And this theme is a big part of the reason why. Of course, the puntable sheep that litter the stage is also a big plus.
It was really challenging trying to emulate the sound of a yodeling voice on the guitar. I tried to achieve it by using a lot of hammer-ons and pull-offs. I also tried to do a "yee-haw" type of sound somewhere in the middle, and a "Yodel-Ay-Hee-Hoo" kind of thing towards the end (can you spot them?). I was really trying to push the vocal imitation in my guitar-playing here, and I can only hope that it all somehow came through and that I am doing the original song justice. 😅
#acoustic #instrumental #musicBe Prepared - Lion King | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2024-02-12 | Story time.
This arrangement started out as a joke. See, there's a weekly open mic that I go to. And I happen to play disney songs there sometimes. When the "what disney song should Anton do next?" conversation came up, someone jokingly suggested that I learn how to play "Be Prepared" from Lion King. We both just kinda laughed it off because we thought it's an absolutely weird and unhinged thing to try to play instrumentally. I don't think that person actually expected me to learn the song.
And yet, here we are.
#acoustic #music #disneyLiberation (Tekken 8 Main Menu Theme) | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2024-01-28 | The hype is real, y'all. There's nothing quite like listening to this theme while Kazuya stares at you menacingly in the Tekken 8 main menu. 👌
#acoustic #instrumental #musicGood Omens Opening Title - David Arnold | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2024-01-15 | So I'm like SUPER late to the party, but I just recently finished watching Good Omens. Loved every bit of it. And the music in the opening sequence is just too damn good. I'm a sucker for a good waltz, and this theme absolutely delivers. So naturally, the next logical step was to do a fingerstyle cover of it. Hope you like it!
I do apologize for the string buzz towards the end. I tuned the strings down a half-step and my guitar was not happy about it. 😕
#acoustic #music #instrumentalJingle Bells (2023) | Fingerstyle Guitar CoverAnton Betita2023-12-20 | Five years ago, I uploaded a Tommy Emmanuel-inspired cover of Jingle Bells. After having spent as many holiday seasons re-playing and re-learning the song, the arrangement has inevitably changed and evolved. I figured it was time to do an updated version for this holiday season. I hope you like it!
#acoustic #instrumental #christmasIts Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas | Fingerstyle Guitar CoverAnton Betita2023-12-17 | It's that time of the year again. I have not uploaded a Christmas cover in five years. It was about time I got back into it. I hope you like it! And happy holidays!
#acoustic #instrumental #musicIf The World Was Ending - JP Saxe, Julia Michaels | Fingerstyle Guitar CoverAnton Betita2023-12-04 | I first heard this song in the form of a cover. I was intrigued by the lyrics, and I really liked the chord progression in the pre-chorus. It prompted me to look up the original song. One thing led to another and now I have an instrumental fingerstyle arrangement of it lol. Hope you like it!
#acoustic #instrumental #musicRiptide - Vance Joy | Fingerstyle Guitar CoverAnton Betita2023-11-19 | I started learning this song as just a background rhythm piece, meant to accompany a singer. But I had so much fun learning the song, I ended up making a full-on instrumental fingerstyle arrangement of it anyway. Here it is.
#acoustic #instrumental #musicMake You Feel My Love - Adele / Bob Dylan | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-10-18 | I will admit to not even knowing that this was originally a Bob Dylan song until just recently. When someone told me of that fun fact a few weeks ago, I got curious and started doing some research on the song. Next thing you know, I'm looking up the chords and learning how to play it. Before all that though, I always thought of "Make You Feel My Love" as an Adele song. And as such, my arrangement is very much inspired by her version. However, the key change that happens in the middle is inspired by a live fingerstyle performance of this song by Tommy Emmanuel.
I hope I was able to combine all those influences into something that is cohesive and enjoyable to listen to. 😊
#acoustic #instrumental #musicIn The Hall Of The Mountain King (2023) - Edvard Grieg | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-09-04 | Here's another updated arrangement of an old cover. "In the Hall of the Mountain King" is one of my go-to songs to practice and play at gigs and open mics. But the crazy nature of the piece (it gets faster and louder) makes it so that I never truly know if I'll be able to pull it off or if my performance will be a complete disaster. 🙃
#acoustic #instrumental #classicalmusicMoonfire Faire Theme - Final Fantasy XIV | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-08-21 | This is the theme that plays in most of the event-related areas during the annual Moonfire Faire celebration in FF14. It's probably known best for its association with the jumping puzzle known as the "Eorzean Nimble Warrior Course".
I've never beaten that puzzle.
Love the music though!
#acoustic #instrumental #finalfantasyPride of the Seas (2023 Version) Boralus Theme - World of Warcraft | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-07-27 | Even though I haven't played World of Warcraft for a few years now, some of its music has stuck with me. "Pride of the Seas" is still one of my go-to songs to play in my practice sessions. I love the sailor/pirate vibe it's got going on. It is, without a doubt, one of my favorite tracks from the entire WoW soundtrack.
When I uploaded my first cover of this piece in 2019, someone mentioned that they found it interesting that I had gone for a more modal sound, opting to use a Bm chord in the chorus instead of the B7 from the original song. They were right, I was using the Bm chord in the chorus, but uhh... it wasn't exactly an intentional change. It was a mistake. 😅
I had written down the wrong chord in my chord sheet and built the whole arrangement around that. When I went back to listen to the song and tried to play along to it, sure enough I realized that it didn't match - I HAD been playing the wrong chord and the wrong notes during that part. But I had already uploaded the video so there wasn't really a way to edit that cover without re-recording the whole thing. 🤦♂️
SO!
I have corrected said mistake for this video! It should be more accurate now. I think. I can never truly be sure because a lot of this is learned by ear with the help of chords I got from chordify.net, which isn't always 100% accurate so... 🤷♂️
#wow #battleforazeroth #bfaHere Without You (2023 Version) - 3 Doors Down | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-07-03 | This was one of the first few songs I learned specifically to practice fingerpicking. That was way back when I was still playing guitar as accompaniment to my singing, and not quite playing melodies on the instrument yet. I eventually learned how to play the full song in instrumental fingerstyle, and I uploaded a cover of it on my channel in 2016. The arrangement has evolved since then. So today, I bring you this new and updated version of my take on 3 Doors Down's "Here Without You".
#acoustic #instrumental #musicTantalus Theme (2023 Version) - Final Fantasy IX | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-06-14 | Back again with another re-recording! This time, I have an updated arrangement of the theme of the Tantalus from FF9. This was always one of my favorite tracks from the game, despite it not showing up very often. It has that sort of shady but playful feel to it, which is very appropriate for what the "Tantalus Theater Troupe" really is. Somehow, it also sounds really classy.
This is one of my go-to songs to play in open mics and gigs. Since I uploaded my first rendition of it in 2019, I have continued to practice it and the arrangement has evolved a bit. Hence, this upload. I hope you like it! 😃
#nobuouematsu #finalfantasy #acousticThe White Cloud In The Sky (Grillin Village) - Brave Fencer Musashi | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-05-24 | The more I think about it, the more I feel like Brave Fencer Musashi might be my favorite video game ever. Anyway, here's my take on "The White Cloud In The Sky", which is probably one of the most memorable tracks from the game's OST due to the sheer amount of time you spend in the town that it plays in: Grillin Village. This theme sounds and feels like home to me.
#acoustic #instrumental #videogamemusicCrossing Those Hills (2023 Version) - Final Fantasy IX | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-04-26 | Here's my updated rendition of the World Map Theme from FF9. The way I play the song hasn't really changed too much since my first upload from 2018. But I really wanted to do an updated recording for a few reasons. That old video had some lighting issues and the guitar I was using then had a thinner neck, which made some of the notes hard to play well when my fingers were all scrunched up together in a tight chord shape. I still have that guitar today and everytime I try to play this song on it, I still get the same problem. The newer guitar I'm using in this video has a wider nut width, which makes this song more comfortable to play. I hope you like it! 😁
EDIT: Here are the chords I used to make this arrangement. Thanks again to @farisfaikar_r for writing it down in the pinned comment on the old video!
Intro: C Bb C Bb C Bb C Bb
Verse: C Am F Em F C Dm G Em A Dm Fm C F C G C Am F Em F C Dm G Em A Dm Fm C F C C7
Chorus: F F G G Em Em A A Dm C Bb Gm Am F G
Verse: C Am F Em F C Dm G Em A Dm Fm C F C C7

Outro: C Am F Em F C Dm G Em A Dm Fm C F C C
#acoustic #nobuouematsu #instrumental #finalfantasySleepless City Treno (Ver2) - Final Fantasy IX | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-03-22 | Here's an updated rendition of an old video. It's a re-do of my cover of the FF9 track, "Sleepless City Treno", also known as "The City That Never Sleeps". I re-recorded this song for a few reasons. Part of it was that I wanted to improve the audio and video quality from the original recording. Plus, there were some minor changes to how I played certain parts of the song. I also tried to slow down the tempo from the first cover because it felt like I was playing too fast back then, but I may have ended up slowing it down just a tad too much, 'cause now it feels slower than the original track from the game lol. But the main reason I wanted to do this basically boils down to one thing: the thumbpick.
When I recorded my first cover of this track nearly 5 years ago, I had absolutely zero experience using thumbpicks. When I finally learned how to use one, I immediately started thinking about re-recording this song, because it had so many walking bass lines - and I thought using a thumbpick would really bring out those notes. I did manage to record myself playing this song with a thumbpick in a live gig a few years back (link to that video below), but there was a lot of background noise in that video. Interestingly enough, I had some people comment that the noise and audience chatter actually added to the atmosphere of the song, making it feel like I was really playing in the streets of the city that never sleeps. Regardless, I wanted to record a clean version of the arrangement with a thumbpick. Hopefully, I have achieved that with this video. 😃
#acoustic #nobuouematsu #finalfantasyBeautys Wicked Wiles (Lakshmis Theme) - FFXIV: Stormblood | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-02-14 | Many of the individual boss fights in Final Fantasy 14 have unique songs that play in the background that are thematically appropriate and in-character for the boss you're fighting. "Beauty's Wicked Wiles" was the theme of the Lady of Bliss, Sri Lakshmi. And it's memorable for me because that boss fight was the first time that I struggled to concentrate on the battle mechanics due to being distracted by how good the song was.
#acoustic #finalfantasy #ff14Liberi Fatali - Final Fantasy VIII Intro | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2023-01-20 | Final Fantasy VIII was my first FF game. And you can say what you want about its flaws and quirks. But one thing that I think it definitely had going for it was the soundtrack. "Liberi Fatali" was the song that plays in the intro cinematic when you start a new game in FFVIII. That opening sequence paved the way for my lifelong love of the Final Fantasy series and passion for instrumental music.
For the longest time, learning how to play this song on the guitar felt like a pipe dream. An impossible, unattainable goal that I could only fantasize about but never reach. It always felt that way because Liberi Fatali is, for lack of a better word, a *BIG* song. It's an epic, highly dynamic, full orchestra and choir kinda of song - with lyrics in *LATIN* . It's daunting to even think about playing it on a single guitar.
I had to make some compromises and change keys to make it work, but ultimately, I'm pretty happy with this arrangement! I can only hope that my version does justice to the sheer scale of the original track. Enjoy!
#finalfantasy #acoustic #nobuouematsuThe Price of Freedom - Crisis Core: FFVII | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-12-13 | I first learned how to play this song about 15 years ago, when I was still in high school. But I did not learn it in solo fingerstyle. I learned the chords and the melody separately. I remember playing this song in a recital with a couple of friends, with two of us on guitar and one person on percussion. Now, with the release of Crisis Core Reunion (the remake/remaster of the original Crisis Core game), it felt appropriate to finally do a fingerstyle arrangement of this song. I hope you enjoy it. 😁
#acoustic #finalfantasy #crisiscoreBefriending Spirits (Kena: Bridge of Spirits OST) | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-11-28 | I cannot even begin to explain how much I loved "Kena: Bridge of Spirits". It reminded me of all the reasons why I love video games. The art style and the music are a big plus too. My favorite track in the game is "Befriending Spirits". It plays pretty early on in the game, as well as in the ending credits. Here's my fingerstyle arrangement of it. I hope I somehow did it justice!
I wanna give a special shoutout to @SheetMusicBoss and @MariaMoongamecoversonviolin, whose arrangements I drew a lot of inspiration from. And of course, big thanks to @EmberLab for the game, and @TheophanyRemix for the composition of the original track.
#kenabridgeofspirits #acoustic #musicTifas Theme - Seventh Heaven (Final Fantasy VII) | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-11-09 | So I think Tifa might be my favorite character in Final Fantasy VII. And I think this theme is a good example of why. It perfectly captures her personality - specifically, her kindness and compassion. I've heard Tifa being described as a fighter with the personality of a healer (whereas Aerith is the healer with a personality of a fighter), and I think that's accurate. One of the most memorable scenes in the FF7 Remake for me was when a Shinra employee questions why Tifa is trying to save him, saying "but I work for Shinra. I'm the enemy" - and Tifa's response was "I don't care. I don't want anyone to die. Please."
This arrangement is based on the track called "Tifa's Theme - Seventh Heaven" from the remake. I loved Tifa's theme from the original FFVII, but I preferred the dynamics in the remake version, with the added intro and the different instruments and all. I thought it lent itself very well to a solo instrumental guitar arrangement.
#finalfantasy #nobuouematsu #ffviiOptimism (Solt & Peppor Theme) - Chrono Cross OST | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-10-21 | Before you ask - No, I did not misspell "Salt" and "Pepper" in the title. There is a duo in Chrono Cross known as the "Shaker Brothers", and their names are Solt and Peppor. There's actually a lesser-known third guy in their group named "Ketchop". This is their theme music. Enjoy. 😆
#yasunorimitsuda #chronocross #acousticDescendant of Shinobi (Yuffies Theme) - FFVII Original/Remake Medley | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-10-06 | The original version of "Descendant of Shinobi" from FF7 is one of the happiest-sounding tunes in the soundtrack. And I think it really captures the youthful, childlike spirit of Yuffie's character. But the new arrangement of the theme from the FF7 Remake has a very different feel to it. And I think that one more effectively captures the spirit of Yuffie's skill and combat prowess as a Ninja. I can't help but think of the two versions as two sides of the same coin. And as such, I wanted to honor both arrangements in this medley. I hope you like it! 😀
#finalfantasy #yuffie #ff7Cry In Sorrow (Zeros Domain Theme) - FFIV / FFXIV | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-09-14 | When I heard this tune in Final Fantasy 14, I immediately recognized it as a Final Fantasy 4 throwback. The theme plays in Zero's Domain in FF14's patch 6.2 MSQ, as well as in various sorrowful (obviously) moments in FF4. One particular scene that comes to mind is the "Break" scene with Palom and Porom. I cannot even begin to express how much that scene broke my heart back then, and still does to this day.
#ff4 #ff14 #finalfantasyEnclosure - Metal Gear Solid OST | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-09-03 | "I was born on a battlefield, raised on a battlefield. Gunfire, sirens and screams, they were my lullabies..."
- Sniper Wolf
Today marks the 24th Anniversary of Metal Gear Solid's release on the Playstation. I thought I would commemorate the event with an arrangement of one of my favorite pieces from its soundtrack, which accompanied what is arguably my all-time favorite scene in the entire game series.
This scene with Sniper Wolf was what officially made me a Metal Gear fan back in the day. As far as I was concerned, it was peak storytelling. I loved everything about it - from the content and delivery of Sniper Wolf's speech - to the scenery - to the wolves you could hear howling in the background - and of course, the music.
The track is called "Enclosure". It was rather challenging to come up with an arrangement for it, because the original piece is basically the same short segment repeated 4 times - but each time there are different instruments in the arrangement making it so that each new repetition is more intense than the last. Well, there are only so many "instruments" I can try to emulate using one guitar. So I had to find creative ways to achieve dynamic in this arrangement, so as not to sound like I'm just playing the same old thing over and over lol. I hope I did it justice, and I hope you like it. 😁
#metalgearsolid #hideokojima #mgsHollow (FFVII Remake Ending Theme) | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-08-16 | So I know I'm a couple years late to the party, but I only just recently played and finished the Final Fantasy 7 remake. So here's my fingerstyle arrangement of its ending/credits theme. Early on in the game, we hear an instrumental version of this theme called "Hollow Skies" that plays in some parts of the Sector 5 slums. I tried to incorporate some elements from that version in my arrangement. I hope you like it!
Original song composed by Nobuo Uematsu, and sung by Yosh Morita.
#ff7 #finalfantasy #acousticSuperman (Its Not Easy) - Five For Fighting | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-08-04 | A simple yet meaningful and relateable song from my childhood days.
#acoustic #superman #musicThe Only Friend - Brave Fencer Musashi | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-07-26 | Does anyone remember the game "Brave Fencer Musashi"? I have so many fond memories of that little gem. And maybe some traumatic ones too - the Vambees scared the heck out of me as a kid. Anyway, growing up, Musashi very much contributed to my love of instrumental music alongside the final fantasy series. And "The Only Friend" was always one of the standout tunes for me. It's the track that plays while you're going through the Meandering Forest with your dog pal, and "Only Friend", Leno. 🐕
Well here's my fingerstyle interpretation of said track! Hope you like it!
Fun fact: The composer of Brave Fencer Musashi's music (Tsuyoshi Sekito) and the composer of the original Final Fantasy games' music (Nobuo Uematsu) were both in a band called "The Black Mages", where they did rock covers of Final Fantasy tracks.
#acoustic #bravefencermusashi #videogamemusicSweet Child O Mine - Guns N Roses | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-07-11 | This is another song that I've been wanting to cover for years, but never got around to because I always had other songs/pieces lined up. The song being used as a theme for Thor: Love and Thunder was the reminder I needed that I still haven't covered it. So here we are. I hope you like it. 😀
#acoustic #sweetchildomine #thor #mcu #gunsnrosesHigh Rollers Club Theme (Splashing Casino) - Tekken 6 | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-06-16 | High Roller's Club was always one of my favorite stages in Tekken 6. That, and "Hidden Retreat". They're both infinite stages with zero walls, and they both have really cool visuals and music. Speaking of which... I may do a cover of the Hidden Retreat theme too someday 🤔
#acoustic #tekken #bandainamcoGarden of God (Chrono Cross Main Menu Theme) | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-05-19 | The music and the whole "underwater" visuals in the main menu in Chrono Cross was imprinted on my mind as a young kid. I hope I'm doing the theme justice in this arrangement :D
#yasunorimitsuda #music #acousticCids Theme (Lindblum Castle) - Final Fantasy IX | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-05-10 | It's been a while since my last FF9 cover, what with me being so busy doing FF14 covers instead. 😅 Well, I'm back with some Lindblum Castle music! I did a cover of the Lindblum town theme (the non-castle part) a while ago: youtube.com/watch?v=js7n9FaFHDU, and I've been wanting to try my hand at the Castle theme ever since.
Whelp. Here it is. Hope you like it!
#nobuouematsu #ff9 #finalfantasyRadical Dreamers ~ Unstolen Jewel (Chrono Cross Ending Theme) | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-05-03 | I remember when I first attempted to learn this song many, many years ago. I was still living in the Philippines then. I was still in high school and I had only been playing guitar for about three years. I tried learning the song by ear, and was utterly oblivious to all the chords I was missing lol.
Fast forward to today. Not only do I have more than a decade's worth of learning and experience to draw from, I also now have a music sheet book for the entire Chrono Cross soundtrack. Which means, I now know all the chords to this song.
This video has been about fifteen years in the making, but it's finally here.
#yasunorimitsuda #instrumental #chronocrossEye of the Tiger - Survivor | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-04-12 | A month ago, someone asked if I would do a cover of this song. And I don't know why that thought never crossed my mind in all the 17 years I've been playing guitar, but of course now I HAD to do it. I think this is a great song to use to kind of illustrate how fingerstyle guitar works; it introduces each part (or "instrument") one at a time before it all comes together and the melody (or "vocals") hits. Anyway, I hope you like it. Enjoy!
#guitar #fingerstyle #acousticSultana Dreaming (Uldah Night Theme) - FFXIV: A Realm Reborn | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-03-26 | This has been a long time coming. The night theme in Ul'dah, "Sultana Dreaming", was the first FFXIV track that I fell in love with.
Many years ago, when the current expansion was still Heavensward, I tried out FFXIV's free trial. And while I didn't stick with the game back then (I only just started over last year), this theme left a lasting impression on me. Even though I spent more time in other zones, it was the music of Ul'dah that made me realize this game had different daytime and night time themes for certain areas. I was blown away at how very different the day and night themes felt in Ul'dah despite sharing the same melody.
I heard the daytime theme first (A New Hope), but that didn't take away from the night theme at all. Sultana Dreaming really set itself apart for me, it didn't feel like "just a different version/arrangement" of A New Hope. To me, both themes felt like individual compositions built from the ground up - just that they were based on the same melody. THAT's how different these two themes felt for me.
Anyway, here's my take on Sultana Dreaming. Hope you like it! 😁 I took some inspiration from @GuitarSVD's arrangement of this theme. You can watch his wonderful take on it here: youtube.com/watch?v=EmR9BZ5_C_c
P.S. I realize my tempo and timing could use some work 😐 Somehow, it's harder for me to keep track of the rhythm when a song is slow and has long pauses - like this one.
#finalfantasy #ffxiv #uldahCarrots of Happiness (Smileton Theme) - FFXIV: Endwalker | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-03-08 | Most of my Expert Roulette runs in FFXIV end up being Smileton (as of patch 6.08). Not that I'm complaining - that dungeon has fun mechanics AND music!
I might've gone overboard with the drumming here. 😂 But I figured if there was a song/piece where it would feel appropriate to go crazy with the percussion, it'd be this one.
#finalfantasy #endwalker #loporritA Better Tomorrow - FFXIV: Shadowbringers | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-02-14 | I loved the calm, happy, and overall positive vibe that this track gave off whenever it played in cutscenes in FFXIV: Shadowbringers. It made for a nice little break from the generally dark and intense themes that that expansion had going most of the time. 😅
#ff14 #ffxiv #shadowbringersClose In The Distance (Ultima Thule) - FFXIV: Endwalker | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-01-26 | Here's my take on the theme from the final zone of FFXIV: Endwalker. I may have underestimated how difficult it is to try to do bends and vibratos while also strumming palm-muted bass notes 😅
#finalfantasy #ffxiv #endwalkerThe Day Will Come (Baldesion Annex Theme) - FFXIV Endwalker | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2022-01-17 | Okay, I may have gotten just a little too drummy on this one. 😅
The music in the Baldesion Annex in Old Sharlayan makes me wanna hang out there all day. In my head, this is basically Krile's theme. 😆
Although I've never played FFV myself, I heard that this theme is a re-arrangement of a track from that game called "The Day Will Come". Nice little homage to Uematsu's music there.
#ff14 #ffxiv #endwalkerThe Ewer Brimmeth (Old Sharlayan Day Theme) - FF XIV | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2021-12-19 | Y'all knew this was gonna happen, right? Of course I had to do an arrangement of the music in the main city of FFXIV: Endwalker. 😆 And even though the night version is the more guitar-friendly one (it literally has guitar as the main instrument), I decided to do the daytime version. It's mostly because of the ending part; the one that starts at 3:32. That part is absent from the night version and I really, REALLY wanted to play that. 😃
#finalfantasy #endwalker #ffxivLA HEE (Civilizations) - Raktika Greatwood Theme | FFXIV Shadowbringers Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2021-12-03 | So, here we are, less than 24 hours from the early access release of FFXIV's newest expansion, Endwalker. I wanted my Shadowbringers experience to end on one last big LA HEE with this arrangement. And with this video, I have finally achieved my goal of doing covers from every expansion of FFXIV starting with A Realm Reborn. Onward, to Endwalker covers! xD
#masayoshisoken #finalfantasy #shadowbringersFinal Fantasy XIV Endwalker Theme | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2021-11-20 | Endwalker hype! There's still a lot of content I want to do before the newest FFXIV expansion releases. But at least I'm caught up on the Main Scenario Quests for Shadowbringers, so I'll be ready to jump in to Endwalker in a couple weeks!
#finalfantasy #ffxiv #endwalkerCant Take My Eyes Off You - Frankie Valli | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2021-11-05 | There are many different versions of this song. I drew the most inspiration from the original one by Frankie Valli. And maybe a little bit from the Bumblefoot version. 😅
Although I'm not a hardcore Addams Family fan, I do have memories of the 90's animated series from my childhood. The most prominent one being the opening sequence that this theme goes with.
This arrangement was inspired by @justinjohnsonlive's version of the Addams family theme. You can watch his video here: youtube.com/watch?v=ZlFSK_qYaEE
#addamsfamily #halloween #spookyCrimson Sunrise (Kugane Theme) - Final Fantasy XIV | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2021-10-03 | When my FFXIV character first stepped into Kugane and the music started playing, I immediately wanted to do a fingerstyle guitar arrangement. The Stormblood soundtrack has some of my favorite themes in the entire game.
#ffxiv #stormblood #masayoshisokenA Fathers Pride (Yanxia Day Theme) - Final Fantasy XIV | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2021-09-14 | The daytime music in Yanxia totally caught me by surprise. I don't know what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn't this theme. The track starts off with a nice bouncy harp rhythm that made me bob my head. And then the Kokyu comes in and I'm like "What is that!?". I had never heard that instrument before and I had to look it up. Needless to say, I fell in love with the track and went on a mission to make my own fingerstyle guitar arrangement of it. Here it is. I hope you like it. 😊
#ffxiv #stormblood #masayoshisokenYellow - Coldplay | Fingerstyle Guitar ArrangementAnton Betita2021-08-26 | I've always liked this song and appreciated the beauty in its simplicity - both in terms of its musical structure and its lyrics. Although the chords are fairly easy and straightforward, I really feel like the Cmaj7 (technically it's an Emaj7, if you consider the capo) makes the whole thing sound even more beautiful.
#coldplay #yellow #instrumentalNobility Obliges (Ishgard Theme) - Final Fantasy XIV | Fingerstyle GuitarAnton Betita2021-08-08 | Here's another fingerstyle guitar rendition of an FF14 track. "Nobility Obliges" is hands down one the most sophisticated pieces I've ever attempted to learn to play. It's right up there with FF9's "Sleepless City Treno".
