In the field: Crucifix Frog (Notaden bennettii) Matt Clancy 2017-06-25 | First upload in a LONG time...better late than never. I am mostly out of the 'keeping' side of the reptile hobby as its really changed over the past few years and there's all sorts of things I don't like about it. I only keep shinglebacks and water dragons now (the same ones as featured in my last past videos) which I am in the process of making a new, huge outdoor enclosure for (video to come). Anyway, wildlife photography and biodiversity conservation is my thing now and may start to upload vids of my experiences in the field etc. (you can check out my photography on Insta: @mjclancy)Here's a Crucifix Frog (aka Holy Cross Frog) I filmed earlier this year, in the southern extent of this species range is the Riverina, NSW. These vibrant, awesome, gold-ball sized, ant-eating burrowing frogs are incredibly well arid-adapted, and can spend years deep underground awaiting the next flooding rains to bring them to the surface to breed.
