Canoe Camping in Sweden | 7 Days in Dalsland-Nordmarken | Ally Canoe 🛶 Adventure Outdoors 2023-06-01 | Hello,In this video we head west of Lake Vanern to the Swedish Lake District and spend a relaxing week paddling around the Lake Foxen area in an Ally Canoe. We used the DANO hut campsites, purchased a fishing permit and sat back and relaxed in an area that we pretty much had to ourselves in great weather conditions.Regarding my illness; we stayed at a campsite before the trip and the 'drinking water' tap was turned off, probably to stop it freezing during the night. I ended up using an adjacent tap from a washing up sink to drink water from, I later found out that this water was pumped directly from the lake. Tris didn't drink any as she had a large bottle of tonic water open, but I drank about a gallon. I managed to get the pack down to a very reasonable base weight of 7.8kg but this increased once I added camera gear, tripod and battery equipment which added around 1.3kg but the pack was still easy to manage along the route. It's a really good hike with the potential to bag a few peaks if you had the time, we visit the Fords of Avon refuge hut (little more than a shed for emergencies) and the famous Corrour Bothy. The route is pretty much the Fjallraven UK Classic route that will take place in September 2022.The wind was a constant on this trip, which was a shame as I'd carried a drone for some arial shots but the wind was always too strong to fly it. A Hike, a Pint and a Lakeside Wild Camp Adventure Outdoors 2022-03-18 | We head out for an overnighter in the lakes, we shelved our original plan of a summit camp due to the poor weather; rain was forecast, visibility was low and high winds picked up in the early hours of the morning. Instead we decided to walk along the banks of Ullswater and camp somewhere along the way, by dusk the rain had passed so we were able to enjoy a few beers by the lake.I was testing out my new GoPro Hero 10 on this trip, I wasn't sure how the video would turn out but I was pretty happy with it. 2022 MSR Freelite 3 | First Look | Lightweight 3-Season Backpacking Tent Adventure Outdoors 2022-02-23 | #msrtents #backpacking #msrfreelite*UPDATE 08/22* Ive been using the tent now for a few months, after a few uses the bug net started to come away at the very top of the tent, it was returned for repair but the repair was substandard as it immediately started to come away again. I asked for a replacement or a refund and MSR sent me out a replacement inner which I have yet to use. The tent is not suitable for gusts or high wind as it will just flatten itself, but if the conditions look good it's still a good option for a lightweight 3 person tent.Hello everyone,In this video we take a quick look at the new MSR Freelite 3 backpacking tent. This tent should hopefully see us through some up and coming multi day hiking trips here in the UK. It seems ok on first viewing, definitely a bit pricey compared to some of the trekking pole tents you can buy but I'm not really a fan of those, this tent has a good amount of space and should deal with 3 season conditions here in the UK I reckon.
