We had the honor to visit a Dairy Farm in Ohio where we could see with our own eyes that a place like this really exists.Everything at this farm is in general an open concept and the cows are being let out to the fields at least twice a day, where they can feed on the fresh Ohio grass. There are milking stations where the cows gladly stop by. Then there is a classic barn where we were greeted by super cute calves. The Wilds Conservation Preserve in Ohio - A Midwest Safari For 91 Days Travel Blog 2022-11-12 | I have been to Ohio plenty of times but I would have never ever guessed that I would be going on a Safari in this midwest state. Even less though encountering rhinos, giraffes and ostriches.We came from Columbus, past Zanesville we soon arrived at The Wilds - a Branch of the Columbus Zoo. To be honest, I didn't know what to expect and even less though throughout the first 15 minutes of the safari, we got to see some budgies, fed some fish and spotted some deer in the underwood.But the tour got better the longer it went on. It has been way too long since I last seen everyone and it was interesting to see how much Springfield, Ohio has changed in over 2 years.The most notable change is the city's attempt the bring life back to the city center. We love the local brewery called Mother Stewart's which has been around for a few years but the new The Market - COhatch is such a great addition to the downtown and they make great usage of the historical Myer’s Market building. Our flight to Ohio has been delayed to the evening, so we decided to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge - on the subway over to Brooklyn we did some more research and opted for a walk over the Manhattan bridge instead - since from there you can actually admire the Brooklyn Bridge and I liked the fact that over the Manhattan one, subway trains are going over as well, besides regular car traffic.Surprisingly my favorite part was actually towards the end of our bridge crossing, the neighborhood before Chinatown kind looked like New York City in the 80's with all those gratifies and we also loved watching the mini soccer tournament below us.
