Rest in peace, man. You're the reason this wonderful game exists.
I'm on the right, trying out Patchouli. Connection was a bit spotty as expected from UK to US West, but far improved over our previous sets.

It's a fan-made Touhou Project fighting game originally conceived by Traweezie and RicePigeon using the I.K.E.M.E.N engine that aims to provide a more traditional take on the official Touhou Project fighting games. Plenty more people have since joined the development team (myself included), allowing it to evolve past a mere compilation of RicePigeon's characters.
It's really fun and I insist you try it out.

Anime OP, even though it's the credits theme. I kinda miss the old credits sequence that let you freely control Reimu/Marisa along a straight stretch of road, but then I suppose deciding to go off-road instead visually broke the game, so...

All things considered, carefully alternating between low beam, red field, and high beam was the best I could do because you can't really punish this character with anything other than a move that bypasses theirs (low beam is projectile invulnerable, red field grants projectile invulnerability as long as the opponent is within its radius); her X and Y DPs are especially hard to punish, as they grant Reisen full invulnerability up until the recovery frames and she'll always use the version that places her away from the opponent, so at max distance, you'd better hope you've got a move that can hit full-screen in 12 frames.
Other pains include her low beam that actually hits low, but you have to keep holding down-back for the entire duration (23 hits!) or you'll fail to guard it, but then I suppose you shouldn't be trying to buffer anything in as a punish because it's safe on block; also, I'm really not a fan of how Mind Explosion (the red homing projectile) explodes on contact with the side of the screen, crossing you up, but then easy crossups (especially of the full-screen variety) seem to be a theme with these characters, hah.
Last time I fight (and subsequently rant about) one of these characters, promise!

Woo, another A.I. patch that does things the human player cannot. This one by BobaFett does whatever it wants whenever it feels like it, which basically means it can cancel anything into anything else as it sees fit, including knockdown and guard states; it also chooses to ignore the Charge Meter entirely and will thus use any moves tied to it without restriction.

Point is, this was an uphill battle to say the least; Pikaman's lack of mobility, slow attacks, poor range, and low priority are very much the opposite of what Miyako has, so I dare say being able to win two rounds in a row was nothing short of a fluke. Really not a fan of how much damage Miyako does meterless, nor the fact that she imposes a mechanic onto the opponent (guard meter) without having it herself; also not a fan of that rock move, since it just locks you in hitstun/blockstun for eternity while Miyako is free to charge Blood Heat... Oh, and the Guts mechanic that's supposed to balance the combo damage when these characters fight each other, but subsequently screws everyone else over.

You'll have to excuse the framerate as it's an old game and recording it was a pain in the arse.
Song is Dancing On the Street by David Dima.
Is now fix. Thank.
So yeah, it's a really good thing Komachi has a fair bit of range on her attacks or else this would've been horrendous, but even then, I had to rely on Merkava using the stronger versions of his Execute Drill at the end of a blockstring since they move him forwards a bit. Another thing he does (but fortunately didn't do here) is Execute Pierce into grab, which you just can't do anything about. For those that aren't aware, there are no hurtboxes on his arms during Execute Seize and Devour (the reaching grab), so I couldn't punish that either.

So let's quickly go over what I was doing in this match. Going anywhere near Sagat with stubby Normals like Remi's is a dumb idea, so it's best to use long-ranged options or somehow bait him into doing something punishable, which Chain Gang can do; I primarily used the Z version since Sagat interacts with it in three specific ways: guard, take the hit, or dodge, with the latter being the most common, so spacing it properly causes him to roll dodge and attempt a standing Normal that I can beat out with Remi's 2Y, which I then cancel into Demon Lord Cradle since comboing Sagat is a fruitless effort due to his Burst. Job done.
