HWJ frequency modulation AnnaMotion Music 2025-09-29 | Here is my submission for this weeks HWJ Challenge! This week is all about FM Synthesis! I created this with just 3 modules (well sort of)The @4msCompany Meta Module was the heart of this patch! It was sequencing the 2FM-OP on behringer brains, Playing the vocal sample, sequencing and playing the bass, sequencing & playing the drums, used for Delay and Reverb and used as a mixer! The Instruo Arbhar was used for the pad! The vocal is John Chowning, the person who discovered FM Synthesis!It is amazing how these 3 modules made all of this!! Had so much fun with this! Xerophytes AnnaMotion Music 2025-09-15 | Had another play with the Instruo Pocket Scion and MiniDexed today!! The Pocket Scion was in Single channel mode playing a patch on the MiniDexed then going in to a Clouds port on the Poly Hector and then into Ableton through some Supermassive reverb! This created a really nice pad! I used the VCMC to control the filter cut off and resonance on the MiniDexed witch was being modulated with an LFO from the 4MS Meta Module! The Pocket Scion was also connected to my visuals program and was controlling multiple perimeters such as the hue and animation speed.This was great fun!! Pocket Scion + MiniDexed AnnaMotion Music 2025-09-12 | Had a play with the Pocket Scion and my MiniDexed! Had 4 different MIDI channels from the Scion controlling 4 different voices on the MiniDexed!MiniDexed is a DIY Raspberry Pi synth closely modelled on the Yamaha DX7! You get 8 DX7s in this little synth! It is amazing!! I am going to spend a bit more time with this pairing as they really work great together! And they are both really small and portable! Pocket Scion + Meta Module AnnaMotion Music 2025-09-05 | I got something shiny and new come through the post today!! I got an Instruo Pocket Scion and it is amazing!! I also went out and got an aloe vera plant to use as my test subject!! After playing with the instalments that it comes with I wanted to test out the MIDI connectivity with my 4MS Meta Module! Live Looping Ambient With the Microfreak and Polyend Synth AnnaMotion Music 2025-08-06 | Had a play with live looping using Poly Hector's Looper!I used the Microfreak and the Polyend Synth for the sounds, the 4MS Meta Module for the FX and the Poly Hector for the looper! The Microfreak was going straight in to the Poly Hector and then in to the Meta Module! I decided not to record the FX in to the looper as i wanted the reverb tails to blend everything when the loop restarted!! I used my Beatstep Pro to trigger the record and overdub on the Hector! Every sound in this patch was reversed apart from an arp witch i used an envelope with a long attack and short release to give the impression that it was! For the vocal sample i used the Erica Synth sample drum with CV controlling the direction of the play back and pitch! The Poly hector was used a lot in this patch as it has a reverse module. I ran this through multiple delays. The Poly Hectors turntable stop module was also used! Through Time and Space AnnaMotion Music 2025-07-20 | I was playing with my new 4MS Meta Module and ways of integrating it with my modular system! and ended up with this Drone! I used the Meta Module as a random sequencer and envelope generator bringing the neutron in and out. I used the Instruo Arbhar into the Qu-Bit Nautilus for the high pad like sound.The bass came from my SP-404 Mk2 This is in the key of D Lydian. The Sounds of Nightmares - Krell Style Patch AnnaMotion Music 2025-07-07 | Was not really musically inspired today so i went on a sound exploration instead! I ended up with this Krell style patch! It sounds like it belongs in a horror movie! The Befaco Rampage was at the heart of this patch! I used random voltages to modulate the rise and fall on both channels. One went to a VCA that was modulating the amplitude of Brains (MI Plaits clone) and the other went to the filter cutoff! I used the EOC (End Of Cycle) on the first channel of Rampage to trigger a sample and hold for the pitch. This produce some really nice randomness to it! My new 4MS Meta Module was on Scope duties! My partner suggested that I should put the names of the modules in a hat and pick one! So thats what i did! HWJ LFO Challenge - 20 Lfos AnnaMotion Music 2025-06-08 | This weeks Hardware Jam challenge is all about LFO's! Here is my submission! I have used 20 Lfo's In this Jam! The only sound that is not modulated by one is the kick! The bird sound is made with a saw wave from the neutron going in to monsoon (Clouds Clone) and this is modulated with using muxlicer from befaco! I had 7 different lfo's going in to muxlicer and then 3 going to monson, 2 going to the neutron and 2 going to the filter cutoff! The muxlicer was clocked with a random synced clock! The pad sound was made using the Arbhar and was modulate with random lfos from the Poly Hector! This was triggered from pams! Hope you enjoy!!!
