With the covid regulation still around, Ffestiniog Railway which is the majorly of the film has got to offer two railway journey - The Mountain Prince from Porthmadog to Ddaullt and the Woodland Wonderer from Porthmadog to Tan-Y-Bwlch plus the train service back to Blaneau Ffestiniog on the once a day trip to the town so that run called Back to Blaneau. I've visited to make sure I've see all of the train journeys and quite lucky enough to see all the operating home fleet in action. There was the annual Snowdonian Railtour where the Ffestiniog Railway's fund raising railtour using Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways however with the on going covid stuff that 2021 did happen but in over two days in the last full weekend of July, with the second part on the Ffestiniog Railway the triple header of all operational George England running with only using the Mountain Prince runs to Ddaullt.

49:10 - And something rare and special that on the Wednesday 28th July there was a thunderstorm at Porthmadog that a few signalling issues such as track circuit failure meaning that three trains was at Porhmadog Station, The back to Blaeanu stock needs to return to Boston Lodge works same as the Woodland Wanderer stock which both needs to return with Garratt 130, Lyd & Merddin Emrys so a double header of 130 & 190 haul the impressive 9 stock of Blaneau & 6 from Woodland with Merddin on the rear. It was a very hot day up to 30c on our chase of the Jubilee. We start of at Bridge of Nowhere on the Kennet & Avon canal between Crofton & Bedwyn where the chatter of ramblers come along to see the tour pass, crickey they are a loud bunch! Next shot on our second camera seen on the towpath on the approach to Crofton foot crossing which whistled for that. Then it was a trip back home to see it approaching Wilton junction almost journey end for its first leg of the tour.
Salisbury Circular tour started from Salisbury, Romsey, Eastleigh, Southampton, Romsey back to Salisbury so we started on the first shot of the second railtour of the day at Alderbury on the old junction down to Downton, Fordingbridge and down towards Bournemouth on the Clarendon Bridge next to the busy very nosey of the A36. Now an hour and a bit later we see 45596 passing though Kimbridge Lane.
The return run back to London was back where it came down on the outward so staying quite local to us that Bapton near Wylye was in order to see it running back on time with the classic english countryside view and a nice welcome shade from the horrid sun to see it,
Beside the horrid weather being very hot, it was a good chase to see the jubilee running around the south of england.
Enjoy!
Both engines ran on a 4 round trips at the railway with 31806 makes an extra round trip on ECS movement.
Enjoy!
The tour started at the usual London Victoria running the usual route via Clapham & Staines towards Woking then down the South West Mainline towards Basingstoke, Southampton & Bournemouth where 60163 would take the train to Swanage Railway for servicing. The return was diesel hauled to Southampton and steam back via Romsey, Andover then rejoin the route again at Basingstoke,
The video was shot at a rather typical British weather in the Summer, a wet evening at Grateley Station
Enjoy!
