Set up a couple months ago using potting soil as base layer +akadama (substrate used for bonsai trees) +beach sand Planted mostly jungle val and some cryptocoryne parva and wendtii taken from my other tanks. Added 8 Zebra danios to cycle the tank.

I also picked up the 37 watt air pump for free! Started stocking with 6 juvenile green-spotted pufferfish. Despite the contrary, these types of puffers can be kept in groups - I suspect as long as they’re introduced to each other when they’re very young. All driftwood, dead coral and even sand was naturally-sourced from the environment. Nothing bought with plastic packaging from a store.

Most notable differences are the addition of driftwood with java moss (Vesicularia dubyana), introduction of water sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides), removal of dwarf hairgrass (Eleocharis parvula), and overabundance of jungle val (Vallisneria Gigantea).
