It doesn't seem to be hindered by its affliction. I tried to find out what this is but failed. It has been reported a few times before by different people throughout the country but no real answers.

It's not waste, that is a human concept. Like cleanliness, integrity, love, ownership.. ..those ideas are rare in the real world.The Beatles, and their grubs, use the manure to feed. This parasitoid wasp will put an egg into this dung fly. Now, don't go all ethical, this all has been balanced out long before humans ever had a thought. Baseline is - there's never more parasitoid wasp's than there is it's pray. A pesticide could wipe it out: resulting in a dung fly invested environment.

I do not consider them as wild as our roe deer - they cannot roam freely and their numbers are supposed to be kept in check. However, they themselves cannot help being anachronistic and are beautiful to see in this wild piece of woodland.

At the beginning of the 20th century, however, it was again deforested for arable farming. Due to the extensive arable area, Reijerscamp played an important role in the Second World War during Operation Market Garden. In September 1944, hundreds of gliders with support equipment landed here for the Allies, who had to conquer the Rhine Bridge at Arnhem. It has been managed by the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten since 2004. With the opening of the Ecoduct Jac. P. Thijsse In 2012, the area was connected to the Planken Wambuis nature reserve. In practice, after farming, the fertile topsoil was removed, some ponds and gradients were dug and finally there is extensive grazing and browsing by cows, red deer, roe deer and an occasional wild boar. Insects and birds had quickly discovered this gem of peace and quiet. The rare shrike and hen harrier can be spotted here in winter.
