Zynaptiq's Orange Vocoder IV does a lot more than robot vocals. Here are three real vocal production techniques you can use today.
In this video, Luke uses Zynaptiq's Orange Vocoder IV for vocoder and harmony layering.
Orange Vocoder IV Uses:
First, classic vocoded textures: layering a vocal modulator over the plugin's built-in synth and choosing from 24 vocoding algorithms that you can hover over and audition before committing to a sound.
Second, Orange Vocoder IV's built-in effects, using the onboard chorus to widen and thicken the vocoded signal without ever leaving the plugin.
Third, the PQ (pitch quantize) section, which generates a brand-new MIDI-driven harmony line from an existing top line for a deliberately mechanised, tuned effect that's distinct from a standard pitch correction plugin.
