Following his retirement from the studio in 2018, Musker embarked on the creation of the charming, hand-drawn short I’m Hip (4 mins., DCP) about a jazz-obsessed cat trying to prove his “coolness” to anyone he meets. For this keynote address as part of Cartoon Crossroads Columbus, Burns reflects on his distinguished career and recent work, such as Final Cut (2023), Kommix (2024), and Unwholesome Love (2024).
