The lead work is cool and the rhythm is really easy and fun to play. I chose to play it the way I've seen it done live, with Paul using the capo on the 7th fret. It really adds some thickness to the chords and makes it easy to play in a live scenario. I am NOT a professional guitar player, in fact I've never actually taken a formal lesson. This is probably my favorite track from the album but the solo is a bitch to play in certain parts. It's weird and it's fast. It took awhile for my brain to get the hang of it but I did my best. There were a few guitar parts that I wasn't sure about but I think I've got them resolved now. It's also interesting that for a pop song, the guitars are rather nasty sounding. I'm pretty sure that the solo is Paul again . As always, I play all the guitar and bass parts over a drum track that I produced. The song is super simple to play but the solo is a bit of a mess. I'm sure it's a studio musician who performed it on the album because the crazy tremolo bar work is very uncharacteric for KISS at point. It's also really hard to hear in parts because it's so low in the original mix but I did my best. I am NOT a professional guitar player, in fact I've never actually taken a formal lesson. Love In Chains (Paul Stanley cover) KISS Covers 2018-09-25 | So I guess I'm on a Paul Stanley kick at the moment and here's my cover of Love In Chains, as performed on his 78' solo album. As always, I play all the guitar and bass parts over a drum track that I put together. I've always loved the lead work in this song and it was really fun trying to learn the parts. It's also important to note that this song has plently of overdubs thoughout the song (ie. the subltle, but essential opening pick slide in the right channel), but I declined to show them in the video since it would clutter the presentation.
