Today we will be selling DOZENS of Commodore computers of all shapes and sizes to help an amazing charity buy DONKEYS of a very particular size - MINI!
All the money raised by this event will be donated to The Befriending Scheme (thebefriendingscheme.org.uk) An amazing charity which provides friendship and learning opportunities for vulnerable adults across Suffolk, including those with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and other isolated groups. The Befriending Scheme runs a number of hubs where they build meaningful One-to-One friendships between vulnerable people and volunteer befrienders, and Out and About Groups on evenings and weekends.
My own son Thomas goes to the Befriending Scheme Red Rose Community Farm. An amazing place where he can work with animals in a safe and supported environment, and spend time with the real friends he has made there. Every day I pick Thomas up after a day at the farm he is literally buzzing with excitement. It truly enriches his life more than anything we have seen before.
But there’s something important we need to do. In order to expand into an adjacent area on the farm and create a space to home some tiny donkeys the scheme will need a pile of cash. And thats why we’re here today!
All throughout the day, between the hours of 11am and 11pm there are a series of auctions for everything Commodore. You can find links to all of the auctions on my website here: morefunmakingit.co.uk/ebay2024 Almost everything was donated by a huge amount of very kind people. But there are, mixed amongst them, a bunch of auctions from Vintage Tech YouTubers from all around the world.
Please get involved and bid those auctions up!

Last year we raised a staggering £13k in aid of The Befriending Scheme (thebefriendingscheme.org.uk) which has been creeping up in the time since the last live stream. Also, since the live streams, one of the charity auction items, the brand new white ZX Spectrum, went missing on its way to the auction winners. Well we managed to recover it and have bought it back. And now we are going to sell it all over again! Go and watch this video: youtu.be/02gsPpkOobU if you want the full story!
And just to complicate things there is a second charity auction happening at the same time. A lovely ZX Harlequin 128k I built myself and placed in an original rubber key case in wonderful condition. The auctions will end at 19:50BST and 20:00BST. Come and join in as we watch them count down and maybe we can tip the final total over a major milestone!

This TV is a great choice for retro gaming enthusiasts, as it has all the inputs you need, such as VGA, DVI, S-video, and composite. You can use it to connect your old computers and consoles and enjoy the nostalgia.
The Samsung SyncMaster 940MW is a 19-inch LCD monitor with a built-in TV tuner and speakers. It has a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It was released in 2006 and received positive reviews for its picture quality and versatility. However, some users reported that the TV would not turn on or would shut off randomly after a few years of use. This is a common problem caused by faulty capacitors in the power supply board.
If you have a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW TV that is not working properly, don’t throw it away. You can fix it yourself with some basic tools and skills. All you need are some replacement capacitors, a soldering iron, a screwdriver, and some patience. In this video, I will guide you through the steps of opening the TV, identifying the bad capacitors, desoldering them, and soldering the new ones. You will be surprised by how easy and satisfying it is to repair your own TV.
I hope you find this video helpful and informative. If you do, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for more videos on retro gaming and electronics. Also, feel free to leave a comment below if you have any questions or suggestions. Thanks for watching!

The most common these days being good old composite video. Well if you want the best on a modern screen this device could be the answer to your prayers.

This was a great fun project and the results are excellent. A ZX Spectrum that can output RGB, can be any Spectrum from 48k to the Plus 2A. It can also be a ZX81 (and other computers too!) All using off-the-shelf components and no custom chips! What an incredible feat of engineering, all in the size of a rubber key ZX Spectrum!

Join me as I repair and mod a childhood Nintendo Entertainment System for a friend. After fixing the dodgy power supply, I tackle the flaky cartridge connector. Then it's time for an RGB mod to improve the video quality. I install an amazing custom replacement board, but hit a snag when testing - it doesn't work! Stay tuned to find out what simple mistake I made and whether I can get this precious retro console working again. This nostalgic modding project lets me dig into the over-engineered guts of the NES and improve picture quality while preserving the original case. Follow along for restoration tips, soldering action, and misty-eyed game memories.
