Bio: Michelle, the CEO and owner of Phoenix Flow Art is a Maryland based Artist. After serving my county in the US Air Force I completed my education and earned my degree from University of Maryland University College. Throughout my life especially during challenging times, I have always gravitated towards art. It is my safe space where I can express and challenge myself. I first started with graphite studying the human body before experimenting with different painting styles and medium. I found a love of fluid art because it lacks boundaries. Fluid art presents an opportunity to create a unique painting. Each painting has a meaning which in fluid and abstract art every option is on the table. There is no glass ceiling no right or wrong way it is just you, your heart and imagination and your substrate. The best part of this style is the colliding of materials to create something new.

#phoenixflowart #dutchpourpainting #fluidart #paintingtutorial #acrylicpour #dutchpourWatch This Dutch Pour Painting Come to Life! | Pour PaintingPhoenix Flow Art2025-07-16 | Hello All, Watch this Dutch pour painting come to life. I created this Dutch pour painting on a 10-inch stretched canvas. This pour took some time to come together so take your time. The composition or the flower feeling that comes with an acrylic Dutch pour painting sometimes takes time and determination. Just trust the pouring process and it will start to come together. Make sure your paint is not too thick, and it flows across the canvas. Also, when using a blow dryer to achieve this look use it at an angle. That way it can maintain that soft feeling. Please feel free to ask any questions or leave respectful comments below. Let me say thank you for taking time out of your day to view my video.
Many thanks and go enjoy the creating process. Michelle Phoenix Flow Art

First, I added my basecoat to the canvas I am pouring on. Once I have an even basecoat I added my colors individually. The colors are a mix of Goldens, Nova Color and the white is Amsterdam. All paints are mixed with Flood Floetrol and thinned with water to my desired consistency. Then I add additional basecoat around the colors. I take a blow dryer and blow the paint across the canvas into a composition of choice. Then I go in for the details. The details on this pour are done with a straw and a mini blower that I purchased from Amazon. Please like, share and subscribe. In this video I will explore the Dutch pour technique and hope you discover the artistry behind fluid art. The Dutch pour technique is created by using a blowing tool, in this case, a blow dryer to push the thin paint across the canvas to create beautiful abstract structures that can resemble flowers or wings. But you can use this technique as a base layer for beautiful landscapes. To see how to turn a dutch pour into a landscape check out fellow YouTube artist Soraya Silvestri (@SorayaZiziArtist). Resin Pour | Fluid ArtPhoenix Flow Art2024-04-15 | It's spring! Time to make something old new so don't trash your old or undesirable art. Today I will do an easy resin art makeover for a resin pour that I did last December that I really didn't like and never finished. Resin pours are a beautiful way to create abstract art. For this piece I primarily used transparent colors allowing the under painting to show through adding interest. When paint over a piece of artwork like this nothing goes to waste. This can also be done using acrylic inks and Gauches with acrylic paints if resin isn't you think. Sometimes it takes me awhile to figure out if it's done or not so at the end of the video you will see 2 pictures of the pour. One without gold lines and one with gold lines. Let me know which one like most. Thank you for visiting my channel. I am Michelle, Phoenix Flow Art creating is what I do!

My Art - Created by Phoenix Flow ArtA Demo of the Dutch Pour Technique, a form of acrylic paint pouring, Fluid Art.Phoenix Flow Art2023-09-29 | The Dutch pour technique is a form of acrylic pouring that uses air to create stunning patterns and effects on the canvas. You first cover the canvas with a thin layer of paint, usually white or black, which serves as the negative space. Then, you pour different colors of paint on top of the base layer. Next, you use a tool that blows air, such as a hair dryer, a straw, or a compressor, to spread the paint across the canvas. This creates flower-like shapes with colorful ribbons, lacing, and cells. You can also use a straw or your mouth to blow on specific areas to add more details and control. The Dutch pour technique is a fun and creative way to make abstract art with fluid acrylics. If you want to learn more about this technique or other techniques then please like, share, and subscribe.

This style was created by Artist Shelee Carruthers. During this bloom-pouring session, the goal was to understand how the paints flow and interact with each other. I change blowing styles, pillow consistency, and the order of the colors to see how they interact together. This technique has always been a challenge for me but it's time to change that. So over the next several weeks, it's all blooms and all cells. Please drop any pointers down in the comment area below. So it's happy blooming time.

This piece is simple and elegant. When creating a pour on unfinished wood I first seal it. Paint pouring adds a lot of moisture to wood, so you need to prep properly to avoid warping. This helps reduce or eliminate the moisture seeping into the wood. Once sealed I sand it smooth. Then I start my pour or painting process. Once dried I let it cure 2 to 3 weeks. Once fully cured I seal it with varnish or resin.
