The horrible interlacing that affected the original release has been fixed and I have also made some minor visual corrections as well as re-cutting the show to include the bonus tracks and footage.

David Bowie & Friends: A Very Special Birthday Celebration Concert NYC 1997 [1080p AI Upscale] Jay Parmar 2023-01-12 | My remastered AI-driven 1080p upscale of David Bowie's 50th birthday concert at Madison Square Garden, New York City in 1997. This isn't perfect by any means but might be the best-looking version available to date. The original source was apparently from a promo VHS recording of the 1997 pay-per-view Save the Children benefit TV broadcast and has no doubt been re-encoded several times since being digitised. Like other versions available online, it suffered from extremely low video quality and defects such as interlacing, haloing and blocky compression artefacts. The audio had seemingly been re-dubbed with a higher-quality recording of the concert, however it played out of sync with the video in many places. I have hopefully fixed this along with applying some very basic colour correction and grain to improve the overall detailing of the image. I adore the Georges Delerue soundtrack to Jean-Luc Godard's fantastic 1963 film 'Le Mépris' (otherwise known as 'Contempt') however the mono recordings sounds dated, quite stark and cheaply recorded alongside contemporary classical recordings. Here's my remastering attempt which aims to add more colour, space and stereo. Please note that the minor blips are from the original recordings and I couldn't be bothered to fix them. In 2009, within house, us guys were asked to put on some sort of presentation or play for a morning house assembly. Instead, we made a silly short film called '11/12' which went down really well. In early 2010, we had the idea of making a film featuring more of the school and our year group, making our last few months at Wellingborough more special. Myself and Sam Crosby-Browne put tremendous effort into organising and scheduling the whole operation, most of which had to be done after the school day. The headmaster played the trailer in a school assembly and the film itself it was shown to the whole Senior School during a lunch-time on Charity Day - and I think we raised quite a lot of money!Written and directed by Sam Crosby-Browne.Produced and edited by Jay Parmar.

The whole video, including the audio, music and dialogue, was edited and mixed by me for this theatrical trailer editing project. You'd have to watch the film in order to appreciate why this trailer is a different more singular take on the film. I think it turned out ok!

I did not watch any trailers for the film thus approached it with an open mind. EDIT: On watching the official trailers afterwards, I've noticed some same shots being used and some other similarities with mine (which is probably a good thing!). I chose Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy because it's an excellent film and I think my choice and timings of The White Stripes' 'I Think I Smell a Rat' track compliments the theme of the film nicely. I opted for a no-dialogue teaser format due to the time limit and am quite happy with the end result!
