping Elise in the mulligan seems to be a good idea, as well as Raven Idol or any of the 2 drops.
There's also a mini-combo in this deck with Savage Combatant + Finley. Hero Power for 3 attack, then get another HP with Finley, then HP again for 5 attack (plus the effect of your new HP).
If anyone has suggestions for improvements to the deck I'm all ears! Or try it yourself and let me know how it goes.
I tried to make this video more interesting than just raw gameplay with things like the combo notes. Thanks for checking it out and enjoy! (Special thanks below!) Let me know what you thought. Rules of the run are at the start of the video.
Yes, it's long, but the table of contents below will let you watch some, come back, and quickly find where you were. Also, there are some annotations in the video to skip uninteresting parts. (At the resistance base and in Volteel's stage, when gathering the data.)
By the way, this is NOT a TAS speedrun! (It's not much of a speedrun at all honestly.) This was all just me playing the game, with no help other than pre-level save states (i.e., saved just after the operator says "transfer") to make retrying faster. I had to practice the levels, learn strategies, and carry them out.
Also, I did screw up a lot (primarily by taking a bit too much damage) and I simply edited out those failed attempts. The first person who tells me to go back and 100-point the game in a single run from start to finish gets a rubber mallet to the head. ಠ╭╮ಠ I did what I set out to do.
Lastly, sorry for the couple of editing mistakes (and misspelling Tetrista's name...). I have no idea how that friggin text got so high up. You'll know what I mean lol.

This is the first thing that came out of that. Enjoy! (And don't worry, this isn't the "thing" my recent update video mentioned I was planning on doing.)
I debated saving this for a 200 Subs special, but I just couldn't wait to post it! Also, Pokemon Showdown's rollout animation was lame, so I made my own :D
Some strategy thoughts: -Wailord actually has identical base attack and special attack stats. So I maxed out attack, and gave him a choice band. But, rollout starts out very weak so I needed to get him at +6 Attack.
-The Victini/Dugtrio combo was meant to target and KO a potentially problematic pokemon, such as Lucario who would 4x resist rollout or pokemon who maybe only resist it 2x but that have high defense like Conkeldurr. Here the duet didn't work out as planned, but even doing what they did was important. Victini also had max HP and final gambit just in case.
-Ingrain was also really important, because otherwise Wailord would have been losing HP from the hail.
-I didn't get to use Mew, but it had amnesia and also taunt so I could switch into it if a potential phazer came in as I baton passed.Adam Liberates Nebula Area 5 (Megaman Battle Network 5 Team Protoman) Part 3SoulRed122013-04-11 | I bet you've just been on the edge of your seat to find out what I got from that bonus panel. Anyway, here's the finale.Adam Liberates Nebula Area 5 (Megaman Battle Network 5 Team Protoman) Part 2SoulRed122013-04-10 | Here's part 2. You can probably tell that I had no idea while doing this that I had no idea the Cosmoman chip doesn't hit the enemy's back column =pAdam Liberates Nebula Area 5 (Megaman Battle Network 5 Team Protoman) Part 1SoulRed122013-04-09 | In this video (and the next two) I liberate Nebula Area 5 and get the top bonus prize of Anubis A.
So a while back someone was hating on BN5 because it was unreasonably hard due to poor chip options. While I generally agree that BN5's chip options weren't the greatest (S code folder anyone?), I decided to take up the challenge and show Nebula Area 5, the hardest liberation mission in the game, wasn't really all that bad.
The virus battles were difficult, but you get the hang of it pretty quick. The hardest part was learning to not rush, since the turns they give is actually more than enough (14 if you want the top reward). When I rushed the first few attempts, I took on too many difficult battles with poor characters for the particular battle (e.g., Meddy while surrounded), which led to characters being paralyzed too many times. When I realized I had some time to take, I took it a little easier and got the hang of it.
I screwed up a few times in this run, but not enough to ruin it. I split it into 3 parts because it was 45 minutes whole =p
Oh yeah, I also didn't use any S chips, or, like the 10-second deletion video, any Darkchips or Bass Chips. Or giga chips for that matter, though I did actually have one in my folder.
Just a bit about my overall strategy. Meddy was the weak link of the team, of course, so I tried to only use her for straightforward battles, not for disadvantage and DEFINITELY not for surrounded. Protoman is the best for surrounded and Megaman is the best for disadvantage with Magnetman coming in second place there as those two are the only ones whose charge shots reach the back row. Gyro and Magnet are generally somewhere in the middle, with Gyro being potentially the best for normal battles and Magnet being all-around decent at any battle. Gyro is best for Brutes, and ties with Magnet for Bladias though Magnet of course wins for Blizzardman. Proto and Mega are both fine for Hawks.Battle Network 5 TP Bosses Deleted in Under 10 Seconds (no Chaos Unison or Bass Chip)SoulRed122013-03-29 | Behold, the power of GyroSoul! (and a few other folders I put together for certain bosses)
This video is mainly to show that it's possible to 10-second-delete all the bosses of Megaman Battle Network 5 Team PROTOMAN, without using either Chaos Unison or a Bass chip (or any Giga chip, for that matter).
Yes, each boss took me multiple tries to get it just right, and yes, many of the retries were simply due to a poor initial cust screen (which can happen for any folder). The point of this video is to show that it's possible and (since there are probably other videos out there like this) that I can personally do it. Now that I have all the SP chips, next up for recording is Nebula Area 5!
NC: Super Armor, Cust+2, Cust+1, Undershirt, ChargeMAX, Attack+1, Speed+1
General thoughts: For this video I abused GyroSoul's propeller ability. When you use a wind chip, Mega's propeller starts spinning, and then the next wind or null chip you use is doubled in power. Some other things I utilized here:
-Super Armor, to ease targeting -SuperVulcan, because it has 12 hits and therefore multiplies boosts by 12 -AirShot, because it is a really quick attack that spins the propellor -Tornado, because it has 8 hits, is a wind chip, and its power is doubled when it hits a sea panel -SeaSeed, to create sea panels to combo with tornado -Timpani, to ease targeting -BigNoise, because it is an S program advance, does a good chunk of damage (at least 20% of bosses HP) and eases targeting with its paralysis
Wood chips for Cloud/MagnetMan, elec chips (and MagnetSoul!) for BlizzardMan.

This, ladies and gents, is what I've been preparing since last Christmas: a brand new arrangement of Armored Armadillo's stage (Megaman X) on the piano, written by me. (The arrangement is written by me, not the original song...) And best of all...SHEET MUSIC!!!
[Note: You are free to make your own version of the song with this sheet music, and you are free to adapt this sheet music in any way you'd like. But if you do, please just put my name somewhere in your video description (e.g. "this is an adaptation of soulred12's arrangement"). Thanks!]
Normally it wouldn't take this long to learn a piece, but due to school and other obligations there were periods of time that I couldn't play, causing me to have to relearn stuff and re-strengthen my left hand for those fast repetitive parts.
I wrote and learned this because I felt like the last one, though it got very positive feedback, was a little haphazard, especially with the left hand. I think this one is a lot better-sounding, with a much better left-hand part especially not to mention corrected notes and more solid playing on my part.
I will be posting up a video tutorial for this piece soon. ^_^
Once again, happy 4th, and thanks to my 50+ subscribers:

This video of course is a piano cover of the Brink of Time theme (where you meet the old man that just seems to stand there doing nothing...I mean, it's the end of time, but he's got to have some sort of hobby...right?)
Not sure what else to say about this, except that I'll be trying my digital camera to record myself playing the piano for the next few videos instead of using my old camcorder. I'm really hoping it gets better quality than this. =/
Enjoy!
(also, the piano-playing video formerly known as Christmas plan A is still in the works, but...ya know...not done yet, 'n' stuff)SRPM #8: Adam Plays Super Mario Bros Water ThemeSoulRed122010-12-27 | The Water level theme from the original Super Mario Bros for the NES...this is a nice piece, isn't it? Now if only I had a camcorder that wasn't from four years ago so I could record with better audio quality .__. But, to be fair, it does it's job. And it let me finally get another piano video up!
More apologies for not being able to get out "Plan A" for Christmas. I really wanted to do so but it's a tricky piano piece that I just haven't gotten down yet. But, when I am able to play it well enough and upload it, something special will be with it so keep an eye out!SRPM #7: Adam Plays Secret of the ForestSoulRed122010-06-13 | Finally I have another piano piece ready to upload! It's been a while, but mainly due to school.
Anyways, here's Secret of the Forest for y'all. Yes, it's from the Chrono Trigger soundtrack, which contains some of my favorite soundtrack music of all time.
Enjoy!
Also, I finally made it to 25 subscribers. I want to thank all of you with a special video, but first I have to figure out what that's gonna be! So in the meantime, I'll list you all here:
Thank you all!SRCM #3: Dark Lich Returns (Secret of Mana The Oracle Remix)SoulRed122010-02-20 | Finally! This one took me a while but just by the nature of the song it was fun to do. It's a cover of the Dark Lich battle, also called "The Oracle", from Secret of Mana. Honestly, I've never played Secret of Mana, but I wanted a challenge and when I heard this song on youtube I just HAD to cover it. It doesn't mimic the actual song exactly, that is, there are some nuances, but I wasn't going for a perfect replica in the first place so yeah =p
Note: The track's also on newgrounds, where you can rate/review it AND download the mp3 file.
Anyways, hope you enjoy it, and thanks for listening!
Also, don't forget to check out the progress of Megaman Battle Network Chrono X, the awesome megaman battle network fangame for which I'm writing the music.
Official forums: http://z3.invisionfree.com/bn7projectSRCM #2: Alpha Returns (Megaman Battle Network 3 Remix)SoulRed122010-01-08 | Hooray! I finally finished my next Battle Network cover. It's a remix of the...*fanfare*...Alpha Fight music from Battle Network 3! One of my favorite themes in all the battle network games.
It took me quite a while, but I'm very happy with how it turned out. Created on a mac using Garageband. Let me know what you think of it!
Note, this track is also on newgrounds where you can rate/review it AND download the mp3 file.
Credit for the original song (of which this is a cover) goes to Y. Aoki.SRPM #6: Adam Plays Yoshis Island CastleSoulRed122009-11-07 | Here's another piano cover of a the castle theme on Yoshi's Island. It's quite a good arrangement if I do say so myself, though in this case I did find and use sheet music. The second repetition (where it is slightly faster and then the right hand changes to octaves), however, was my own idea.
If you want the sheet music, just google it, that's what I did. You'll find it eventually.
Let me know what you think. ^_^SRPM #5: Adam Plays Mac Vs. PCSoulRed122009-11-07 | I saw one of these commercials on the TV today and I decided that I wanted to learn it and then play it for the people of youtube. ^_^ It's the Mac vs. PC song. Or the Get a Mac song, or the Mac and PC song. Whatever you'd like to call it.
It really wasn't that difficult to learn. I recorded this take about 45 minutes after I started learning it (from ear); once I realized it was all in the key of F, it took off from there.
Let me know what you think, and more on the way.
EDIT: Again, I didn't use sheet music, but here are the basic keys I played. It's all in the key of F:
Left hand: F4, C5, A5, C5, C4, Bb5, A5, continuously.
Right hand: C6, A6, A6, G5, A6, F5, on repeat add E5, G5.
Final chord: F 1st inversion both hands (A, C, F)
From there, just listen to the song for the rhythm, it shouldn't be too difficult. If you really need a sheet, try google, I'm sure you'll find it somewhere. You can also watch the video and just play the keys I play.
Maybe I'll make a tutorial video? Would you guys like that?SROM #3: FortissimoSoulRed122009-10-21 | Yet more original music written by yours truly. This one was sort of an experiment to see if I could write something with harder, darker, and more intense piano. What I got was a (admittedly, quite short) piano duet piece which does seem to accomplish those goals.
Let me know what your thoughts are, and more on the way!SROM #2: Aquarctic TundreepSoulRed122009-10-16 | Yet more original music. "Aquarctic Tundreep." You may be wondering about that title; well when I was writing the piece I had in mind an aquatic theme. However, when the piece got fleshed out, I found it reminded me also of a snowy tundra; "Aquatic deep" + "Arctic tundra" = Aquarctic Tundreep. Hehe.
Still more to upload, including more videos of me playing the piano. I've got a number of songs I'm practicing, so I'll record and upload them when I've finished learning them.
Anyway, let me know what you guys think of this piece. Rate, comment, etc. Thanks!SROM #1: Tribal FantasiesSoulRed122009-10-16 | An original piece written entirely by me. I said I was going to upload some original stuff after midterms ended; well they ended yesterday, and here it is.
This one's called "Tribal Fantasies", because the drum beat combined with the flute reminds me of a calm, rainy forest scene set in a tribal village. Let me know comments, complaints, etc., whatever you have to say.
I've got quite a bit more to upload, I just have to make the video files.SRCM #1: Nebula Gray Returns (Megaman Battle Network 5 Remix)SoulRed122009-10-13 | I've finally decided to get back into the Youtube game and upload a new video. This time around for all you video gamers, it's a cover of the Nebula Gray boss fight music from Megaman Battle Network 5 (Rockman exe 5).
This time, though, instead of a video of myself playing the piano (which I still plan to do in the future) I've decided to upload some of my own music.
This isn't technically my own music, though it is a cover which I wrote of a piece originally written by A. Kaida. I do have some original stuff I plan to upload once I get a break from midterms.
Note: This track's also on Newgrounds, where you can rate/review it AND download the mp3 file.
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/258313SRPM #4: Adam Plays X1 Armored ArmadilloSoulRed122008-12-01 | Yet another piece from Megaman X. I love the music in that game and I'm trying to make piano versions of each song...or at least whichever songs I can do. This time around it's Armored Armadillo's stage theme. (thanks to omarant for first giving me the idea to try this one)
This piece was pretty darn hard to get down, especially with the rock-ish bass in the left hand. Note once again that I didn't do an exact replica of the song; I play as if I were performing, so the piece sounds slightly different from the original. Kinda turned out a little jazzy IMO.
More from Megaman X is on its way.SRPM #3: Adam Plays X1 Sigma 2ndSoulRed122008-10-19 | Yes my friends, this is from a video game. Megaman X1 if you happen to be completely clueless.
Note that whenever I play video game music, it's usually going to be an arranged version similar to but not exactly like the original. I play as if I were performing, and since performances can't be looped like regular game music, there are obviously going to be a few minor differences.
Anyways, enjoy this one. I've got more on the way.SRPM #2: Adam Plays Invention #8SoulRed122008-10-18 | Here's another classical (actually, baroque =p) piece played by me on the piano. Bach's inventions were some of the hardest pieces to play due to their requirements that each hand be essentially independent from the other. This one wasn't exactly easy, but not as horrible as some of the others.SRPM #1: Adam Plays Kabalevskys ToccataSoulRed122008-10-13 | I thought I'd play some piano for y'all. Sorry for the sound clipping, I'm still messing with my camcorder. Anyways this one's Kabalevsky's Toccata, or Rondo #4. Enjoy.
