It reminded me of writing authentic NES chiptune somewhat: there you could only use 3 voices + a noise channel due to how soundchip worked, and here you can't really use more than 2-3 voices at the same time because it becomes an unintelligible mess.So this song got a bigger number than Dan Worrall's one made with the same principle. How? Actually, how does it even go into positives, since it's more or less a weighted average of sample point values over some window, and all of those should be not higher than 0db? I don't actually know, but I have three guesses:1) It is a consequence of weighting, and my song happens to have more heavy-weighted frequency information than Dan Worrall's2) The software that measures LUFS takes true peaks into accounts, and my song has more high-frequency information/modulations/noise, therefore, more discontinuous flips between 1 and -1, therefore, more intersample peaks3) The software he and I used simply disagree on the measurements/I haven't used the same averaging window he usedIf you somehow stumbled upon this video without having heard of Dan Worrall, and have even a tiny bit of interest towards music production, please check out his channel, and fabfilter channel for the excellent tutorials on a wide variety of production topics. I wanted to experiment with how much of the creative process I could randomize - the key was chosen with a 12-sided dice, the BPM - with a D200 roll (plus 50 in case it wouldve gone below 50), the length of the sections was decided with rolls as well, and most synths used in the track have some of their parameters randomized.

DACHiTRAX - THANK YOU CODE Kusoro 2021-05-20 | An intro track from the "THX FOR XX YEARS", a tribute album to Camellia! It started as a project on his Discord server, with a bunch of fans gathering and deciding to make and album full of Camellia-inspired songs. The formed collective was called DACHiTRAX, and the intro song is the product of most of the members work - people were tasked with writing 4-bar drops in D# Minor and 200 bpm, which I later have assembled into a full track, first leaving the drops mostly untouched and remixing them mashcore-style for the round two. It also features a preview of the whole album, with one bar from each of every song that was finished by the time I've finished working on the intro song. The very beginning of the song is also a work of multiple people creating layers of ambience for me to assemble. Almost every repetition of the chord progression is a different subgenre (or my limited perception of it, anyway), with prominent being House, Hardcore, Hardstyle and Psytrance.
