On February 13, 2015 members of the Edmonton Muslim community gathered to honour their lives in a "Three Winners" candle light vigil to celebrate their contribution to the world. The "Three Winners" were known for The shootings, initially ignored by the main community engagement most notably Deah Barakat who was planning a trip to Syria to provide free dental care to refugees. Three Winners Vigil - Chapel Hill Shooting - Edmonton Transition Edmonton Media 2015-02-23 | February 13, 2015. On February 10, 2015 three Muslim students at Chapel Hill North Carolina, known for their charitable activities in their community, were shot in their home by their neighbour Craig Stephen Hicks. On February 13, 2015 members of the Edmonton Muslim community gathered to honour their lives in a "Three Winners" candle light vigil to celebrate their contribution to the world. The "Three Winners" were known for The shootings, initially ignored by the main community engagement most notably Deah Barakat who was planning a trip to Syria to provide free dental care to refugees. Cultural Genocide, Police Accountability and Human Rights - Elder Taz Bouchier Transition Edmonton Media 2015-02-11 | February 7, 2015. February 7, 2015. Concerned Edmonton citizens meet in Churchill Square and marched to Edmonton Police Headquarters to deliver a symbolic pink slip for the termination of Mike Wasylyshen. Their concerns are that Mike Wasylyshen was disciplined for tasering an unconscious teen, Randy Fryingpan, 8 times in 68 seconds in 2002 and pled guilty to two charges of assault for an altercation that occurred will off-duty and intoxicated in 2005.
