Hannah Ford 2020-11-26 | “Eyes of Compassion” is the first song that I’ve ever written. I was 17. I wrote it after falling in love with Jesus and after seeing a vision of His eyes so full of love and compassion for the world. He had a tear that was the purest love I’d ever seen. There were hills full of people that didn’t know Him and He told me to bring people to Him. It was a powerful experience for me. I didn’t plan on writing this song. I had just learned how to play guitar and this prayer came out of me. This song was critiqued by songwriters as having two themes. However, since this was my first song, I left it alone. I also left it alone because I believe that the two themes go together. Out of our love for God should come a desire for others to know him, as well. I was recently asked to make a recording of this song for my brother’s online church service. I’m happy that I had some motivation to make this video. I pray God uses this!❤️

Impromptu street music ministry- homelessness in San Diego

Hannah Ford 2019-07-26 | Impromptu street ministry last weekend. Robin has been homeless for a year. He has no family. He wants to be free from alcohol addiction. He is precious. He grew up going to Sunday school and Jesus will never stop pursuing him. I tried to talk him into going to the San Diego Rescue Mission.He’s thinking about it. 😊🙏 Pray he gets the help he needs. I sang a song I wrote called “Take a Deep Breath” and also a personalized “Jesus Loves Me” for him. We also had a great talk and prayer. Hannah Ford 2017-01-13 | Although this song is on my second album (2008), I wrote it when I was working on my first album. At the time, I was juggling teaching elementary school full-time and driving into Hollywood to record after work and on weekends. It was an exhausting schedule and the circumstances were not easy. I knew for sure that God was leading me to finish the album and that in my weakness His grace would carry me. I didn't know what my future would hold, but I knew that wherever He wanted me, teaching or doing concerts, both, or none- I just wanted Him to use my life. A lot has changed with me since those years, but at the same time, not much has changed. :) And God's faithfulness has never changed. Join me in this prayer for 2017- God use our lives for your glory! Blessings! (I'm slowly getting some of my "vintage" music on YouTube before I release more new music. :) )

Hannah Ford 2016-09-02 | I'm not sure why I'm uploading a soundcheck soundbite, besides the fact that after a while of not singing this song, I was happy to sing it again. I was a guest worship leader and while I looked over a list of songs that the band already knew, I was reminded why I used to lead this song so much. Our light affliction, though hard, is eclipsed by His glory and love. His love is "jealous" for us- in a good way. He loves us so much! Recently, I went through a really hard time. In the midst of the hard time and the hurt, God presence with me was even stronger. He reminded me of how much He loves me. He spoke life into my heart and soul. This makes me love Him all the more. That's why at the end of this song after singing, "He love us..." I can't help but bust out in a chorus where I sing it back to Him- "We love you, oh how we love you..."

Hannah Ford 2016-09-02 | I hadn't led this song for a while. I was a guest worship leader at La Jolla Presbyterian and chose from a list of songs the band knew. Often, when I revisit songs that I haven't sung for a while, God seems to make the song new to me again. Life will be full of these "ocean" moments. Once we're comfortable, we're asked to venture out in faith in a new way. I've heard people criticize the song for different reasons like; the song referencing Jesus calling Peter out of the boat to walk on water on the "sea of Galilee" not on the "ocean." I find that these things don't matter so much. The point is this- are we willing to trust God? Are we willing to take a risk and believe that He'll uphold us when we can't ourselves. I was blessed to lead this song with this band and to be reminded again of how trustworthy my wonderful Savior is. I say "yes" to following God and trusting Him. I hope you do, too! Let's not miss out on what He has for us.
